We identified 10, which the bracket and what gave us a discount, but we can add more to it if we need to.

And then another new business item three is resolution 2026-7-6-1. for us getting into agreement with the state of Alabama for resurfacing and sidewalk improvements along West Taliesin Street from State Route 14, Coosa River Parkway, to North Ridge Street. So that's an ongoing project. Mr. Payton, that's an ongoing project with us now.

Yes, sir. With MPO, it's that 80% to our 20% that we're putting in on the project. Our part will be $243,000, some change. That got lit just a few days ago, and they will be looking in the next couple of weeks, you know, to move all of this real quick. Tallahassee Street is one of our connected streets. That's why it can be used in New Mexico.

The reason we can get funding for the project like this is it being a connected street. it connects us from a state road a state route through the city to another state route so that's that's the only way you can chase mpo money and get it if you have a situation like that and we have that like if you're coming down uh off of the bypass all of our streets that run the government street was the one that connects from Osceola I believe Osceola is the only other connector Osceola is the only other connector I believe I consider that connector all right i used to know all that stuff when i dealt with it i believe it changed there a few years back i think they changed with one's work in that group so it may happen these are these are all projects that come through the mpo metropolitan planning organization um I have said that a number of years I've been serving as the vice chair of that committee. And what that means is we're sitting closer to the bucket that's got the money in it, and we get to look over and see what's in the bucket. And sometimes it helps us bring a project here to move a project along a little faster. So I couldn't even spell MPO when I first got that appointment. But it's a tough organization to deal with. It carries all of the elected people from Montgomery County, Montgomery City Government, Otago County, Otago City Government, Millbrook, the Elmore County City, the Elmore County Government. and city of Winnipeg. That makes up the MPO. And there are 13 of those throughout the state of Alabama that federal money is pondered into to be distributed out. And for many, many years, we got nothing until we had a commissioner one time that was serving on this and realized that Montana's not getting their share. of money for this. So that's when we started addressing this and have to fight pretty hard to get your projects out here to them. That's just a little clarification of what NPO is. Okay, that is our agenda for this evening and we will Call the meeting on council meeting to order. You received in your packets a copy of the minutes from the council meeting held on June 15th of 2026. Are there any corrections to those minutes? If not, we'll entertain the motion. for truth. On the whole business this evening, approved change order number one for downtown parking and restaurant facilities approved for private. Do you want to tell us about that? Yes, sir.

There's going to be a couple of change orders on that project. It's the five restaurants that go in the parking lot. Going into the project, we wasn't real sure how much contingency to put in place. We had none to put into this project. We ran into a few little issues down here in the parking lot. A lot of things on the ground came kind of rejected for downtown.

So this is just a couple of change orders fixing some

sewer laterals and things that are located down there. How is this project progressing?

It's going well.

They've worked on all five sites. Got most of the water and your lateral sewer hooked up. We'll be getting some plans for the restrooms here soon. Going through them, making our changes and that order should come in I guess 120 days generally. Something like that. Let's move it along.

Just for the public's information, how many restrooms are we building along with the parking lot? Around the Haynes property over there. That parking lot.

There's a set of restrooms going there, yes.

Okay, one going there, another one going where?

We have one that's going to be where the girls' batting cage is going, near the arena. Yes. We have one going a little larger than the others. It's going near the tennis courts. And then we have one over there in the local park. We have one going there, and then we have one in Meadowbrook. That's right in front of the dog park.

With the pickleball courts over there? Yes, sir.
