Yes. Item A, consider resolution 2025-144 approving the purchase of real property at 2 Union Avenue or Vana, Iowa. Okay, so I think I pretty much shared everything and we also had a close session regarding this property. Um the city did come to a an agreement and we do have a memo of understanding signed by the mayor, Cedar Valley Bank and Trust as well as the property owners. Um so with that um other than the resolution uh pending council approval tonight for the resolution, we would move to close on the property on the 29th of this month. Excuse me.

The asbestous testing has to be done regardless. Correct. Yes, asbestous testing was done and the results have already come back. So, we've already got that taken care of. Um, and yeah. with the agreement we did with the bank. I think the bestest test was 800 or 850.

850. Initially, we were going to just assess that to the property owners. Um, after some legal advice, we've found that it would be best if since there was no findings of asbestous that the city just go ahead and take ownership of the property and that can be a an agreement probably between the fire department and the city and how we'll move forward with that. Um and then otherwise for that there has to be a whole insurance process with the property owner and as long as there's no asbestous we can move forward with the city owning the property. Um in the future I would encourage since there was discussion in close session regarding this and both members did agree that they were in agreement to purchase the property. Um I would highly encourage the council members to ask questions and um come in. You could have participated in the meeting as well. Um, so if there was something else that you wish to discuss, I would encourage you to be involved in that. I don't know if the mayor would like to say anything with that.
