We're recording now. I'm going to call this meeting to order. It is 5.33 p.m. and it is Wednesday, May 6th. And this is the monthly youth council meeting. And I'm going to call the roll. Chair Lucia LaCour.
Yes.
Ella Garcia absent. Council Member Jonah Epstein. Yes. Council Member Jack O'Malley. Yes. Council Member Isaac Pack. Yes. Council Member Denise DeMeltas. Yes. Chair, you have a quorum.
Thank you. Okay. So before we move on to our discussion item, and we edited the minutes from last meeting, the March 4th meeting, then anyone wants to motion to approve the minutes from last meeting?
Motion to approve the minutes from last meeting.
Second?
Second. Okay. All those in favor say aye.
Aye.
Okay, motion carries. So we don't have too many, like,
agenda items today, but I do want to spend some time especially on like the last three, but for the first one it's Sophia's item and she sent something in the group chat. She sent a document sort of outlining what this event would look like. I think we can definitely discuss it more in the June meeting when she's here and see if that would be a potential event you guys want to plan out more thoroughly in the summer to then do it next term. But essentially She wants to do it at the 96th Street Park, and she wants kids of all ages to build a miniature car mall and race them against each other. And, yeah, I guess she's, like, into, like, cars and, like, racing and stuff, and I think this could be very cool. Does anyone have anything they want to say? Or we can also just save it for next week when she's here and we can all discuss it. But I think it's cool.
I mean, if it would be during the summer, maybe it would be something, we can ask her, but maybe it would be something we could integrate into the camp. So you have a day camp, I think, Y, is it the Y, YMCA? So this could be some kind of activity we could do, like integrate within their camp, maybe the day camp program, instead of a standalone event.
Does she specify how these little cars would be built? Is it like a Lego situation?
She said no. She said you would need paper rolls, cardboard, straws, wooden skewers. It's like an engineering thing. I think it's like a little STEM type thing.
It's like miniature cars. They're like miniature cars, and I think it's to teach kids about engineering and stuff.
OK. I think that's a good idea, integrating into the summer camp. OK. So the next item is the helmet safety design sessions. And I know we just talked about it, but I know you guys are meeting again when? Is it next week?
Did we decide? I think the 27th, right? 27th. Yeah. From 5 to 7, you guys booked this coming? Yeah.
And she said it would be like less than an hour and a half this time. But, OK. So you guys.
It's on a weekday now. It's not on the weekend this time. Yeah.
So I just wanted to make sure that we have that because I know she was stressed about making sure everyone knew.
Yeah, I thought it was good. I mean, Jack, if you want to talk about it, because we're the only two people there. So if you want to tell them a little bit about it.
Yeah, it was pretty good. We have worksheets, and we fill out our slogan ideas. I know they came up with a good one for an advertising campaign. I guess she's going to put together some idea, I don't know. But I don't know. It seems like it's a little bit AI. Well, we can improve next week.
And then the next session, if you guys want to take pictures and stuff, we can use that to start building content for the Instagram next year. If you just want to take pictures, then we can just be like, throwback to when we did this. So yeah, I would just say make sure. I'm sure she's probably taking pictures. I don't know. But if not, make sure you guys are talking in there.
I thought it was good. It was good. I don't think there were any, like, there wasn't really anything that was due, like, on our end. Like, we did everything within the session. It's all, like, session-based. Like, you finish everything within the session. I mean, it's a mix of us presenting her with ideas and then she can gain the ideas from us and actually get to hear you through our experience and the issues. So, it's not like she's working in a silo and only doing things within her organization.
Cool. OK. Isaac, do you want to talk about your Campoira?
Yes. I can talk about it. So initially, the idea for the event was to be at the 96th Street Park on June 14, which is a Sunday. But it's kind of changed now, because the people who, like kind of the masters and the teachers who were supposed to be available for the event, now it seems like they're not going to be available on that date anymore, unfortunately. But there wasn't any programming on that date. Was there? No?
OK. No, we blocked it out for you. Right. We blocked it.
Right. Well, I wanted to make sure, just in case. So I think you can open that back up now.
I mean, it was only the two hours from like 10 to 12. But I appreciate that. Thank you. Yeah, because I just wanted to make sure. So I think the idea for this event was kind of there was going to be a big cultural exchange happening during that weekend. So there are a bunch of masters coming from all over the world for an event. So I was thinking that it could be cool to kind of take some of them and bring them to Surfside for a local demonstration, kind of teach people about the martial art and Brazilian culture in general. But this could be something that I think we can integrate in the future, just because it didn't work out for that specific day doesn't mean it can't happen in the future.
