4:25 – 5:03Speaker 5

Thank you, chair Baez. It's my pleasure tonight. We had a couple of commissioners that have left our commission and moved on to bigger and better things. And we wanted to definitely recognize them this evening and give them a little bit of our appreciation for all the work that they did this past year. So at this time, I would like to ask miss Tori Lozano to come up to the dais and mister Dylan Kiedel. Can I ask the commission to please, come out front? We have a presentation to give to you all, and then I believe our commissioners may have a few words. If either of you would like to give a few words, please feel free. The mic is all yours.

5:35 – 6:18Speaker 1

Well, thank you both for being here right on the day that you were supposed to be off. We appreciate it. That and the service that you've given to the residents of this great city in your new roles. We very much appreciate the time that you took to be here and walk with us. And now you're on a different commission serving in the planning. And, again, we wish you all the best, but we have these two awards, one for each of you. Commissioner Kietel, commissioner Lozano, still part of the family, but just in a different department. So we appreciate, again, all that you did, and we'll turn the mic over to each of you if you want to have any final words on this or commission meeting.

6:18 – 6:45Speaker 6

Okay, thank you. Thank you, Chair Vaez. First, I just want to say thank you to the mayor, city council, Daniel, Christy, Michael, Gino, my fellow former crew, and the CSD employees department. You guys were awesome. So supportive and I appreciate my time as a park commissioner. Thank you all.

6:46 – 7:22Speaker 7

Just want to echo what Tory mentioned. Thank you to Director Schneider and your entire staff, all of the city staff. You guys are absolutely amazing. I love interacting with you guys each and every day as my kids go to Tiny Tots, and I'm up at the Jesse Turner Center, like, four days a week. So you guys are just absolutely amazing up there and throughout the city. So I appreciate all of you guys. Super pleased and excited to be serving on the planning commission. Thank you to the mayor and the city council for trusting me and and Tory to join that commission, and we're just super excited but also a little bittersweet to be leading, you know, our first family here at the city of Fontana. So, thank you guys so much.

7:25Speaker 1

If we can scoot over, scoot on in and then we'll take a group photo. Mister Schneider, did you wanna

7:32Speaker 5

It's all good.

7:32Speaker 1

Okay. Yeah.

7:34Speaker 5

No. I appreciate it.

8:32Speaker 1

So thank you once again for coming out. And at this point, we're gonna move on to swearing in commissioners. Again, the time we're gonna turn over to director Schneider.

8:42 – 9:03Speaker 5

Thank you, chair Vaez. I apologize. I'm gonna ask for all of you to get back up and come to the front of the dais. At this time, I wanna introduce, our chief deputy city clerk, Christina Rutzel, and she is going to be doing the swearing in of you all this evening. If you've brought your bibles or your family members, this is when we would ask for them to come up, to the dais.

9:10Speaker 5

And please, the the more the merrier, so don't be shy. You could bring the whole family. We're fine.

9:49 – 10:30Speaker 8

Okay, we get everybody. You all have your family members and guests and everybody has a Bible or does anybody need a Bible? Okay. We'll have you yeah. Everybody's facing the audience. Perfect. And, go ahead and place your left hand on the Bible and raise your right hand. And then I'm going to, When I say state your name, you'll state your name altogether in unison, and then I will read off the oath and have you repeat it, and we'll go along until we get through the oath. Is everybody ready to get started? Wonderful.

10:31 – 12:14Speaker 8

I state your name, do solemnly affirm that I will support and defend the Constitution of The United States and the constitution of the state of California against all enemies, foreign and domestic that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the constitution of The United States and the constitution of the state of California that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties upon which I'm about to enter. Congratulations, you are all officially sworn in. I think we'll go ahead and have you all take a group photo with your family and your guests, then we'll have our commissioners take a group photo. Okay. And then we're gonna ask the commissioners to stay, and we'll get a group photo of you.

12:35Speaker 8

Congratulations! Let's give them a round of applause!

