This is the second time on the agenda, so we can take action on that. Item two under old business, approve repairs for f fire apparatus engine 101 and 102 to address diesel exhaust issues at a cost of $8,000. Also, the second time on the agenda, we can take action. And then the third item under business approved free removal from the Kentucky Municipal Airport at a cost of $11,500. also the second time on the agenda and we can take action on that on the new business. Um item four approved spillage easement with HSC we LLC in Rivertown John which one is that

supply and spillage does it go back into that retention p It does go. Everything goes. It's just a Who is this ement being required? Uh, we own the land though. It's We already had a storm water ement in place. And what this is is Tractor Supply lawyers has seen that even though that storm water eastment's in place, but if I'm wrong, this is just that dumping into our pond. So, they're wanting a spillage eastment. It's not anything that we have done. It's just kind of cleared it up. Put it on paper.

And information that I gathered on this is keeping the mileage low enough to cycle these vehicles and keep turning them over that they're not worn out when we get rid of them. Correct. Okay, we have a motion on the second. Any discussion on this? I see remember years ago when the fire station across the street we had exhaust issues with the building and now this is like the exhaust with the engines. Is there what's the difference?

Well, it's it's redundancy that cost a lot of money but probably doesn't accomplish much. That was the NFPA required us to capture the exhaust on the trucks and that's the system we bought 10 15 years ago. Now they require not only that but also a system on the truck that cleans up the exhaust before it ever emits it. Um and that creates a lot of expense and a lot of other issues with the engine. So, we're getting some relief to where we don't have to have all the extras. And so, that's what this is. It'll and and John a lot more familiar with this than me on the diesel engine, but it will increase the efficiency of the truck and the life of the engine. So, money well spent.

So, this is on the apparatus, not on the building. That's correct. It's on two apparatus. Anything else like in public works is decent that we have to be concerned with that.

Yeah. The main problem with the fire department is that diesel will go into what's called limp mode. Emergency vehicle. That's never a good thing. keeps it low miles hour. This will taking this that feature off so we won't ever have to deal with this like on
