Committee - Regular Meeting

I'll call to order the Health Committee on this Thursday, August 13th, 2026. The first item of business for us today is to approve the minutes from our meeting that was held July 28th. Seeing and hearing none, all those in favor, please signify by saying aye. Aye. Opposed? The minutes have passed. We have one item of new business. This is an addendum. Item 2A is an amendment to an agreement with Wakely Consulting Group, LLC, which is a subsidiary of Health Management Associates, Inc., for actuarial and consulting services to Hennepin Health. The dates on this are September 1st of 2026 through August 31st of 2029, increasing the NTE by just under $2.3 million. I'll move that if there's a second.

Thank you, Chair, and thank you, Commissioners. I'm Max Billings, CFO at Hennepin Health. This Board action request is for Hennepin Health's Actuarial and Consulting Services for September 2026 through August 2029. Wakely, they provide services that include professional and actuarial support, preparation of the annual actuarial opinion. They provide rate negotiation support with Minnesota Department of Human Services, as well as encounter data creation, reconciliation, and submission. Additional detail on the services that they provide, it's included in the BAR requesting increase of the NTE for, you know, just under the $2.3 million. It's a three-year agreement, and as Hennepin Health is a self-supporting enterprise fund, it does not use property tax dollars. Thank you, Chair and Commissioners.
