Lily got her driver's license yesterday. Getting her driver's license on Friday because we arrived at the REP Taylor building for our appointment at 2 p.m. on Friday. And I said, great, grab your paperwork and let's go in. And she said, she left her paperwork at home.

Good morning. Welcome to Mayor Council. Thank you so much for joining us and for being here. Welcome to members of the public. We have a wonderful gathering of council members here to introduce themselves. The most distinguished gentleman to my right. Can you start us off?

Thank you all so much for joining. We do have time for some announcements this morning. We don't have a general session scheduled this morning. We do have an executive session, so it'll be a bit shorter of a meeting than normal, but I'm sure there may be some announcements folks want to share with fellow members or the listening public. Any announcements from council members this morning?

Thank you, and good morning. This Friday, June 5th, is the Wellshire 100 celebration. And it's—the Wellshire is a golf course that has been around and designed by this golf course designer named Donald Ross. He is the—this is the only public golf course west of the Mississippi. And we are doing a celebration, so not only for Southeast Denver, but I think for the This is a big deal that we have a treasure in our community and we are going to celebrate it with a golf tournament in the morning and a community celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. at the well share. So if you're interested, please come by. We'd love to see you. You can walk around the well share in and thank you to the council members that are going to join us in the morning.

Thank you, Mr. Mayor. I was remiss last night not to announce June is Pride Month. So come out, be happy, be loud, be proud, be gay. Well, at least I will.

It all means to be.

It's not a requirement. It is such an important opportunity. Now and always to make sure that folks in our communities feel safe, welcomed, and loved in the communities that they choose to live and be in. And Pride Month is all about that, all inclusive. So come and walk with Watson for Denver. You can go to Daryl at, gosh, what's my email? at denver.gov.org to sign up to walk with our team. And then also Juneteenth parade is on the 20th of June. So you can also come out and walk with our team. It starts at Manuel High School, the Mighty Thunderbolts. You can come and walk with our team and meet with folks throughout the community. So two great events, one great month, and happy Pride, everyone.

I just want to say thank you for your statement in support of Councilman Parity. It's a big announcement for us on Council, and I appreciated you making a statement as well. So thank you for that.

Yeah, I know it was an emotional night last night. Thank you all for your incredible support and outreach. I do everything we can to support her in the transition and incredibly grateful for her service to the city. So I know it's not an easy decision or one that she took lightly. But thank you all for all the ways in which you've rallied around her in what I know are not easy times. Any other announcements that folks want to share? Okay. Well, thank you all so much for joining us. I will now entertain a motion to move us into an executive session pursuant to DRMC 234A, sections 3, 6, and 7, for the purpose of receiving legal advice, discussing the potential settlement of pending litigation against the city.