12:43 – 13:06Speaker 5

Congratulations and welcome to the commission. If we can give a real quick round of applause for Christina for doing the swearing in tonight. She was yeah. She she was she was substituting for the mayor, I thought she did a great job. So thank you so much. We appreciate it.

13:13Speaker 1

Thank you again. And here we are at item c, Division updates. Once again, the time will turn over to director Schneider.

13:20 – 13:44Speaker 5

Thank you, chair of eyes. I'm gonna actually turn this over to community services manager Michael Wright, and he will be introducing his staff, and then we'll go through each manager, and they will be introducing each of their division supervisors to give you all a presentation and you have an organizational chart in your folder if you want to review that now or later but we're gonna present to you pretty much the entire division tonight.

13:47 – 14:01Speaker 9

Alright. I have the privilege and honor to introduce Tara Cloak, community services supervisor of our facilities, and Doug Johnson, community services supervisor for our senior programming.

14:30Speaker 5

Kefan, can we get the slides up?

16:06Speaker 5

apologize for the technical difficulties, but we're gonna go ahead and give Tiffany a round of applause for making that happen.

16:14Speaker 1

Thank you, Oliver. Here we go.

16:20 – 16:34Speaker 10

Good evening. Once again, my name is Tara Cloak. I am the supervisor that oversees facilities. The city does offer programming at 13 different facilities throughout the city. I oversee four of those.

16:35 – 17:14Speaker 10

The Jesse Turner Center, we do have one of our coordinators here this evening with us, Rita Rocha, in the audience. The Heritage Neighborhood Center, the Cypress Center, as well as the Don Day Center, and one of our coordinators Lauren Sweet is with us this evening that oversees that facility. Our facilities also have the ability to be rented. So they are used for banquets, weddings, baby showers, meetings, not only for internal, but also can be used for private businesses. And we do have a joint use and work with the school district as well.

17:16 – 17:50Speaker 10

One of our other big programs during the summer, we're getting ready to kick off our summer camps and those are offered at eight locations throughout the city for ages six to 15. We offer our tiny tot program. It's a recreational based program for students three to five years old, and those are at the four locations which I oversee. And also our Above the Limits program, that is our program for individuals with disabilities and special needs. It's a recreational based program.

17:50 – 18:06Speaker 10

It is free for anybody to participate. We are going to be hosting our prom tomorrow evening at the Jesse Turner Center. We're super excited and that's rocking fifties. If you would like to join us or stop by that begins it's from six to nine.

18:09 – 18:37Speaker 11

Alright. Good evening, commissioners. My name is Doug Johnson. I oversee contract classes as well as senior services. Contract classes, those are all the classes held throughout the facilities throughout the city of Fontana. They are instructor led. We have contract instructors that teach these classes. The goal with the classes are to offer safe, fun, affordable classes for all ages and abilities. You can see on the slide there's a few different classes we offer and pretty much everything in between. So we're always looking for new instructors as well.

18:37 – 19:15Speaker 11

If anyone is interested in teaching a contract class, please visit your nearest community center to get more information. Or if you would like to sign up for a class, you can also visit a community center to sign up as well. The other area I oversee is the senior services division. We have four full time staff members that work at the senior center just to ensure daily operations are always running smoothly. One of them is here tonight, Jair. He was back here taking pictures. If you guys have not been to the senior center yet, I definitely recommend you check it out. We are very fortunate in the city of Fontana to have a premier senior facility for our residents here. Probably one of the top ones in the entire region. So please stop by, take a tour.

19:15 – 19:39Speaker 11

You can ask for me. I I'll be happy to show you around and let you guys see the facility. We have both active and passive spaces for our members to enjoy. Some areas that are available, we have arts and crafts room, a dedicated billiards room and a card parlor, computer lab, a fitness center. We also have a on-site coffee vendor who brews freshly made coffees as well as a beauty salon that does styling, manicures, pedicures, that type of thing as well.

