Cass County Sheriff's Office resolution 2678 accepting the fiscal year 2025 emergency management performance grants recipient award. Need a motion. So moved. Second. So I talked to Justin. This is a $25,000 grant that we receive every year at the county. If the county matches the other 25%, which we will, that's $50,000 that goes in towards the emergency preparedness, bringing any type of tornado, fire, or whatever, that happens in the county so he is prepared throughout the county and works with other jurisdictions districts so that money is used towards preparing the county for a disaster that might happen he did a great job any further discussion all in favor three votes for zero against resolution 2678 passes cast county commission resolution 2679 appointing members of the cast county planning board they need a motion So move. I will tell you, Lynn Stark has been on the committee for 2010 or 2001. RJ just got on it a couple years ago, and this other gentleman just got on it a couple years ago, so it's nice to have a little longevity Um, way things have been done that way, but all three members are excellent members of the community and they represent our board very well. Sheriff's office resolution 2680 approving the agreement with HMN Architects Incorporated for the architecture of services. for the Cascade ICAC addition project. I need a motion. So moved. Second. Do we have any discussion, Mr. Teagan? No. This is just the next phase of that. They came in and did the initial cost projections and all that. So this is the point that we actually do have an architectural part of that. So they'll do the architectural parts so that we'll have it ready come January 1st when we receive the grant from the federal government for the $1.2 million that the county will match $1.2 million. $1.6 million. $1.6 million, that's right. It went pretty smooth. Had a really good turnout.

Which is good for a cycle election. It's sad that 30% is good.

Road and bridge department, resolution 2683, setting the 2026 special road and bridge property tax rate to zero. Any in motion? So moved. Second. So this will set and basically do away with the county road and bridge levy that's levied on properties throughout the county. That will go to zero. In place of that, the course in sales tax that was on the August election passed and that will take effect. I think we turned into the state come January 1st and we'll start receiving some of the tax monies in March if I believe. And that will cover the difference between that. It will bring in a little extra money on that. The cities will be held harmless on this because they used to get a collection from the levies. The sales tax will cover that shortfall that they lose from the levies. So I think I said all that. I think you got it. Yes. Any other discussion? All in favor? is the annual tax sale we'll be having it on the second floor this year not in the lawn it will be in the restored courtroom just beneath us we're going to start about 9 45 with announcements and then at 10 sharp we will call the sale i'm pleased to report we're down to 41 properties that's good i want to try good yeah that's a good we've got several second and third offerings so there will be about eight properties but if we could get it down to eight that would be great We're still making efforts to reach folks who've been in contact with several taxpayers that have not paid yet, but are working with your attorneys with a probate issue, or there's an issue with a real estate agent trying to get the property sold, been a death in the family. It's often what we run into. So hopefully we'll have that number down to maybe 32 by Monday morning, and the sale is open to the public.
