CO-SPONSORSHIP OF THE 2026 RELAY FOR LIFE OF TEMPLE CITY

The City Council is requested to approve a request from the American Cancer Society to co-sponsor the Relay for Life of Temple City at Temple City Park on November 7,2026. Recommendation: 1. Approve a request from the American Cancer Society to co-sponsor the Relay for Life of Temple City at Temple City Park on November 7, 2026; and 2. Waive all fees and deposits associated with the installment of a promotional event street banner and use of Temple City Park, the Performing Arts Pavilion, and City Hall Community Room for event activities.

APPROVAL OF PLANS AND AUTHORIZATION TO INVITE BIDS FOR CITY HALL LOBBY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (CIP NO. P25-02)

The City Council is requested to approve the plans and authorize the invitation to invite bids for City Hall Lobby Improvement Project. Recommendation: 1. Approve plans and specifications (bid package) for City Hall Lobby Improvement Project (CIP No. P25-02); 2. Authorize staff to advertise the project for bids; 3. Authorize the City Manager the ability to award the contract for the construction of the City Hall Lobby Improvement Project; and 4. Authorize 10% of the total contract amount as contingency allowance to be used if necessary for unforeseen conditions at the City Manager's discretion, if needed.

The City Council is requested to approve a Second Amendment to the agreement for City's electronic content management software (i.e., Laserfiche) annual maintenance and related services. ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS FOR POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS AND VICIOUS DOGS

The City Council is requested to consider adoption of the proposed ordinance to revise the City's code relating to potentially dangerous and vicious dogs. Recommendation: 1. Introduce for first reading by title only and waive further reading of Ordinance No. 26-1089, amending Chapter 6 of Title 3 of the Temple City Municipal Code to revise the City's adoption by reference of Title 10 of the Los Angeles County Code relating to animal control, including Chapter 10.37, "Potentially Dangerous and Vicious Dogs," and to clarify animal control enforcement and administrative citation authority; and 2. Schedule a public hearing and second reading on July 21, 2026, to consider adoption of Ordinance No. 26-1089.