19:40 – 20:10Speaker 11

Some of the programs we have at the senior center include our clubs, which are all volunteer led. We have about 45 senior volunteers at the senior center that lead clubs ranging from sports, quilting, crocheting, bingo, bunco, all kinds of different activities for our seniors to take part of. We have monthly excursions. They visit local attractions in Southern California, including casinos, museums, zoos, wineries, things like that. Our monthly special events, we have our dances, the second Friday of every month.

20:10 – 20:28Speaker 11

Tara mentioned that she has ATL prom coming up. We just finished our senior prom about two weeks ago where we did crown a senior prom king and a senior prom queen. So it's a really fun event for our community to take part in. We have a transportation program. We partnership with GoGo Grandparent to provide transportation services to our senior members.

20:28 – 21:09Speaker 11

They are able to take up to ten one way rides per week anywhere in Fontana, whether they want to go visit the senior center, visit friends or family, they can go to a restaurant, they can go to medical appointments or grocery store, whatever they choose to do. They just make a quick phone call and they'll have a car pick them up at their home and take them exactly where they want to go. And then we also have our daily nutrition program. So one thing that makes our senior center a little unique compared to a lot of other centers is that we actually freshly prepare meals every day on-site. So we have staff that are planning, preparing, and then serving meals every day to our senior members, which is a really a great thing we're able to offer to our residents We here in give them a restaurant style experience at a incredibly affordable rate.

21:09 – 21:22Speaker 11

So it's a great program that we're able to take care of for our members here. And again, you guys want to visit us, we're at 16710 Series Avenue. I'll be happy to show you around. And I will turn it over now to Stan and Bianca, I believe.

21:27 – 21:41Speaker 12

Doug's Doug stole my thunder. It's my opportunity now to introduce my two supervisors. I got Stan Clark and Bianca Morales. Then they're gonna do a brief overview of events, athletic services division.

21:41Speaker 13

Hi. My name is Stan Clark, and I oversee two primary programs here in the too too high, too low.

21:49Speaker 1

Oh, yeah. There you go.

21:50 – 22:29Speaker 13

Thank you. Yeah. Good team. Okay, so I oversee two primary programs here in the city of Fontana, sports and aquatics. Aquatics, I have two coordinators that work with me. Josh Marquez is in the audience right behind me. Appreciate you guys. Okay, and then along with them they have upwards to almost 200 people to work with them seasonally, and then we scale back to about half that number in the off season. There are five pool sites that we operate in the summer, and one of those being a year round site up at Fontana Park. In the summer, which is what we're gearing up for, teach lots of swim lessons, numerous swim lessons, well as rec swim in the summer.

22:29 – 23:10Speaker 13

So we're looking forward and gearing up for that right now. And we also have other various programming there, special needs swim lessons, pool rentals, aqua aerobics, lap swim, water walking, lots of fitness kind of stuff, as well as teams come in the water throughout the wintertime heavily. Great programs going on there. Special Olympics is kind of the offshoot of that operation as well, where currently we are planning for a regional games this Saturday. So if you're not busy, stop by the aquatic center up there. You're gonna see some swimming, basketball, and bocce being held up there during the day Saturday. So thank you. We're gonna move on now to sports. Talk about that a little bit. Our sports program features various sports to ages one through 17.

23:11 – 23:31Speaker 13

I have two coordinators that work with that primarily. Both of them couldn't make it tonight, but one them is out of sports tonight. And then I have a third person who actually oversees lots of facility use here in the city. All those parks and all their fields and such are what he manages, which is a huge job all by itself. So those three unfortunately couldn't make it, I do appreciate those guys as well.

23:32 – 24:11Speaker 13

Their staff ranges anywhere from like 30 to 50 people throughout the year that they're working with. And the outreach there is from, as I said, young ages all the way up to the middle school level. We're currently in the midst of soccer and basketball at those levels. And they're gearing up for sports camp this summer that's coming real quick. An offshoot of this kind of program, I mentioned those those different facilities that we oversee, but skate parks is also kind of under the realm for me. So I'm looking on that, but we are contracted. So I largely just work with the group to to maintain the level of service there. So appreciate you guys coming out and visit us at any point to see those programs. I'm going turn it over to Bianca.

