Council - Regular Meeting

All right, special meeting for October 24th, 2025. I'm going to call the meeting to order. Uh we have two members of the board present, Josh Sangle and Kim Livingston, as well as Alyssa Hall from the treasures office. We have one member of the public. Thanks for coming out today. Um we have one item under new business and that is a resolution of the town council of the town of St. call authorizing the submission of a community crossing matching grant application and committing local match funds. I will read the ordinance into the record. Whereas the town of St. Paul, Indiana recognizes the need to improve its local road infrastructure for the benefit of residents, businesses, and visitors. And whereas the Indiana Department of Transportation administers the community crossings matching grant program, which provides funding assistance to local units of government for eligible road and bridge projects. can. Whereas the town of St. Paul is eligible to apply for funding through the CCMG program to support the improvements and maintenance of local streets and infrastructure. Whereas the CCMG program requires a local match of 25 20. Is it 25 or 20?

Uh it says 25, but it says it's written 25, but shows 20. So we just mark that out. 20% of the total project cost for communities with a population of less than 10,000. And whereas the town of St. Paul identified the milling and resurfacing of the town's roads as a priority project for submission under the CCMG program. Whereas the town council desires to authorize submission of the CCMG application and to commit the necessary local matching funds. Now therefore, be it resolved by the town council of the town of St. Paul, Indiana as follows. Authorization of application. The town council hereby authorizes submission of a community crossing matching grant application to the Indiana Department of Transportation for funding of eligible local road and bridge projects. Commitment of local match. The town of St. Paul commits to providing the required local match of 20% of the total project cost estimated to be 250,000 from the town's motor vehicle highway fund. Designation of signatory. The town council hereby authorizes the town council president to execute all necessary documents and agreements required for the submission and administration of the CCMG grant. Effective date. This resolution shall be in full force and effective upon its passage by the town council and approval by the clerk treasurer. Passed and adopted by the town council of the St. Paul Indiana this 24th day of October 2025.
