Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Mayor Council. Thank you so much for joining us. We have a short general session this morning and an executive session, but we are delighted for you to hear from your council members who are here. Let's start off with some introductions with the distinguished gentleman to my right. Could you kick us off, please, sir?

Great. Thank you all for being here. We do have an executive session calendar this morning, but we do have time for announcements and any updates that council members would like to give to their fellow council members or to the public at large. Councilman Cashman.

I want to steal a little thunder from my friend, Councilwoman Romero-Campbell, who threw the bash of the century. Literally of the century. Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Welsher Golf Course. Great golf tournament in the morning. I actually had the pleasure. Brian was in my force and we had big fun. Great weather. And then the celebration in the evening, three, four hundred people showed up to, you know, just make community and celebrate one of South Denver's great assets. So Councilwoman's been acknowledging it. I just wanted to acknowledge her contribution.

And your team. Yeah. Because they're a bunch of people. You did an amazing job. You did an amazing job. Good team, good volunteers. Fantastic party. Thank you, Councilman. You betcha. Councilman Alidre, sir.

Yes, speaking of celebrations, last week we were able to celebrate 75th anniversary of the fire station number 23, which was really special. There was generations of firefighters there, and just to be there and know that it's such a special firehouse, that firefighters, like, desire to go to and get in line to go to was really special. So congratulations to fire station 23. And then... I also wanted to share that I'll be at Bike Fest this Saturday, so check it out, York Street Yards. It'll be fun. I know Dottie will be there as well as CDOT, and there'll be a lot of fun bike-related things to do, so hope to see you there.

Thank you so much, Councilman. Councilman Ides. Thank you, Mayor. I don't always talk about all the things that are happening in Perfect 10, but I'm going to list one or two things, or maybe five, that are happening this week in District 10. First, tonight is the Upper Downtown Neighborhood Association annual meeting. So if you live in Upper Downtown, as in... The Central Business District Statistical Neighborhood Annual Meeting is at Maggiano starting at 4.30 through 7.30 today. Also, tomorrow, Wednesday, will be Canada Day, and the Canadian Council... Canadian... not embassy, consulate, there we go, is holding a Canada Day reception at National Western tomorrow starting at 6, so that's actually a fine district. And then also, I want to thank all those who are helping the 250-150 commission. There is a commission sponsor event on Thursday at History Colorado for those who have been working tirelessly to help The United States celebrate the 250th anniversary of America and we're the centennial state for us to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the state of Colorado. There is a global minded conference that is happening. I'll be one of the panelists on Friday afternoon. And finally, 2026 Pride in the City will be on Saturday from 12 to 2 at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. I will be speaking, I think, Councilmember Watson and Councilmember Lewis will also be speaking, as will the mayor. So just a couple things happening this week in District 10 and National History Week.

Others? Yes. Madam President Pro Tem. Thank you. I thank you for the acknowledgement for the wheelchair. I too just wanted to say thank you to all the volunteers. We had a tremendous team that came out and helped prepare for the event. We've been meeting for a long period of time and a great team. My staff, Macy, Kathy, Erica, We have two interns, Kenzie and Lievelle, who were also there and just really did a tremendous job of pulling the entire event together. Denver Golf. I wanted to give them a shout out as well. They've been meeting with us and really lent their hand and expertise in the entire tournament. So just appreciate you all. Thank you. Councilman Hines.

Thank you, Mayor. I forgot something in my list on Sunday. The SGI USA, the Buddhist Center at 14th and Speer will be celebrating the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. So June 14th, 11 to 3 at 1450 Speer. It will not only be the annual Cherry Blossom celebration, but it'll also be the 30th anniversary of the Saiku Akeda's visit to the city of Denver.

Great. Any other announcements? I do have one additional announcement, which, Councilman, you may know about, too. But for many sports fans in the world, the World Cup starts this week. People are very excited about it. Mexico-South Africa is our first game on Thursday. And we have multiple places all around the city where you can come to watch parties to be able to watch your favorite teams. One of them will be in downtown at Skyline Park where we have a soccer event. A small futsal soccer field there. Also we'll have open bar, restaurant where people can come watch the game on a giant screen TV. There'll be games in McGregor Square around that location. So you can come to the city website. We can share information on places, but there are dozens of places you can come to gather with neighbors and cheer on your favorite squad. And so look forward to you celebrating the World Cup all across the streets of Denver. Any other announcements? Okay, great. Well, with that, I will now entertain a motion to move us into an executive session pursuant to DRMC 234A, 3, 6, and 7 to discuss the purpose of pending litigation and legal advice against the city.