24:14 – 24:29Speaker 14

Good evening again, Commissioners. I'm Bianca Morales, community services supervisor. And I will go over a brief highlight of some of my program areas. First is special events, which you've met Ms. Diana Escobar in workshop.

24:31 – 25:02Speaker 14

Diana does all of the magic of the city and just as Gino showed you the calendar, we like to keep you busy in the city, especially in the summer months. With citywide, we organize over 28 large scale events throughout the city. That does not include co sponsorships. So those are city events only. And then of that, there are nine major annual events, summer concert series where we do eight consecutive Thursdays in June and July.

25:02 – 25:20Speaker 14

At Miller Park, we do our Fontana Days Run that will take place the first Saturday in June. So if you're any runner buffs, we join you. We invite you to join us. We have categories all the way from a half marathon to a five ks to a children's half mile dash. So there's something for the entire family to join in.

25:20 – 25:51Speaker 14

We have a fourth of July celebration that takes place at Summit High School. Our Spring Street Night Market takes place on Spring Street where we shut down the entire street, bring in graffiti artists, over 40 vendors, arts and crafts, different activities for the kids. It's a great night. We have our Pumpkin Poolooza, which is a new event that we just started last year where we throw hundreds of pumpkins in the pool up at the Aquatic Center. We partner with them, and the community has the opportunity to go swimming with those pumpkins and take one home.

25:51 – 26:25Speaker 14

We have our Festival of Winter, which is one of our larger events here at Miller Park, our Fontana Car Show, our Family Fun Nights, Volunteer Appreciation, Tree Lighting, and the list can go on and on. Next up is our Healthy Fontana program. Healthy Fontana coordinator is Jasmine Sarcedillas, who is also here this evening. The Healthy Fontana program has been offering programs to the community since 2003. The program is based on four pillars: nutrition, active living, smart growth, and community partnership.

26:25 – 27:07Speaker 14

Some of the programs that Healthy Fontana runs consistently is our Fontana walks. We meet on the second Saturday of every month throughout the city and do a walking program. We have garden workshops that take place at the community garden at Central City. Our farmers market that takes place on Thursday evenings down south and Sunday mornings up at Fontana Park. We have recently just started doing cooking classes. There are free community cooking classes that take place at the senior center on Saturday mornings. We do those every other month. So our next one is in May. And we have our Fresh Fit and Fun Fair, which was just renamed last year. It was previously Let's Move on the Trail.

27:07 – 27:29Speaker 14

So we renamed it. We moved it up north, and it is at Montana Park. And that will be in September. And then we do several collaborations with FUSD and the Expanded Learning Program, going out to different community events, teaching the kids in the after school program, different nutrition, things like that. And they're also involved in several community events, tabling events at the Senior Center.

27:29 – 27:55Speaker 14

They visit some of our summer camp programs and various things like that throughout the community. And then our Nature Center. Nature Center coordinator is Jordan Giena. If you have not had an opportunity to go down south and check out the nature center, I highly encourage you to. There are several animal ambassadors, as Jordan likes to call them, down at the nature center.

27:56 – 28:34Speaker 14

It is open Wednesday through Sunday, and they do an afternoon animal demonstration where they'll pick a different animal to bring out and kind of show you some of them. There's beautiful hiking trails, nature walks, there's educational field trips that take place there, it feels like, every day of the week for poor Jordan. And there's also several community events that take place down there. Our Astronomy Night, Public Lands Day, Earth Day, and the jazz concert that we just started implementing last year. So lots to see down there. We welcome you to all of the programs and facilities, and hope you enjoy.

28:38Speaker 15

It's my pleasure to introduce supervisors Sergio Baregron and Tiffany Starks.

