Alright. We can hear you too. I'm gonna go ahead and call this meeting to order for the Valdez Planning and Zoning Commission, Wednesday, June 25. Let the record show that all commissioners are present with the exception of commissioners Metropa and Wade. We have, I guess, one public member. We'll have a Seven public. If anyone's here to address us on a nonagended item, please step forward, state your name for the record.

0:29 – 1:021

Yeah. Just formally, you you all know me. I know you. I'm Nate Duvall. I just wanted to formally say hello as the city manager, express appreciation for your service to the to the community. Planning and zoning commission is a is a key part of what gets development done around town. And, I think your level headed approach to the code and interpreting and solving problems is refreshing perspective. So, again, thank you. But also just by way of introduction, I'm I'm here. I'm around and, here to help.

1:022

Thank you. Thank you. Congratulations.

1:07 – 1:220

New business. Item number one is approval of temporary land use permit 25Dash08 for Central Environmental Inc for a two acre portion of USS 439 in the pipe yard owned by the city of Valdez for a six month term.

1:232

Move to approve. I'll second.

1:250

It's been moved by commissioner Molten, seconded by commissioner Goodreau. Any discussion on this one?

1:33 – 1:442

I just wanna clarify. I'm thinking it's where they wanna move into the area where Bill Harris built his boat and had a lay down yard. Is that correct?

1:450

That's what it looked like to me. Okay.

1:483

Nicole Chase, that is correct.

1:492

Alright. Thank you.

1:540

Any questions on that or comments?

1:584

Is that where I have the map in front of me, but it's smaller. Is that where, like, the old, harbor walkways and stuff are stored right now?

2:080

Yeah. Where where Bill had his his ramp. Where he watched his barge and all that or loads his barge. It's right behind that.

2:224

I'm on the opposition of the largest. I go down with my dog a lot, I was wondering if it's right at pull off there. It's a it's this is another map I'm missing, the small map.

2:320

Oh. I can't

2:324

see, like, all the way down there.

2:352

So right on the corner of, those two streets, Alaska and

2:403

McKinley and Alaska. Yeah.

2:424

Well, I I see I see that in that.

2:442

But as if you're looking out into the water Right. On your left hand side.

2:494

Right.

2:504

But is this currently, are there Old Harbor, lockdown? You know, they I

2:561

haven't been out there yet, but they did stage some there for a period of time before they went to the landfill, But most of that,

3:014

I believe, is Maybe it's gotten out, but that's where they were. So it's that property there.

3:041

Okay. There were some material stored for the sewer force main project, but those have all been used up and stuff.

3:114

South of the main pipe guard where the Yeah. Snow machine races so far? Yeah.

3:141

That'd the the south end along McKinley.

3:164

Yeah. So it's a spot currently used for lay down and storage and whatnot. Correct.

3:212

Thank you.

3:240

And just to be sure, we don't have any encumbrances on this property with mister Harris. Any leftover leases or temporary land uses?

3:33 – 3:453

No. The Valley Snow Machine Club does have a lease for the pipe yard for snow machine events, but they have a nonexclusive use. So, temporary uses such as this can be accommodated within the terms of their lease.

3:45 – 3:570

Okay. Great. Any other comments? Go online with project manager. If you wanna address us, you can, but you certainly don't have to.

4:000

Alright. Go ahead and call the roll, and we'll vote.

4:053

Alright. All in favor, please say aye.

4:300

Basically, the same thing we've had.

4:333

It is. Exactly the same thing. Alright.

4:380

Then we'll go to commission business from the floor. This will be a short one. Start down there with commissioner.

4:444

Oh, you think it's gonna be short? I got a whole

4:460

list. Okay.

4:484

No. I'm great. Thank you.

4:490

Alright. Commissioner Ratatich?

4:523

Yeah. I don't have anything business wise. Thanks, Nate, for coming and coming to the planning center. Appreciate it.

5:010

Commissioner Davis?

5:023

I have nothing. Thank you.

5:04 – 5:172

Commissioner Goodreau? I don't have anything either. I was I had my answers. I had some answers with Nicole. I answered them at work. Alright. And, Nate, congratulations. Thank you.

5:180

Thank you. And with that, we will adjourn.
