Commissioner Kirby Carter. Let me get put some respect on your name.

13:29 – 14:40Speaker 1

Good evening, board. I have to make up for lost time. So, you know, I had to sign in. Um, I was driving down the road and got to looking the other day and I had brought this up previously and I just thought I bring it up before the board again because, you know, we have a lot uh to offer right here on our far west end of Goodman Road. We have Chick-fil-A, we have Wendy's, Captain De's, Chipotle, there's a gas station there. Um, numerous gas stations at uh Horn Lake Road and Goodman. And I had mentioned food and gas signs off of Highway 61, reaching out to our supervisors to help try to bring in some of that off 61. There's still no signs. And I feel like it could really, really attract some business cuz I know when I first moved here, I really fed off of those signs. But South Haven has had scooters put in. They've got that off of Highway 55 already on their signs. There's other new u businesses and things that have been put up, I've noticed, on different food signs, the gas stations. So, I just felt like maybe we could go to our supervisors and stuff in our area and see if that's something we can try to work off of 61 and try to bring in some business off 61 this way. Just a thought.

14:39 – 14:50Speaker 1

Thank you, Mr. Carter, for bringing it to our attention. That that's a great idea. We'll follow up and look into it and see what we can do. Thank you so much. Have a good evening. Thank you, Commissioner Carter.

14:53 – 15:50Speaker 1

All right. Now we'll enter mayor and correspondence. Uh I would like to thank AJ for our newsletter uh that just recently came out. We just give our hand. And if you haven't seen it, uh I know it's on our website also on which is uh hornley.org also on our social media Facebook page. I think that's the only one we have. Uh but you also can look at that. Uh but we want to make sure that citizens stay informed on things going on throughout the city. Uh things happening so that we're responsible uh with your tax dollars and also with resources. Um Alman, Alman Langston, Alman Johnson, Alman Smith,

Well, I guess I break the chain. I just want to remind all the alderman and department heads, I did put the letter out to y'all about April the 20th. They'll be here that 6:00. That's the Monday night before the next meeting. So, I'll try to send out another email when it gets to Monday or that weekend just to remind you again. But it is coming up. They want to discuss disaster situations and go over anything anybody may have questions about preparing for it. They also we got an email for all the department heads and elected officials as well today from the county. They're going to do this a winter storm response on the 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 12, but I know a lot of people can't go during the day because of their work. So, we could actually cover it that night. If you make that one here, you wouldn't need to be down there. We'll be a little more one-on-one here. Thank you. Thank you, Chief Lynville Drew.