29:04 – 29:37Speaker 16

Good evening. My name is Sergio Barragan. I am supervisor for the Fontana Expanded Learning Program. Fontana Expanded Learning Expanded Learning Program is an after school program that provides enrichment at 33 Fontana Unified School sites together with my five coordinators who are here, Andrew Solares, Vanessa Cortez, Wendy Perez, Sonia Vaquera, and Chantal Garcia. And over 200 staff work together to provide services for 3,200 students here in the district.

29:38 – 30:20Speaker 16

Along with those programs, we operate between the bell ringing for dismissal until 06:00PM, Monday through Friday, where we provide homework support, STEM activities, fine arts, as well as field trips and motivational speaking. We look to develop our children to be socially socially and emotionally aware so that they could succeed. We support the school day by aligning with their academic goals as well as supporting their attendance rates. This year, we've been lucky enough to have several field trips, we're about to end our year. So we're looking forward to our coming field trips to Rancho Los Rios and our end of year celebrations.

30:20 – 31:01Speaker 16

As we close off, we are looking for our summer program where we will be having camp for an estimated 2,000 students. I am also lucky enough to be the supervisor for the mayor's youth advisory council. The the mayor's youth advisory council is composed of 62 members who are young leaders here in the community that are committed to supporting the city's efforts in providing youth opportunities for career and college expansion. Led by their adviser, Andrew Solares. They meet monthly to be able to provide, leadership skills as well as, guest speakers to expose students to future careers.

31:02 – 31:27Speaker 16

One of the highlights that we wanna share is leadership summit. Team leadership summit is developed and led by the student by the members, sorry, and provides various workshops that provide life skills and leadership skills for the for the community. This year, we were lucky enough to service 300 families. So we look forward to this coming year. Our banquet will be in June, so look out for those invites.

31:32 – 32:15Speaker 17

Good evening. My name is Tiffany Starks. I oversee cultural arts as well as marketing and communications. The Fontana Arts team, which is led by two coordinators, Efrain Torres and Ian Stewart, really have one overarching goal, and that is to make arts accessible to the community. Oftentimes, it can be very intimidating. People don't consider themselves to be artists. So we want to create a warm, welcome, fun environment for people to express themselves creatively. We have a number of programming and events that we put on. We have our monthly Pete Nights, which ages from three all the way up through adults. You can come in and just drop in and say, hey, I want to do some art with your team members.

32:15 – 32:52Speaker 17

And you can do art with us. We also have a special needs art program in which we are more equipped to meet the sensitivities for the people that are visiting us for that art program. We have two things that are coming up this month that I want to invite everyone to. We have our Beauty and the Beast, which is being put on by our youth community theater. We have four shows next weekend. So if you have some free time, feel free to drop by. I'll get you some tickets. And then in May, we have our largest arts festival that we put on here in the city, the Fontana Arts Festival. That's going be on May 17 from five to 10PM. We're going to celebrate all kinds of art, music, dance.

32:53 – 33:20Speaker 17

We have a graffiti artist. We're very, very excited about that event, we hope that you can join us there. We also have a working art gallery, so you can always just come through. You can even go to a workshop with a professional artist that will lead you through their craft and teach you and give you tips and tricks on some of the fantastic things that they are able to put together. I also oversee the Marketing and Communications Division.

33:20 – 33:41Speaker 17

We support both externally and internally the communications of these fantastic programs that my team members have talked about thus far. It is led by our Marketing and communications specialist, Marcus Brown, who's in the audience back there taking video. I believe he's the newest member to our team, our department. He started this past July. He's doing fantastic.

33:42 – 34:08Speaker 17

And so led by Marcus, the marketing team shares CSD's programs, services, and classes to residents, as well as neighboring community members. We produce content both in print and digital media. Some examples of our print materials are going to be our seasonal activities brochure, which you have a photo of it here on the screen. We also do street banners, window clings, flyers, rad cars, brochures. Our team is very, very talented.

