City Council - Regular Meeting

good evening everyone and welcome to the Troy City Council this is our regularly scheduled January meeting it is January 2nd and it is 700 p.m. please please join me with the Pledge of Allegiance I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all cler please call the role council member Keel is absent broen is absent SM McLaren present council member Vera present council member serento is absent council member Casey present council president steel present four are present three are absent thank you um under presentation of agenda this evening there are no items of legislation to be acted upon we've had several special meetings prior to this and they've all been uh considered in those special meetings so um we don't have any actual legislation I would entertain um any public comment if anyone wishes to speak on any item of Interest they are welcome to come forward at this time to share that information with the council again does anyone wish to speak to the Council on any item of any interest please come forward state your name and place of residence

please hello hello my name is Angelique Bywater I'm from csca um I live out in averal park but I will work up in leam um I wanted to thank you today uh continuing um into the new year um I just wanted to make the council aware that we are continuing to fight for a contract for CCA members um we've sent emails to request dates we met once unfortunately it's kind of been on hold we haven't received any dates for a second meeting so just um we're looking for any type of support you know our workers continue to work day in and day out and we're hoping to get a fair contract for our members but to start to get the contract we got to go sit at the table and meet so um hopefully we can get some type of movement there and um thank you for listening and for your support and thank you for the update does anyone else wish to address the Council on any topic seeing none I would entertain a motion to adjourn motion council member McLaren second second council member Vera all in favor I oos closed we're adjourned thank you very much
