A discussion should be made as to whether Burlington Housing Authority still holds an interest in this facility. In reading some documents it appears that at one point twenty percent of the units that were built should have been designated as affordable units and approximately thirteen of those units should be filled with a waiting list managed by the Burlington Housing Authority.
Burlington Summit (Adams Street Multi-Use Path)
Scott Weiss (Vice President of Development for the Gutierrez Company) has reached out to BHA with a request to come speak at our March 11, 2026 Board Meeting to talk about the zone overlay that currently is before the town seeking a zoning overlay that would allow the Gutierrez Company to add housing on their land on Summit Drive. In conjunction with their efforts, town officials are looking to create and expand bike path options and connectivity. The town requested that Gutierrez include a bike/multi-use path across their site. Gutierrez is also looking at options to continue on Summit Drive and potentially cross I-95 (Route 128) to continue north. The planners have also requested that they look into continuing the path south, potentially across the Housing Authority land, to reach Adams and North Street, and ultimately connect with the Vine Brook path that currently terminates at North Street in Lexington. The Gutierrez Company is requesting that BHA consider granting an easement to allow for the location and construction of a multi-use path across Adams Street Parcel.
