City Council - Special Meeting

All right. At this time, I will canvas the results of the special municipal election held on April 14th, 2026, except for those votes cast on provisional ballots. Copies of the unofficial reports have been provided if you would like to follow along. You guys, this is that the the report that looks like this sitting in front of you. All right. So, for that election, we had a total of 1,891 ballots cast. 1418 of those were for Richard Henry and 473 of those were for Mr. Douglas MacArthur Parish. This declares the results of the special municipal election held on April 14th, 2026, except for those votes cast on provisional ballots. Do I hear a motion? Some move.

The results of the special election held on April 14th, 2006 have been declared. Clerk. Oh, do need a motion to recess. Uh, not yet. So, at this time, I'm going to canvas the provisional ballots for the special municipal election held on April 14th. Um, we submitted one provisional ballot to the board of registars and that one ballot was accepted. So, I'm going to go ahead and open that now.

I think the legis I think the legis little over 12,000. It's pitiful. Yeah.

All right. So, this one provisional ballot is one vote for Mr. Richard Henry. Clerk, what do you need us to do next? At this time, I would like to ask for a brief recess to complete the substitute resolution by adding that provisional ballot. Do I hear a motion to been moved and second to recess? In front of you guys, you have that substitute resolution that includes the count for that one provisional for Mr. Henry.