Could it happen still a weekend after or before? Or is it that weekend because a bunch of people are flying in?
It could happen before, it just wouldn't be the same scale. It would just be a smaller scale. There wouldn't be as many teachers. But we could definitely still host some kind of event for the community, which I think would be really cool. And I think that would be definitely something we could look towards doing in the summer, something maybe we could still do in June or August.
How many instructors were you, like, sort of planning on?
I was planning on bringing, well, if all these people were here, it would have been, like, six. But without them, it would probably be more like three or four.
Do you think that, you don't think that's, like, sufficient still?
I don't, not to leave a class like that.
Not, yeah, not for that, not for the amount of people that we would have, probably not. But I still think it could be a cool event to do. I mean, my thinking with it was we could bring the masters in and then for like, they could give a little class for people, like an intro class to help people kind of learn about the martial art and what it is. And then we could also integrate other local Brazilian cultural things. Like there's a big samba group who's based here in Miami as well. So we could bring them in and have them talk about it too. So that was my thinking with creating the event. And I think it still could work. And I was thinking it would be cool to do it on the 96th Street park grass, because that's the most space you have to spread out with a large group of people, because you need a decent amount of space for this. But it could also be something, it doesn't have to be super formal. It can be very low key. Like we could block off the park for two hours on one Sunday and then bring in the teachers and it could be like free community class where anyone wants to join. It doesn't have to be a whole production too. And I think it would be a cool thing for the community to experience.
And you could even do like, I mean if anyone else is, like I know you're probably, you're really into the Brazilian community because you do, what is it called?
Capoeira. Capoeira.
But like if anyone else has like, a tie to a cultural community, they could also try to do a cultural exchange event. And like, I don't know, bring in other cultures.
Yeah, no, for sure. I mean, it could be a larger martial arts event, too, in general, if we wanted to do it. Because there are a lot of different martial arts that people practice. Yeah, by the way. And more people to the event. Right. We want to make it more stale. Right. We want to keep it to the distance. Right. I think we want it to be bigger. Yeah. Like, I know for sure we could probably get definitely Taekwondo. Someone teaches Taekwondo. Definitely karate, because there already is Taekwondo at the... We have Taekwondo now. And then I'm sure we could get Krav Maga, too. I mean, I know people who teach Krav Maga. So I'm sure we could get that. So that could definitely be an option, too. I think that would work.
Would you want to just, like... Could you do a session that you incorporate into the Taekwondo class? Like back to back, half Taekwondo, half capybara? Yeah. Sorry, I keep it at zero. But if you wanted to start it there and see how much interest there is, and then go full scale.
Yeah. Yeah, that could definitely be an option.
Because if you're aiming for the summer, I would say start working on it. Because technically our term ends in June, right?
In August.
And is it August?
So you're meeting all summer?
Yes.
So is the last meeting in August for this? Oh.
Yeah, it's like from the school year. That's how it is. Well, in the summer, including when the new school year starts.
It wasn't like that last year, I remember. Yeah, I thought it was in, yeah.
Okay. It's until like the new school year starts and then you get the new students.
So yeah, if that's something you want to pursue in the summer, I'd say like, you could like, even start talking to people now, or have like, I think you already have a proposal, I can't access it here, but I'm sure you already have an event proposal and you can just formalize it and you can actually work on this between now and next Wednesday. If that's something you want to continue, which I think is good.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
And then I can help you with that if you want.
Okay. Yeah, with the proposal, and I'll outline what the new evolution of the event would look like.
Okay.
But yeah, it doesn't work on the 14 anymore, unfortunately. So that's what I've been saying.
but do you know when they released that? Is it the same application from last year?
You would have to apply again. You would have to apply again on the website.
But just in general, do you know when they release it?
Well, it's always on the town website, but I would suggest waiting a bit to submit. I know you submitted, but we haven't. But waiting a bit closer, maybe like July, because it doesn't start until August.
So we can start publicizing, like telling people to apply, or should we wait? Is it easy?
I think you should wait a little bit. I think.
So does our term end in August and the next one starts in August? The commission appoints them or who appoints them?
Yes, the commission would appoint them.
Yeah, they're not going to appoint them now. It's too early.
Did you have a question?
So our term ends in August and the next one starts in August too? Yes. September. September will be there.
A few days or a few weeks after the commission appoints.
Okay.
