City Council - Regular Meeting

OK. We're going to go ahead and get started.

Get out of the work session.

Appreciate everyone being here tonight.

so we'll go through our agenda items for this evening that will be in the council meeting um only two from the new business approved change only number one for downtown parking and restroom facilities improvements project. Ashley, you add anything to that? No, sir.

Just on the project, we don't have any contingency national exchange orders. I'll have to bring the council as they come along. And I've asked them to do three out of nine of those and get them. And this is the beginning of it, getting the board lines and things in the ground.

So we ran into a few issues we had with this. OK. All right. We've got nine out of two this evening. Approve memorandum of understanding for scheduling software for the sports complex. This is Richard. Do you want to speak to that?

So that the software allows us to better schedule our facilities inside the city. It also incorporates across Elmore County all the facilities, Board of Education, 17 schools. allows the visibility to be exposed across the county, it doesn't change who owns the scheduling. We still have full control of scheduling our facilities.

There's no way that this doesn't mean anybody takes over our operation. They can look and see what we have coming and use of our facilities. we can also look and see what's going on throughout the county. So I think it's a good thing. It should work well for them.

And question, does that mean we're going to do away with what we have and look into the same thing the county's got?

So it will replace our scheduling software that we currently utilize, Redbox. It does not replace our phone and cell system that we utilize anymore. It handles two of the three aspects of what we have to do to life.

Well, I was thinking one time when we were going to bed, something looked into our city, you know, web page.

So, of course, now that's totally different. That at one point was an option, is to connect with Civic Rec, which is a product from Civic Watts, but that, this will be instead of that.

Yeah, and it's much cheaper price.

Those are our agenda items this evening, so we will go back and call to order the council meeting and the invitation this evening to be given by Councilperson Brown. Is it pleased by Councilperson Tucker?

Father, we thank you for the brain and so many people needed, especially the farmers. Father, we thank you for our city. We thank you for our leaders, for those who work diligently day after day to bring businesses to this city, to make things run smoothly and move this city forward. Father, we thank you for each employee, for all the department heads. Father, we ask you to bless them and give them wisdom. Father, tonight as we go through and we're delivering over these two issues, Father, we always ask you to guide us and lead us and direct us in the way that you would have us to go. These things we ask in your precious name. Amen.
