Code Enforcement - Regular Meeting

Alright. Good afternoon, everybody. We're gonna go ahead and we're going to call to order the city of Jonesboro Public Safety Council Committee. If you are on this committee, if you'll go ahead and you'll denote your attendance by marking the button in front of you. Hey, thank you everybody. I show six members present so we do have a quorum. First coming up on our agenda for this evening is election of a chair for the Public Safety Commission for 2026.

Okay, I have a nomination and a second. Are there any other nominations for the role of committee chair? Okay, seeing none we'll go ahead and Nominations cease. Okay, nomination cease and we'll move on to a vote. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Great, Thank you for thank you for thank you for that appointment and also thank you for agreeing to serve on the public safety commission for another year to all the returning members. Appreciate you all and the time and the effort that you put in to the public safety for the citizens of the city of Jonesboro. We'll go ahead and we'll move on to the next item on the agenda being the approval of minutes from our previous meeting on Tuesday, December 16.

Move to adopt unless any change are noted.

Okay and that motion does carry. Thank you everybody. Okay, next item on the agenda is new business and we'll begin with resolutions to be introduced today and today, we have resolution twenty five two sixteen, a resolution by the city council of the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas to to condemn property located at 120 West Woodrow Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.

Scott, is there anything out of the ordinary on this one? There's been no change at the property. No permits have been pulled at this time. The owners stopped having any contact with David Cooley who handles these. That's where we're at. Okay. Move forward to full council. Second.

Okay. I have a motion to forward the full council. Do I have any other questions from anybody on the committee regarding this item? Anything from the administration or from the public in attendance? Okay. Seeing none, we'll go ahead and we'll take a vote on this item. Okay. That motion does carry. That will be forwarded on to full council. Next item on our agenda is pending items. I know of none unless there's any other business by anyone on the committee.

sir. Do we have any idea if the vector contract is this year? Is that up this year or is it?

I believe it is up this year and my understanding was I think that we're in the process of preparing that RFP. Is that correct gentlemen? Okay. Thank you. Yes sir, thank you. Is there any other business by anybody on the committee? Okay that brings us to our next item on the agenda being public comments. This is an opportunity where anything if anybody from the general public wants to discuss anything that was not on tonight's agenda, they would be able to step forward and do so. Okay, seeing none that brings us to the final item on the agenda being adjourned.
