Hi, my name is Matthew Cleaves and this is what's happening at city hall. Today we're in our downtown on at the first street streetscaping project where as you can see behind me work has begun. The project will rebuild First Street from Union to Laughlin, investing in one of the DAO's oldest commercial corridors. Crews are replacing deteriorated pavement walls and sidewalks, improving ADA accessibility and pedestrian safety, and adding updated streetscape features to create a more welcoming downtown. All of this work is being done with care to preserve the historic and cultural character that makes this area so special. During construction, all downtown businesses remain open, and we encourage you to continue supporting them. If you're looking for parking, there are several convenient options. the first street public lot between Washington and Federal, the newly paved sunken lot between Washington and Court, and third in Lincoln lot across from St. Peter's Cathedral. To help keep downtown accessible for everyone, city ordinance requires that street parking in the downtown core be reserved for customers. Business owners, employees, and tenants should use the public lots so these prime street spaces remain available for those customers. For more details, including maps showing road closures, traffic flow adjustments, parking options, and other future plans, visit the dows.org/dt projects. Thank you very much.
