They've got two containers they picked up up there on seventh Street and they have for

down for a few years and then i've got a neighbor that gets one picked up too so they come right by my house so well i mean i can call you off and have a look at it see what that would be added to i'd like i make a motion to do that i also make a motion that we try to put some base down ourselves to build that up before we do anything

I had a maintenance guy come by and try to get in there for that. Six days later, it was 450, so it was kind of hard to get in there. on the general where we have big bias on services and charges. If you go back and look at the funds report, compare that where we've got the reimbursements and refunds, it's got 82,980. the commonwealth refunds would come to about 70 something thousand if you have time tomorrow tomorrow look in and see exactly how much you did reimbursing through commonwealth that should already be done but i'll look into that well chosen the revenue on the revenue page that there's like maybe maybe 2194 new persons has that already been transferred over because there's a minus 69 down there i had been doing that as we went i wasn't waiting until it was all done to transfer everything but i'll double check on it i'll just check on that i'm not sure how much Because I don't know where else the other money came from. That will be divided up between everybody.

What was it, a fuse panel that broke down?

Well, it was, and this is what Luscious said, we cut out the road there by the park to put a cone in, and everything was going great, and I had to say everything was going great, and then all of a sudden Bobby goes, that goes on fire. So I said, well, get out of here. He said, no, I got to take the panel off.

It's all true.

He got put the fire out, and then when he started, he put the panel off and started it up again. He refuses to call the fire. So I had to shut it off. Then, of course, he had to sit there for two days because we had to order a huge panel. Plus, as I said, it was because there was water in the taillights, and when it was short, it wasn't kicking out the right breaker. So then the other one's overheated and got on the fire, and now it's working again. And, of course, today, we blew another hole, so we had to take that one out.

And there's a breaker for that that should have popped the breaker and it didn't pull the breaker. So everything else over, he didn't call the fire. I'm like, get out of the back hole. But it's fixed again. Fire contractor gave me a copy of it.

At the county commissioner's meeting, they gave us this card a QR code for a comprehensive survey comprehensive plan survey it's on our Facebook page it's talking about this is the second one they've done it's talking more for like land use and things like that land use housing transportation Yes, so we encourage everybody to do that, put your two cents into it, because they need to hear from the people from our county. No, they have not. They actually, Commissioner Blessinger stated that they really need to get on top of it because that moratorium for any additional vest or any new or existing, I'm sorry, new or existing expansion, I think is what it says, moratorium is going to end in December. So if they don't do something about getting the ordinance in prior to that, then it's going to be wide open again for them to come in and put their permits and planning to accounting. I just think it's important. They did say that they are trying to look into having people on the different boards, not just people from Jasper, but also reaching out, which is a great idea, especially since it's, you know, the Duff area is getting ready. Phase two is basically from the railroad tracks all the way down, the way I understand it, almost all the way down to Batoka or Division Road, is what they said. So that's a large section of that's going in. So the phase two note, the moratorium has stopped it, has postponed it, should say stopped it, has postponed it as of right now. Second thing I had is at the INDOT meeting today in Honeyburg for the same with 64 basically they're going to reduce it down to three lanes from a four lane to the three lane similar to what uh 231 is north south of honeyburg where you have that chart lane that's a good concern a third lane so they're going to do that um and then i got to squeeze the hand of the person that talked to him about speed limits on 161 and i talked to her that we a few years ago probably what two two three years ago talked to and they did a radar speed gun uh certain study didn't find any problems with it so they basically dropped it down they were this stage yeah they stated that I'm going to work a proposal up um and I just want to make sure that the board's good with where I where I think it should be I think I think my initial talk with NDOT was from Meridian Street by the windmill chill and Kentucky Street 50 maybe 50 yards to the north 50 yards to the south make that a 45 mile an hour zone slow them down because I know everybody here has pulled out on 161 from the main on Main Street and has hasn't been surprised so and also on East Merritt and East Marriott's So I wanted to put a proposal together, and if everybody's good with those dimensions and measurements and everything else, I'll put that together. And I'll email it to her as well. I think I said it. I think I said it. Oh, no. I hate doing this. Raising this ugly head again. But some of the comments that we've received lately about things that are going on around and in college, The town has really no jurisdiction to tell people what they can or cannot do as long as they stay on the, Peter, keep me straight on this, as long as they follow what the state and some of our ordinances, what they can do to their house, their property. So we're getting surprised by certain things, and I think the only way that we can kind of get on, we can't stop it because we have no zoning, maybe look again into having them to do a building permit at town hall so we can know what they do. I don't mean if you put a roof on your house, that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about new construction, additions, or stuff like that. I think that's the only way that we're going to know what's going on because we're kind of blindsided on stuff.

We brought that up last year, $150 for a building permit, which is not that much. just so that they have to at least come down and tell us what's going on. So we know something's coming in. Even though we don't have zoning, at least we know what's coming in.

And I don't know about the 150s. I mean, I don't know if we really need to have that much.

I don't care if it's 75, but that's what we brought up a year ago.

