On the layout that's shown here, is this kind of a temporary or flexible layout? How is that determined?

So we had some meetings with MDOT. Ran a couple of ideas across them. They gave us some indications of what they needed to get this full access intersection, and that is what you see here. I will say that once we get into meetings with MDOT, this could change. and the council is aware of those changes. This is specifically what they requested. That's what I came up to say. In the meetings we have with them, this is literally what they're recommending. For us to get the permit, we don't want to deviate from this no i think once we get into more design and maybe some of the approvals that have come later for the building and the use of that backlog it could shorten up some but there is this is phase one of a larger plan for these parcels that were dedicated by dr horton to the county this is basically behind that what plan for there and what what we need that for would influence how far back then that's why I'm questioning how fixed this happened so our initial plan was to get enough acreage there for a firehouse and a police department or public safety building so the front half of that And then if I may, bring the permit once we get up in here we can we can change it we can do whatever we want would you agree yeah and i think one of the things that also bring up is we have to run water and sewer back here so we're going to do that within the right of the road and that gives us a better it gives us the most use um not to hit the weeds too much when these two blocks whatever happens then when we put water and sewer in this project we're going to ask for a cost recovery in so we'll recover some of the money but this right now is just the rail design we will put design in the utilities for water and sewer the stormwater will be developed in the last development but to answer your question this location is the best and we always go back to end up because we need to push that far enough back off the road so they're stacking we need to keep that push back but also mackey road They had a requirement of how far off of 36 they wanted access off of Mackey Road. So this road, at some point, can go to the south. It can go to the north and follow the tree line and tie into Mackey so that there's another way in and out. If there was a public safety or fire department, there's two access points. But this is really for a full access at this intersection. We just drew the drawing on there because these are just we could put through two legos up there with sort of the same purpose yeah you just want to make sure we meet uh setbacks and requirements from the planning perspective thank you and then on this if you just do decide to vote for these uh please again provide your signature i can sign them if you all want or any further questions i would entertain next up the power of investment property so with the drawings that are in the packet it kind of displays the path to get to growers this is being coded to promote commercial development the RDC has voted to approve paying to certain dollars since rac had agreed to pay for this should this be going to them for approval we still have to pay for the design they're going to pay for the structure and for completion of the roadway we have to pay for the design yeah one of the meetings that we were at i

Down on the first paragraph on the first page, I recommend that there's a reference to all NDOT permitting. Why would NDOT even be involved here? Because it doesn't touch the state code.

Well, it doesn't touch it, but they want to know what's coming in and out of that entrance. and they wanted to know where we got the road cut permit for Starbucks. We said, we didn't get a road cut permit for Starbucks. The business was already there. It was a Burger King and they proceeded to let us know that Starbucks brings in a lot more clients than Burger King does and we should actually apply for a permit. And so that's how they got involved and so that's why we want to make sure that we're doing everything right. At the end of the day, right, wrong or indifferent, we're trying to make it not happy so that

Have they agreed to this design and they're going to tile it over?

We are dedicating the roadway. It will be our specifications. We will maintain it. It will be no different than Gill Drive or Bostick Street or whatever. Once they plant these lots, that will be planted as public land, which solves that problem.

in general yes they have we have to have construction drawings complete drawings to show them but we have had a meeting with them they do agree that this is okay basically it's their drawing right and it's the reason we're here is to get the design so we can present it to them and say what do you think of this so yeah proven by drawing on a cocktail. Well, there's also a part that we have to have

this out based upon their conceptual drawings. Again, it's not gonna be 90 degree angles, but we gotta look at terms.

Just the sheer convenience and understanding and trying to help keep the flow off as much as we can. There's a lot of people that hit both of these spots, you know, simultaneously. So I would love to see this one happen.

We've had a lot of meetings with them and everybody's reasonable because we are going to be taking parking spots from the parking lot but that's a different phase then we will not be held hostage by it we we have a backup if we need to any questions motion make a motion for agreement signed for Yeah, so most of you are probably aware, there is a developer that's interested in developing some lots. There's a requirement distance that we're having troubles meeting from end up, but we do have a corporate agreement with them, and with that, in Crawfordsville, we're gonna maximize the length from 200 east to the entrance to that right in and right out. We think we have a good number. This design will be working back sure that when we submit these, they get approved. This is just for a write-in and write-out. Question?

These are his specs. They came from Delta's engineering. We didn't redesign it. We took their design. and change the interest to make sure we can maximize the rates from 200 to the interest. If you recall correctly, the first one I submitted was this one, and NDOT didn't like it because it was too close to 200. So we are not, I mean, the first one, not this one. So we have moved it.

And this is just to get it basically through the 36,

right of way, it's our situation.

Immediately following our last meeting on July 1, where I announced a rotation of council liaisons, I was notified by Mr. Chatham that he was declining to serve as liaison for the streets department. Accordingly, I have asked Mr. Irby, and he has agreed to take that on in addition to utilities under, I guess, what we might call kind of a public works umbrella.

So as the liaison for the library, I just have exciting news that our local library, the Daneville Center Township Public Library, was picked one of 16 libraries to be part of the Met Nationwide Smithsonian World Library Initiative. So this is a big deal for our community. They wouldn't tell me exactly how many libraries didn't make it, because I feel like that would be really good for writing rates, but they will be bringing in experts for this program, and it'll be a year-long program, so there's going to be more information coming out. They might even bring artifacts out. So, yeah, so it's exciting that our libraries will... One of 16 in the nation?
