Thank you.
So Mayor, Council, thank you so much for being here. I want to start with introductions and announcements. And then we do not have a general session today, but we have a full set of both executive sessions and closed sessions. And so we'll get through some of our public announcements and then jump in. So, four introductions. We are delighted to welcome a new council leadership this morning. Congratulations to our new president, Diana Merrill Campbell, who you all may know and already love. Congratulations to our new president, Pro Tem, Councilman Gonzales Gutierrez, who will all do their introductions. Obviously, we don't get to talk about this tonight at our State of the City, but a huge debt of gratitude to our president, Sandoval, who's done an incredible job these last two years. It's been such an honor to serve with you, and thank you so much. I'm very excited about the team that we have on the road ahead. So with that, we will start with the always inspirational, always dignified, always distinguished councilman to my right.
Wow.
Pressure is on.
A minute here. Good morning, Paul Cashman, South Denver District 6.
Good morning, Amanda Chantel, North Denver District 7. Good morning, Sedena Gonzalez-Gucheras, one of your council members at large.
Reverend Flynn, Southwest Denver, District 2. Jamie Torres, West Denver, District 3.
Good morning. Diana Romero-Campbell, Southeast Denver, District 4. Great.
I would love to open it up first for any announcements. If council members have announcements. I couldn't even get through announcements this morning. The floor is open. Anyone want to share with the listening public at home or with fellow colleagues on important things in your world?
Thank you so much. We have started our movie in the park series. We were at Martinez Park last week and we'll be at Lama Lincoln Park showing Zootopia 2 this Thursday. So come on by. Thank you.
Other announcements? Councilwoman Sandoval.
Good morning. So this, we have our yoga, free yoga series. So we'll be at the Elitch Carousel Dome on 38th and Tennyson this Wednesday. So rain or shine. So you come down at 6 p.m. tomorrow. And then we also have our annual resource fair, Zoo Night and Movie in the Park at Zoo Night Park. I think I was thinking about it. I started this one in 2013. So this is over a decade-long tradition. So it's Friday, August 28th, and we're... Playing how to train your dragon so Friday August 28th at Zuni Park so the furthest part of the city 51st in tonight.
Thank you so much Madam President.
Thank you. We have our South by Southeast concert in the park that's going to happen on August 15th. And the reason I'm telling you about this early is because I'm being stopped and people are asking, who's going to be the band this year? Still a surprise, but it's basically going to be a fun swing band. So August 15th, it's really happening at Bible Park, and everyone's invited.
Thank you. Other announcements? Alrighty. Great. Well, with that, we do have a full set of items to cover in executive session and closed session. So with that, I will now entertain a motion to move us in an executive session pursuant to DRMC 234A, sections 3, 6, and 7, with the purpose of discussing pending litigation and legal advice related thereto.
So moved.
All in favor?
Aye.
Any opposed? Okay, with that we will enter into executive session. Thank you all so much for being here. Thank you members of the public. Thank you folks coming to the State of the City. We'll see you tonight if you want to join us at the National Western Complex.
