Old business continued to July 15, 2025, planning commission 2515 and planning commission 2516 Umbar Lane annexation reszoning. So do we have any new business? One one item, Mr. Chairman, if I may. Uh you see at the top we've listed all of the uh plan commission members. Um, and it's not because we just are trying to use up all the ink we have in the office, but there is a new law that goes into effect in July of this year that was passed by the most recent legislature that requires any board agendas of any types. Uh, should have should reflect the members of that board uh the source of their appointment, whether they were an elected official, whether they were an appointed official who who appointed them, and the the uh time of their term. So that is why that is there. Thank you Joanna for doing that. We're doing a test run. Uh so if you see that there's anything wrong with your appointment, please let us know. Then we are doing this citywide. Uh and as late as today, we're still tweaking what the format is going to look back look like. So it may be look different the next time you're around, but I wanted to point out that's why it will be there um a new law that I don't think impacts anything, but we will comply. So thank you, Lyn. Thank you. Any new business? No new business. Other business for recognition. Yes. Um, we would like to have the mayor and Jim Martin. Um, we want to recognize Jim's service to the city of Franklin Plan Commission. Um, he's been with us for 34 years. So, that's not possible, Jim, when you're only 35. How's that possible? I didn't meet. No, you did not. That is

3:54 – 5:530

very true. Good for you. [Laughter] He's going to trip over that chair. And Jo, I want to get a picture of you and Jim as well. So, I've known Jim a longful recognition celebration of 34 years of dedicated service to the city of Franklin. We want to present you with this token and the appreciation from all the boards that you've been on especially the commission and all the stuff that you've done for the city of Franklin and also in 2018 a lot of people don't know that Jim was volunteer of the year from the city of Franklin. So one good story We are recording this. Mayor Jim and I worked at at Indiana Gas and Veteran. He was in his 30s. I was in my 20s and we were down in ditches working. We was a contractor. Jim ended up being engineer or he was he ended up inspecting some of

the jobs that I was over whenever I was in my 30s and he was in his 40s. And then whenever he was in his 50s, I believe, and I'm in my 40s, he becomes an engineer. So Jim and I worked on certain jobs all over for this county, Shelby County over Greensburg and Franklin, all around projects for Indiana Gas. We got some good stories. This one, this one, we were working. Okay. And we were we run this whole new neighborhood, this gas line. There's these clusters of four vows. I hope you remember this story. We have this guy named Jim Him. So anyway, this guy didn't pound and there's four valves there. Jim and I are looking at each other like [Laughter] So we shut off those four. We pick a val we think makes the most sense. We shut off the wrong valve and they kill about 120 customers. Then all of a sudden we see this blue Indiana gas car coming and this guy weighs about 90 pounds. He throws it up in park and he jumps out the car. The car's rocking back and forth. He goes, "Somebody's head is going to roll." And Jim and I looked at each other and Jim says, "I think we shut off the We had some good times working together just to be here tonight. We wanted to be a part of this and give this to you. Frank, thank you for what you did. The city of Franklin, [Applause]

7:48 – 9:330

I'm speaking as I hate to as an attorney who's been on the board with Jim all of those years and Jimary showed up on time. Thank you for everything. He did. He always saved me. I was always running. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. Any other business? No other business. No other business. Do we have a motion to adjurnn? I make a motion. Second. Second. All those in favor signify by saying I. I. I.