Okay. The application is just the same as it was before. Would we, as a commission, be able to make any changes to that application or add a question or something if we wanted to do that or explore that? Or is that not really standard?
I think we have the same application for all the boards and committees. It doesn't really change. I could bring it up to Sandra. just to see what she says, but pretty much the same for all of them.
Okay, so we'll start publicizing that people should apply and everything in July. And I know last year, how many of us are there, nine? Eight. There's eight, okay. And the year before, there was a different number. Is it eight for sure flat this year, or are there going to be more spots depending on how many people apply?
I'm not sure. I think they're going to keep it the same. But then that would be up to the commission, I guess, if they want to.
I feel like more could be better because it's hard to get more than eight people.
Because they need five people to be available, which should be difficult. Well, I guess if we have more people, does that help?
But also, what do you do to do it more? Right.
I don't know. Do you guys... It's like...
It's proportional, but that doesn't really matter. Because then you could add two more people, but then it's like they might not be able to come just as often. It doesn't really matter.
But if we... Because I know when we originally created the council, I swear it was like five or something like that.
Yeah, the resolution says five. Right.
Like if... we ever wanted to maybe propose a change or talk to a commission like talk about a change talk about something like we'd like to see differently in the selection process like now would be the time to like start talking about it so we could reach out to them and like so i just wanted to put it out there if anyone has anything they'd like to because this is going to be like your guys's thing next year so if you guys have any feedback on how you'd like the application process to change or the number of people or how it's I don't know if it can be done, but just to reach out to someone and see if that's a possibility. Do you guys have any feedback in that sense?
Any particular issues with the process?
Yeah, I think we just, during the application cycle, I think we just need to make sure we really get the messaging out so more people know about it. Because I know a lot of people didn't know when it was going to happen, closed or didn't. So first of all, I think the fact that we have an Instagram can help a lot in terms of messaging. But I think we need to find places where we know people our age hang out or at least might see it and might maybe be interested in pursuing it. I just think we need to make sure we do that during the application cycle so people actually know what's going on. But also, let's say we get 20 or 25 applications. Do you think then we would want to expand the size from A
Well, because how many underclassmen are in this? Is it five of you?
Yeah, we're all going to be seniors, right?
All right, so if it's five seniors next year and only three new people, maybe that's... Yeah.
Well, I... I don't remember. Like, last year, it was the same thing where it was, like, a bunch of the people. Like, we were all juniors for the most part. And then it just ended up...
Right, but there were only three of us.
No, I know, but I'm saying that last year, it was just us juniors, and then we had it open to sophomores. Oh, that was in front, I guess. But at the end of this, there's a bunch of Naima, Yasmin, I guess that's it. I dropped it, though. We're not ready. But I feel like...
I remember. Sorry. Sorry, through the chair. Because, yeah, three members were appointed at large.
Right.
So I don't know if that's at their discretion because each commissioner appoints one.
Do you know how many applications we received this year?
I think it was only maybe a couple more, maybe 11 or 10, like not many more than who made it onto the council.
Because something I wouldn't want to happen is if you do get 20, 25 applications, expand the council to be 16 people, and maybe that's not something that we want. Understanding now what we want the limit to be so we can communicate that to them, because right now we don't have any preference that we've stated.
Yeah. Would you guys want to expand to 10?
I think max would be 10, because five appointed and then five at large. Five at large? Maximum time. That's a good max.
Even if that means turning away half the people.
I feel like a huge council would be It's like turning away half the people is probably a good problem, not a bad problem. I don't know. 50% acceptance, right? Yeah. I feel like with the Instagram, we could get . That's true. They also makes it more legit.
Right, but it's not everybody.
It's competition.
Well, I know last year when we were trying to sort of like I remember we were trying to change the structure of it. One of the ideas was to have a quota of the number of sophomores or something so that we could not only have seniors and juniors who are only there for a year or two years and rather have a permit built up from the youngest people. I'm trying to find the document where you talked about that, but I don't know if you guys would think that's something we want to pursue. Or is that too complicated? Is it too complicated to just like...
I don't think that's too complicated. I just think we have to think it through. Because let's say we expand to 10 people, and then three have to be sophomores. So that leaves two open spots for non-sophomore people, which isn't a lot, necessarily. But I don't think that's a bad idea. I'm going to be holding down two seats for sophomores.
But is appointment by grade either way? Is that taken into account?
But it's also, if you've served on the council, I'm guessing you're more likely to be reappointed.
Just through the chair, it just says grades 9 to 12, and then can't be older than 18 years old. So those would be the requirements.