But we need to make sure that we have a little bit more information on something that comes up instead of And I just think that we maybe might want to revisit that part of it. Short of going after zoning again.

I know how Tom feels about it. I know that there's a few people to the west of town I have to care about. But that's the only way that we can really truly control what goes on in this town. But if we can just get some type of a notice stating, hey, I'm going to put a shed on my my my property and we can say okay so it has to be eight feet eight feet off the parking lot that kind of stuff kind of a common sense approach to it and that way we know about it we can let them know like there are any ordinances and then we can put inside that that they have that are responsible to go to the county auditor office i believe it is to notify them that they're doing what they're doing so the tax rate don't think about taxes but the tax rate means we'll have to reassess it. So that's just my thoughts.

When people call down here, they'll always say we have to get a building permit.

We're not saying that you paint your house. You don't have to tell us that. If you get storm damage, you need a new roof. You don't have to tell us about that. It's any additional new construction to put in your home.

We have an ordinance. It's 13-01-005, town council review. All persons including furniture and corporations covered by ordinance number 1-94 shall present a written plan, photograph, or schematic for construction and replacement of all dwellings within the town of Holland to the town council at their regular meeting prior to placement and or construction of dwellings and prior to the next block balance. Utilities provided by the town of Holland. I kept it as block balance B. I mean, we don't have, I don't think we do have a, Well, like when the gas station was going to do this, they brought one.

So also at the commissioner meeting, our VSO, our volunteer service officer, Nick, got up and talked to the county commissioners about having the VSO office over the full time, five days a week. possibility of one day being a late day and I think that's a good idea because I don't know how many people I mean when I was when I was working Mondays was the only day I could go because that's my day off and that's the day they close so I would hope that all of our veterans would call commissioners and express your your thoughts about extending those or making it a full-time position for the most service for the VSOs. And that is all. Comments?

I got a comment on that. What's your comment? Okay, today I went to Jasper. I had an ankle appointment, no big deal. So anyhow, on the news, I heard our Amos Smith's boy, his name is Darryl Smith. They delivered mail to him. He's up in the big house now, so to speak. So he said that the veterans should come in to see the veteran service officer. So guess what? I just walked in there. She filled out my fair board. I took it over to the courthouse. Now, all these years that I've been paying taxes when I didn't have to, I could have ordered a Mercedes Benz. So I found out about that. So now a couple of years, I didn't have to pay any taxes whatsoever. So now they're trying to save money with this new deal. So now you go up there and if you're 100% disabled, then you're going to have to pay taxes on a million dollar estate. But when you have a certain percentage going up and down from like 0% all the way up to 100%, And they get 120%, but if you lose some, you still stay at 100%. Anyhow, then you get a reduction in your taxes. So I did that, and it works. I think I talked about that in the last meeting.

I got a quote from them because they will crack seal and put two coats of sealant on it and everything, and we looked at it. We would like to ask if the town could kick in 1806 for the packed ceiling and the three-lining of the handicapped, and the park will pay the 7,000 to have it sealed.

Since it's a town road. Everything in the park, yes. So is it starting to show somewhere?

It's got cracks. It needs to be sealed. It's good, you know, and... It's a two-coat rubberized sealant that they do. This is the map of the park. And they're doing everything, every parking lot, the entire road from the beginning to the end. And just like Assetown, kick in a little at least because it's $8,800 otherwise. So $1,800. That is for the crack sealant, which we have to pay. It's got to do anyway. and repainting the lines on the handicap i mean if they put in 1806 that would help us out and then we'll put the rest of them with our donations i mean i think it's a really good deal for the town keep up on it we're not going to have it fall apart again well that's that's the thing it was so long before it was fixed and it was 64 164 000 fix it i want to keep that down yeah it would too I mean, we try to pay our way, but we can't with that. So I'm just trying to save it.

All right. A few years ago, we had a stripe going up the middle of the road. A guy asked me, he says, it's dark in here. I don't know where the middle of the road is. Well, stripes are crap because they wear off and it's not good stuff. So it's real simple. You take a spike about this big and you put away these little reflectors. You drive over it and don't hurt it. It'll last forever. Your light shines on it. You can see it in the daytime. Have Scotty, just on his break, just hit about 60 saints and go straight down the center of the road and pin them about every, what, eight of them in a block. And then you'll know where the center is. And then you'll know where the sides. road. This is a little road, but we expanded it. But now we have what we have farming, and they have to be there. And so at least somebody will know where the center of the road, you just just nail it down in the hole. And if you have to ask, ask all over, ask all over, tear it up, just got a little supply for that. They have all the creation in the in the other states, and they're in parts. And why can't we it is cheap, it don't cost a lot. And if you want to make a mouse name of steel, Put your little reflector on it. Then you know where the center of the road is. Then you know there's a parking area. And if you want to, you can designate a parking area. Put a yellow dot, yellow dot, and when there's a fireman, then move out. Then they'll know where the fireman's supposed to be. Anyhow, that's my suggestion. I quit.