34:08 – 34:39Speaker 17

And then when it comes to digital material, we oversee oversee the Community Services Department's web pages. We do some electronic billboards on the 210 And 10 Freeway, as well as our social media channels. As the marketing and communications supervisor, I'm always going to encourage people to like, share, save, post, bookmark our pages. You do not want to miss out on the fantastic things that we offer. We wanna feed the algorithm.

34:39 – 35:09Speaker 17

The more that we are liking and sharing and saving things, the more you are going to see our content on your feed. And you definitely do not wanna experience FOMO. You don't wanna miss anything that we have going on. So please make sure that you are following us and engaging with us so you can stay up to date on the fantastic things that we currently do and the phenomenal things that we have on board for this upcoming summertime. You can also subscribe to our newsletter.

35:09 – 35:29Speaker 17

We do a monthly newsletter that goes out to the community highlighting all of the fantastic programs and events that we have going on with the links and access to all of our web pages and for more information. That concludes our presentation. I believe I am the last one. Yes. That concludes our presentation. If anyone has any questions, we're available to answer them.

35:30 – 35:51Speaker 1

Are there any questions with my colleagues? Comments? I had one in regards to and this is maybe for mister Farrar. With the upcoming season or flag football, is that an item that at some point we're gonna start programming for?

35:53Speaker 12

We have been looking into the trends of flag football, but we haven't established a league to start anytime soon. But we'll continue to look into that for sure.

36:02 – 36:13Speaker 1

Thank you, sir. Thank you to everyone for your presentations. Phenomenal job in new staff that is adapting to your roles. Thank you very much.

36:15 – 36:46Speaker 5

Chair Vaez, if I could jump in real quick. I just wanna say thank you to the all the supervisors and all the staff. The managers and myself came up with this idea on pretty short notice, and I thought they did a really good job. And I wish I could present like they present, but I'll get there one day. But I am gonna do something. I don't know if I'm allowed to, but I'm gonna do it anyways. So what I would like to do is ask the commission if they can come up to the front of the dais and have all our staff come take a photo. You good with me doing that? Okay. We're we're we're gonna do it. Alright.

39:23 – 39:54Speaker 1

And this concludes our special presentation, thank you staff for being here and for your presentations. At this time, we're going to move on to public communications. This is the opportunity for citizens to speak to the Parks Community Human Services Commission for up to three minutes on items not on the agenda but within the Parks Community Human Services Commission's jurisdiction. The Parks Community Human Services Commission is prohibited by law from discussing or taking immediate action on non agendized items. Are there any public communication requests?

39:55Speaker 10

There are no speakers at this time, chair.

39:58 – 40:24Speaker 1

Thank you, miss Gutierrez. So at this time, we're gonna move on to consent calendar. All matters listed under consent calendar will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. There will be no separate discussions on these items prior to the time commission votes on them unless a member of the commission requests a specific item be removed from the consent calendar for discussion. Does any member of the public wish to address the commission regarding any item on the consent calendar before the vote is taken?

40:26 – 40:45Speaker 1

Hearing none, we'll entertain a motion to approve the consent calendar. And if you can please just state your name and then the motion for the record. Commissioner

40:45Speaker 2

Glass, and I'll make a motion.

40:46Speaker 1

Commissioner Glass motion. Can we get a second?

40:50Speaker 3

Commissioner second.

40:52 – 41:30Speaker 1

Commissioner Roldin seconded. If we are we voting Orly? Okay. So we're gonna go ahead and you wanna take the role or the votes or you want me to? Oh, okay. Okay. Commissioner Glass? Aye. Commissioner Orones? Aye. Commissioner Walden? Aye. And Chair Vailles, aye. Motion passes unanimously. And now we're gonna move on to new business. And for this item, we are going to turn the time back to director Schneider.

41:31Speaker 5

Thank you, chair Vaez. At this time, I'm gonna go ahead and invite up our special event division to give you our co sponsorship.

41:51 – 42:20Speaker 18

Good evening again. I'll be going over, as Daniel mentioned, a brief overview of the cosponsorship applications received during the cycle one period that were accepted during the February month. And those took place so those are free events taking place 2025 to 2026 fiscal year, as mentioned earlier. We received a total of 17 eligible applications. Three of them, as I mentioned, were new organizations that we'll be working with.