So you can think about it more, and if you guys have anything you... want to change or say, we can talk about it next week. But right now, the only preference I have is maximum 10 spots.
Yeah. Yeah, I think more than 10 is too much.
I agree. And Angie, can we just email our commissioners? Or should we put in a motion now or something?
You could put in, if you have something in mind, you could put in a motion and then still approach them. Okay.
So, like, I motion, like, not me, but, like, I would motion to set a limit of 10 council members maximum. in any subsequent application cycle.
But if we need to know the selection process, I don't know. Is there some sort of, obviously, incumbency and also if you're qualified?
I think it's just up to the commissioner. So it's just whatever they? It's based on who they think is the best fit.
Do the commissioners read all the applications?
Yes, they should all go through all the applications.
Do you think we should do max 10? Yeah. So someone would need to motion to recommend that we cap the number of youth council spots at 10 in any...
I mean, do you guys want to expand it?
I think we should give a little wiggle room to grow, but I just think that... More than 10 students. more than 10. And then we can always change our minds.
Yeah, that's true. Is there a way to make it that we have eight spots, but then if there's more, we can add two? Like a max is 10, but the standard is eight?
Yeah, I'm sure you can motion for that. You just have to phrase it, right? Like you're saying...
So based on the resolution, it's five is how many are supposed to be in the council.
So we could say I motion to recommend that there be a standard of three at-large appointments and a maximum of five in extreme cases or something?
Yeah, I think mentioning the at-large is good.
Okay.
Drafted this so a mood. This is not a motion Emotion to adapt the resolution Expand yeah, but so you wouldn't be able to actually change the resolution yourself Yes
A motion to recommend that, I can just say it and then someone can say so moved. Ready? Yeah. Okay. I prefer to move on a motion to recommend that the number of at-large appointments for the youth council be a standard of three and five in extreme cases.
So moved. So moved.
Sorry. Okay. For the standard number of at-large appointments.
Yeah, three standard at-large appointments and in extreme cases, a maximum of five.
Okay. A maximum of five. And then I would add also to consult with the commission to the motion.
that we're going to consult with them. And the council will consult with the commission on this matter.
Okay.
Perfect.
I make a motion to increase my salary.
Okay, so Jonah made the motion. And then who's going to second?
I second.
Okay. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Motion carries.
Yay. Okay, and then the last item we have for this meeting is summer planning. So there's a lot of, like this was when I thought we had a break in the summer, but we don't, but we're going to be working on these things this, I guess, starting in June, starting now, whenever you guys finish school. So we definitely have marketing. That's like me, Jack, Sophia, Sophia, Travis?
I don't think that's her name.
Did she know her name? Who was your other person? Olivia and not Sofia Chavez. I texted her and she said she could help out, but she's on a consistent basis.
So we're going to be working on getting the marketing materials.
We've talked about that a lot. We also want to, like, I know we've been talking about, like, a youth council, like, a guidebook for future councils to make sure that, like, if you don't start from square one every time. So I just wanted to brainstorm a little now on, like, things that you guys think we should include. And I know we've talked about this in previous meetings, and I'll reference those notes. But I think that was going to be me, you, and Ella. If you guys, do you guys have anything just off the top of your head that you think we should include that would be, like, helpful? Because you guys are going to be meeting it.
All the different, all the different terminologies around media motions. Like, I have no clue what that one concept was. I think we've maybe, we've done it, like, every meeting, but I never remember.
Yeah.
So I think... like some kind of chart that is like this is what this means, this is what this is, and that's what it does, this is what this is, and that's what it does. I think it would be really helpful for people.
Do we have a database of notes from class meetings?
We have it in the doc, yeah.
That should be shared with the new council, right?
Yeah, I think that would be helpful too. And maybe putting together some kind of small portfolio of pictures or videos. I guess it depends on if it's digital or physical, but pictures of past events. Because I think that could give them an idea. And maybe little descriptions about each one.
Yeah, and what we needed for the event.
Yeah, and what it did and how it helped the community a little bit. Like college did this, this, and that. And the categories as well. Yeah. Exactly, or ideas of events, ideas we've had for events.
That we have, yeah. Because I think it would be most impactful if all these ideas you guys are having now, like your Brazilian thing, Sofia's boxcar, and whatever else you guys think, really, really get them prepped this summer and start the next term. Or end this term strong with those ideas, but I don't know. I think we should all have a database of what you said, future ideas that we've had going on.
We're not doing the, are we doing the Sustainability Festival again? The one that you did last? Was that supposed to be recurring? No.
