I'd like to call tonight's meeting of the Municipal Services Committee to order. It is a special meeting at 630 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15th. Please rise and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. Roll call of membership. Let the record show that all members of this committee are present. One of them is not on the screen for those of you following along at home. Item number 26-0938 are the minutes from the previous meeting. Do I have a motion to approve?
Move to approve.
Second. Motion and a second. Are there any questions, concerns, additions? There being none, all those in favor, please signify by saying aye. Aye. That passes 5-0. We have no public hearings or appearances, so we'll move right into our action items. The first item is 26-0939. Request to award Unit Q26, Pavement Marking Maintenance Contract, Paint, to Crowley Construction Corp. in an amount not to exceed $43,026.73. Do I have a motion? Move to approve. We have a motion. Second. And a second. Director Youngworth, what do you got for us?
So this is a routine painting contract. This is the non-epoxy painting. So these would be intended to be more of the temporary type of pavement markings. And also as a part of this contract, there will be some striping that is going on in the parking ramps.
Thank you. I do have one question in that regard. We, I assume, then are going to be charging the parking utility for that portion of the contract? Correct. Excellent.
Any other questions from any committee members?
All right. There being none, all those in favor, please signify by saying aye. Aye. Opposed? Abstentions?
That passes 5-0.
We'll move then on to the second item, 26-0940. Request to approve a long-term occupancy permit for tables and chairs to Il Bar at 324 East College Avenue, Amenity Strip, through June 30, 2027. Do I have a motion?
Move to approve.
Second. Motion and a second.
Director Youngworth, do you have anything there? I have nothing to add unless there's any questions. All right.
Any questions from anybody on the committee? All right. There being none, all those in favor, please signify by saying aye. Aye. Opposed? And that passes 5-0. We have one informational item. It is 26-0941, the Municipal Services Building Office Hours Adjustment.
Director Youngworth. Thank you. So we have been looking at this for some time. And we were, with the RingCentral migration, actually able to obtain our phone data to at least paint the picture of what kind of appropriate time frame are we looking at for open hours out at MSB. we did find that there, it was peaking right at that eight o'clock hour. And in fact, we were getting emails prior to the eight o'clock hour to the administrative staff that we were having to field. So really this is to align better with our field office staff, contractors, construction projects. Um, so we're really just purely trying to shift that start time a bit earlier. which would subsequently do our end time a bit earlier as well. So we have been posting this on social media. We do have a note on our public works webpage as a notice that this is intended to occur. And the start would be next week.
Thank you. Are there questions or concerns or anything from committee?
And to clarify, and I want to be clear, the city hall engineering parking office hours will remain the same. This is purely for the municipal services building.
Excellent. It looks as though, I mean, it looks like we gain an actual half hour of public-facing service hours because we are starting a half hour earlier. Wait, do we gain it or do we lose it? At the end, lose. Ah, yes. This obviously does not change the number of hours that our staff are putting in. Correct.
Okay.
Correct. All right. Well, thank you for that information. If there aren't any other questions, we can move on to item number eight.
Move to adjourn. Motion to adjourn. Second.
And a second. All those in favor? Aye. Aye. We are adjourned. Thank you.
