Cass County Commission - Regular Meeting

Okay, we'll go ahead and call the July 30th, 2026 Commission work session meeting to order. Roll call, please.

Here. Here. Indivisible with liberty and justice for all. I need a motion to accept the agenda as presented. So moved. I'll second that. All in favor? Two votes for, zero against. Cass County Sheriff's Office resolution 2674 approving the intergovernmental agreement with the United States Marshals Service for housing and care of federal prisoners. We need a motion. So moved. I'll second that one. Someone from the Sheriff's Office would like to speak about it?

This is just an updated contract that renewed our rates from $75 a day to $97 and some change.

It's the same contract that we approved three years ago? No changes or anything? No. larger per diem per prisoner correct because costs go up housing the inmates okay are we expected to add any more people uh not at this time at this time i didn't think so we have above what we budget for so cool okay any other discussion any more questions thank you all in favor of resolution 2674 two votes for zero against resolution 2674 passes at this time we'll open the public comment portion If there's anyone like to speak for against seeing that we're gonna close the public comment portion of commissioner communications.
