Approval of Minutes: January 20-Regular
Adopt Resolution for Ownership of a Portion of North Main Street from NCDOT
WHEREAS, NCDOT completed mill and overlay of North Main Street in 2025; and WHEREAS, the Town of Wingate officially requests to add the section beginning at the intersection of North Main and West Wilson Streets and ending at the intersection of North Main/Austin Chaney Rd and McIntyre Road to the Town’s Street System for improvement and maintenance purposes; and WHEREAS, the Town’s request is in accordance with Chapter 136, Article 3A of the North Carolina General Statutes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE WINGATE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE TOWN OF WINGATE, NORTH CAROLINA: 1. Town of Wingate hereby requests release and exchange of the following street from the North Carolina Department of Transportation for inclusion into the Town of Wingate as follows: | Street Name | Type | NCDOT Number | Length | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | North Main Street (from N. Main/W. Wilson intersection to the intersection of N. Budget Amendment
WHEREAS, on June 17th, 2025, the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Wingate adopted a Budget Ordinance for the fiscal year July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Wingate desires to amend said Budget Ordinance NOW, THEREFORE, the following Budget Amendments are ordained by the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Wingate: | REVENUES | ORIGINAL | CHANGE | AMENDED | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Water Sales | $1,102,210 | $120,000 | $1,222,210 | | EXPENDITURES | | | | | Water M&R | $55,000 | $120,000 | $175,000 | Adopted this on the 17th day of February 2026.
