A duplex on Grandview Lane could eventually be replaced with a four-unit townhome development. Last month, Donne Homes presented a preliminary concept to the Dinah City Council for the property at 5201 Grandview Lane. The proposal would replace the existing duplex with four owner-occupied townhomes, all served by a shared driveway from West 52nd Street.

Well, Grandview is obviously in change. It's in flux hugely. It gave us the opportunity to look at what this area should become and You know, it does seem to be a bit of a unicorn in the city with its zoning and being surrounded by apartment buildings. It just feels like not a mistake, but an area that can be enhanced easier than trying to come back into a single family area and redevelop for a denser product.

The Council provided preliminary non-binding feedback on the concept. Before the project could move forward, the developer would need to submit formal applications to amend the City's Comprehensive Plan and rezone the property. Those requests would include additional public review and hearings before any final decision is made.