It wasn't supposed to be. I think they already had the Earth Day Festival, right? Yeah. It wasn't meant to be recurring, but I think Shepard's a really good contact, and he was super happy to work with us and do that. So I think if you guys, we could put it in the database if you guys ever want to reach out to him again, or go to Tallahassee again, the League of Cities, that could be an idea for a future term as well.
Yeah, I think future, like the contacts we've had in the last year.
I think, yeah, I think also, yeah, okay. Well, this is a very short meeting. Good job. Actually, I have one more question.
I know a couple of meetings ago we talked about the sports ideas, and we were talking about something in the summer, but we never actually decided whether to do that or not, or if we wanted to do that.
Yeah, the date was in May 2014.
Why did you decide not to do that?
Why did we decide not to do that? Oh, I think we were going to push it back because planning and there was construction or something on the courts. There was construction on the courts? Yeah.
Wait, but Jen, are you interested in doing that?
I mean, possibly.
I mean, if we already have June 14th blocked off as well, we could do something related to the field on that day.
You could have like a mini soccer tournament. Like a big ball.
It's a little small.
Find your field. What? Find your field. Find your field. Oh my god, bro. Yeah. Okay. I don't know. I think we can find a different date. Yeah. I'm actually going to push it back.
Okay, yeah, because I see here there's construction to escort. We would need, like, waivers for the minors, and we need to contact residents four weeks in advance.
Is that a requirement?
Does that sound like something to say?
If you make a reservation or a notice, the residents here, they like to be alerted, like, in a timely manner. So we would have to block off, and then on Supergrid, we would have to block off the courts actually from being reserved, so all that. And then if you guys are doing 18 and under, you need waivers. Because I heard you guys wanted to do something with the younger, well, not younger, but middle school and high school, but they're all 18 and under, so they need waivers. I don't think that's a big deal.
It's more like we just dropped one and it just got massive and they could fill that one in there.
That's what I recommend. I said for the waivers, I mean that's not so hard because if you print them out, it's easier to print them out and just have them on site so parents can sign them. The way we do it for Family Fun Day. For like the snow.
Yeah.
Parents will sign them on site and then you just have them there.
But it needs parental consent, right? Of course. Yeah. Because I'm just thinking if a high schooler comes without their parents. So we have to talk to them.
You would have to market it and let them know to participate, you still need your parent. I mean, they would just come in, sign it off, and leave. Right. But they still have to be on site when they sign it.
Who was it? That was you, Jack, and Sophia, right? Yeah. If you want to share the doc with Jonah, maybe, and we can take a look at it. Jonah, let's see.
I definitely think it was a good idea to have a sports sequence. You just have to do it. I mean, would you want to do an early summer kind of thing? I was just checking my calendar. I don't know. It could be the first two weeks of June, maybe.
June 14th?
Well, if we wanted to tell you about tennis courts. I am available between the 16th and the 21st. No, no, no. The 1st. Oh, July. Yeah. Say you're here about two weeks. No. Except for the first two weeks. Except for the first two weeks. Okay. So I should be here half the month. Yeah, half the month. Got it.
So if we wanted to do something. Okay. Great. Sounds good. Yeah, I don't know. You're saying you'd want to do like a weekend between the 16th and the 1st. Yeah. Okay. I mean... We're here to support you. If you want to do that, you can help.
Okay, I'll talk to them.
Okay, sounds good.
We'll talk. We'll talk. You should be added to our group chat.
I feel like that. So we need four weeks in advance. At least.
Give me at least four or five days.
A days?
Like a week. Give me a week. Oh, okay. Give me a week. I can work. But make sure, like, you guys are finalizing something. Yeah. And before I present it to, like, communication and the manager, you guys have it, like, confirmed that you guys are, like, set to go.
Theoretically, are those weekends available?
I could email Lucia tomorrow and let her know exactly.
Thank you. The 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th. Yeah. Okay. And then what sport are you?
Well, I feel like tennis is sort of a, I think we originally wanted to do a tennis pickleball sort of thing.
But will the construction be done by then? The construction is not on the court.
It's all around it. So transportation and having individuals park would be an issue to host an event. We actually had Someone trying to book, I think it was April 24th, the Miami Surf Club, or the Four Seasons, was trying to do something for the Miami Open. And we had to turn them away because we couldn't accommodate them. Like, there was no way. Right.
Okay. So you're thinking tennis pickle while still not a field sport?
Yeah. No, when they have a very large field. Okay. How many did you start?
