City Council - Special Meeting

Hi Burbank! Mayor Tamela Takahashi here. On May 20th at 3pm, we are holding a special City Council meeting in City Hall regarding the Metro Bus Rapid Transit Project, or BRT, and Senate Bill 79. If you are planning to attend in person, please keep in mind these helpful reminders. The Council Chamber will open at 2.15pm and the meeting will begin at 3pm. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage guests to plan ahead. For accessibility, an ADA accessible elevator is available at the rear entrance of City Hall, and all other guests will be asked to enter from 3rd Street. There will be only one public comment period, and if you would like to participate, comments may be made in person or by telephone by calling 818-238-3335 near the beginning of the meeting. Speaker time limits may vary depending on the number of participants to ensure everyone has an opportunity to be heard. Up to 20 speakers will have three minutes each, 21 to 39 speakers will have two minutes each, and 40 speakers or more will each receive one minute to speak on the agenda item.
