Here. Okay, thank you. We'll move into hearing of citizens' comments. So if you have any comments, you will move to the podium. If you'll write your name down on the podium. Is it name and address or just name and address? name and phone number. So just to kind of reaffirm to people, citizens' comments are basically, you're limited to five minutes. The presentation's kind of a one-way discussion, so even though the council will be listening to you, they won't be asking you questions. And basically, it may come up, what you've talked about may come up when miscellaneous of this meeting, or if you're not satisfied with Feeling heard, you should always feel free to contact your council person and kind of reaffirm your comment so that everybody moves forward properly. But it will be kind of a one-way conversation because lots of times people are waiting for the council to ask them questions, and it's not going to happen just because we want to give you your full five minutes. Okay?

So, Mr. Watts. Okay. Mike Watts, for those of you that may not know me. Several months ago, I was in here and updated you on a time capsule the class of 1976 is putting on. I happen to be the chairperson for that, and I wanted to give you an update. We've pretty much got everything lined out. We've got an urn that was donated by May and Sons, a plaque that's being prepared right now by the Kevin McClary out at the Monument Place. Got quite a few donations already. I have room for many more. Don't have anything from the city yet. We have a site picked down here at the courthouse. The steps from the street, as soon as you get to the top of the steps, that right-hand corner is where it's going to be buried. uh... i think everything's ago and i know it's on county property but this does involve the city of booneville uh... like to have any and all of you that would like to attend it's going to be saturday heritage day saturday the twenty seventh we're gonna do it approximately twelve noon should be plenty of time after the parade welcome you there if you've got some things you wanna put in it uh... Mike's got a copy of the form with four of our different phone numbers on it. And Drew and Barry know how to get a hold of me. So that's going well. Now, I wanted to add one more thing here, too. As most of you know, I'm president of the Summer Boys Baseball Program. I know you've been involved with the new complex out there, and I'm getting questioned a lot about whether we're going to be moving all our games out there. Absolutely not. I wanted to let the city know that we're a city league, and we're going to utilize Harley Park every night possible out there. Facilities like Ballpark Central, and we use the high school turf field. Those are back up. only back up if we don't have enough room anywhere else. So as long as I'm involved, Harley Park will have games. They're a wonderful addition, and with all the rain and the make-up games, they have saved me. But we're going to play at Harley Park. And the park crew out there, Alec Adair is doing a wonderful job. I know you don't hear that enough, but...

I guess technically my first name is Mike, but I go by Chad, so I'll say my name is Chad Abernathy. And I'll write down my phone number. And so I am a new resident here in Booneville, and I live at 1227 Maple Street. Barry and Cy have been so kind to bring up the drainage issue, and I am the problem child. I have inherited a problem as we purchased this new house, new to us. And I just wanted to let you guys know that we realize that there's some drainage issues around the house itself, particularly around the garage that we're going to be looking into working on ourselves. But I must give an example of kind of the drainage issue that happened on Saturday when it rained so hard so quickly. We had a lot of grass come down from further up the street, and it plugged up my drainage from the garage. And so my garage did flood a little bit. Still drying out today, just to kind of show you, just to. Example of the problem. Not saying that we should fix it for my reasons. I've seen as I walk up and down the street erosion from different people's yards and stuff. So I'm not the only one that's got this problem. But I just wanted to kind of share that story with you tonight and I'll be in touch. So feel free to contact me. Barry and Si's got my number. You guys got my number here. Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Boonville as follows. Section 1, for the purpose of paying salaries and various accounts against the City of Boonville, which have been allowed by the Council at the regular meeting thereof on 6-1-2026, the sum of $520,257.82. General Fund, $133,068.99. Sanitation, $5,045.78. CIP tax, $28,793.76. Waterworks, $113,945.59. Capital projects, $0.00. Wastewater, $134,664.66. Tourism, $6,768.44. Gaming, $51,950.72. Parks and Water, $4,855.38. And Kemper Sales Tax, $31,164.50. Section 2, the accountant is hereby authorized and instructed to draw checks on the respective Citibank accounts in favor of the persons whose salaries and accounts have been allowed as above amounting to $520,257.82. being the total amount of money above appropriated. Section 3, this ordinance shall take effect and be enforced from and after its passage, first reading 6-1-2026, read for the second time this 6-1-2026, since a copy was made available prior to the meeting.

Seeing none, we move on to new business. A, consider resolution R2026-014, authorizing and approving an agreement with Moonville R1 School District for school resource officer program.

A resolution of the City of Boonville, Missouri authorizing and approving an intergovernmental agreement between the City of Boonville, Missouri and the Boonville R1 School District to provide school resource officers in Boonville R1 schools and providing an effective date therefore. Whereas the Boonville R1 School District desires to continue the school resource officer program to provide a safe environment for students, staff, and citizens who interact with the district. And whereas the City of Boonville wants to provide a school resource officer program for the district. and whereas the Boomville Police Department is uniquely suited to provide school resource officers in the Boomville R1 District Schools that can enhance the safety and security at the schools. Now therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Boomville, Missouri as follows. Section 1 that the City Council of the City of Boomville, Missouri shall approve and authorize an intergovernmental agreement with the Boomville R1 School District for a police service agreement is set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto, and made a part hereof as fully as it set forth herein verbatim. Section 2, that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and attest, set a contract on behalf of the City of Boonville. Section 3, this resolution shall take effect and be in full force from it after its passage and approval, passed the first day of June, 2026, by the City Council of Boonville, Missouri.

We're not... Mayor, we're not approving additional resource officers. This is the same. The only question I had was on the committee. I was reading through this this weekend. I'm just wondering, we have a police board, but it says that we have to have a police committee.

It's just an informal committee. It's primarily the school superintendent, Randy, myself, and one or both of the principals. That's it. It's a mixed group, and so it's really just a means to meet if there's something that either we're not addressing or we're doing really well or whatever, just some conversation that's kind of percolated through that group.

And it's the same resources to officers? Yeah. Two schools each, and we get partial payment back on it.

Yeah, we get reimbursed 76%.

Just an update from the last meeting. If you remember, we did the resolution for the lead service line inventory. We did get that grant application submitted, but I actually have no idea when we'll hear. But it is submitted, and we got a receipt that it's been there.