I think I had many starts. Okay.
I mean, would it be fun to do, like, I was thinking, I don't know if this is too weird, but do you think people would come, what if there was, like, a night at the community center where, like, it was, like, a board game night? Is that crazy? Okay, no, I don't know. Maybe you'll give them.
Food, they'll come.
Yeah, Crumble Cookies. You can get that naked part of it. Just Crumble Cookies and then import games and little princesses.
You feed them locally.
I thought I was going to say that one.
Wait, yeah, honestly, if that's something you would want to do and just buy Crumble Cookies, I think... What if you want to just gather on a tree chicken?
Yeah, I don't know.
Caramel cookies and Shakespeare. Where can we think of a better way to spend that time?
It works for me. Yeah, next year, if you are very persistent with your marketing and have something there you know kids are going to want, like food, try it. Try it. If it's something you really care about and you really like working with, it's better to have, oh yeah, it's better to try things. What did we try? The Eco Design Festival. What did you say? Yeah, try to find your feels. Don't be afraid to fail. We failed a lot. Is that motivational? Okay. Next meeting is June 3rd. Is everyone good? Wednesday at 5.30 p.m.
Wait, if you guys didn't...
want to do find your field again because it could be cool get the seniors early because like no one's going to want to like do it first semester yeah no one wants to do anything second semester if you're working with seniors oh you mean they lost motivation for college yeah we lost the motivation but then everyone else like like we didn't lose the motivation for this it was everyone else yeah also the weather also the weather but also 10 people canceled yeah
Okay.
Mexico. Okay, wait, so did someone say they can't do June 3rd?
I think that's fine. It's fine for me.
It's your last day of school?
Yeah. Is it your last day of school? It's not my last day of school.
June 3rd.
June 3rd?
Yeah.
I graduated before.
Okay, do you want to move it?
No. Sure. I get back on June 1st, so I could probably do June 4th or June 2nd.
June 2nd? Yeah. Okay. Do I need to do a second?
I can do you a second.
Thanks.
No, I can't. You can't? Reaction? Like, I don't think so. Because, I don't know, my graduation's June 3rd. And then, I don't know.
Well, you guys want to do the week before, is that something?
No, no, no. I don't have this. Right. And again, if you can't do it a little bit after.
Can I do June 4th or not? June 3rd. June 3rd's fine.
Consensus to keep June 3rd for now? Okay, sounds good.
Hi, we're about to adjourn.
Do you want a motion to adjourn? Or can she motion?
Yeah, she's here now. Okay.
Motion to adjourn the meeting.
Oh, wait, yeah.
Nothing really, nothing much. No. Did you go to the health and design sessions? Okay, we talked about that. Through the chair. Through the chair.
Sorry, one conversation at a time just for the recording.
Isaac has a cool Brazilian cultural event that we're going to maybe do this summer or next term. We talked about the 2026-2027 application. We said we want to recommend to limit the number of council members to 10 max because beyond that it gets too hard to handle and hard to raise blood. And then for summer planning, some of us are going to work on social media. I think that's me, Jack, his friend, and Sophia Chavez, maybe. But do you want to work on social media, too?
I'm not very good with social media.
That's all about the Brazilian culture. Okay, yeah. So maybe you guys can be talking about that. That's great.
Yeah, it would probably be in the summer. Yeah, that's great. Probably, like, mid to late June. Well, but I guess if our next meeting is June 3rd, we'll figure it out in advance.
And then we also, like, our term is August to August, so we have meetings June, July, August. Okay. And is there anything that you think we could add to, like, a youth council guidebook? Like, anything you think would be helpful for, like, new commissions coming in that don't really know much? Like, we talked about, like, a database of contacts, ideas that we've had that haven't done... Terminologies like about motions and like emotionness. This might be a little like cringy, but that's the way I can put it. But maybe like reassure them that it's okay to speak. Yeah, just like tips and tricks to butt into the conversation. Not butt in, that sounds a little offensive. Just be part? Yeah. Okay. Cool. And then Jonah's going to potentially... continue to follow up on the youth sports tournament idea to do it sometime in the last half of June. And we're thinking tennis, right? Yeah. Cool. Okay. Okay. That was, yes, that was our meeting.
Of course.
Okay. Anyone have anything they want to say before we adjourn? Next meeting is June 3rd.
Yeah. Does that work for you?
Yeah, that works.
Okay. Okay, anyone? Okay, so we have motions to adjourn the meeting. Okay, second? All in favor say aye. Aye. Meeting is adjourned.
