The Historic Preservation Board approved a variance for 53 Palm Square to allow the property to maintain its existing finished floor elevation despite FEMA regulations, and also approved five applications for the Magnolia Place project, which involved variances and waivers for the installation of artificial turf and reduced open space requirements. The board also received legal training on public records, Sunshine Law, ethics, and voting conflicts.