42:21 – 42:54Speaker 18

Five are requesting assistance with community events, and then two are facility use request. That is totally an amount of in kind services of $47,379. All organizations in consideration did meet all the cosponsorship policies and guidelines. As you can see in attachment a, that listens all the city policies. Attachment B provides application descriptions, and then attachment C will provide a listing of the organizations applying for co sponsorship.

42:55 – 43:36Speaker 18

Attachment D will give you a cost breakdown of in kind services. And then please note that the funding for co sponsorships, in the amount of 37,500 was approved by city council for the twenty twenty five, twenty twenty six fiscal year. As mentioned, the requested funding during the February filing period did total 47,379. That leaves us with a balance of negative $9,879 for the remainder of the twenty twenty five, twenty twenty six fiscal year. In the past, as mentioned earlier, City Council has approved, a negative balance.

43:36 – 43:51Speaker 18

With that being said, please review and evaluate the requesting applications provided, for your recommendations for City Council. And I am able to answer any questions or any comments that you guys may have.

43:53 – 44:04Speaker 1

Thank you. Are there any questions for my colleagues or comments? Thank you once again, Deanna.

44:04Speaker 18

You're welcome. Thank you.

44:07Speaker 1

So with that, we'll go ahead and We

44:09Speaker 5

I'm so sorry. We actually need a motion and a second to approve the cosponsorship. Yeah. Sorry about that.

44:18 – 44:41Speaker 1

No. It's okay. That's where we're gonna go. So we're gonna go ahead and ask and request for an approval of new I new business item a for the cosponsorship approval. And before we we motion for the approval, we're gonna have just one comment made by commissioner glass. Commissioner glass.

44:42 – 44:53Speaker 2

I would like to approve the co sponsorship but like to abstain from, one which is the working dolls for warriors due to them being a previous client.

44:54Speaker 1

So commissioner Glass, just for clarification of the record, will recuse herself from working dogs as a co sponsorship item, and she, when she casts her vote, will approve the balance of that.

45:04Speaker 10

It'll be noted in the minutes.

45:06Speaker 1

Thank you. So if we can request a motion.

45:11Speaker 2

Aye. Commissioner Glass make a motion to approve.

45:15Speaker 1

Motion by commissioner Glass. Can we get a second?

45:20Speaker 4

Alright. Commissioner Ordinia seconds.

45:22 – 45:33Speaker 1

Commissioner Ordinia seconded. And at this point, we're gonna go ahead and take a oral vote once again. Commissioner Glass?

45:34Speaker 2

So do I need to repeat again the about abstaining or just saying You

45:37Speaker 5

just said you would

45:38Speaker 1

just say Cast your vote. I have your name. Okay.

45:40Speaker 2

Commissioner Glass, approve.

45:42 – 46:15Speaker 1

Aye. Commissioner Ana Ordonez. Commissioner Ordonez, aye. Commissioner Roldan. Commissioner Roldan, aye. Chair Baez, aye. Motion passes unanimously. And at this point of the agenda, we're on to commissioner comment or communication and reports. So we'll turn the time over for each of you to make any brief comments. Thank you all for your comments and, you know, we wanna once again recognize staff for the outstanding job that they do day in and day out. And even in the midst of the immense pressures you're in as we're evolving with these programs and the events that we put on, it really seems seamless and stress free. Although I know when we're in that moment, you you don't show it, and I really appreciate the the collaborative efforts, right? We see even though we have many divisions within this department, everyone really pulls in together to make the events evolve the way that they do. So it's that collaborative effort that gives us the perception of a stress free environment.

As you all know, it's very challenging with the agenda, the preparation, and then also working alongside myself where I might come up with an idea and say this is what we're gonna do. So I thought she did extremely well for her first commissioning so I just want to say thank you. So and with that I will pass it over to Michael.
