Good morning. My name is Christa Salvatore. I live in the area of St. Louis. Today, 25 years ago, I was in the World Trade Center Tower 2 on the 61st floor. I am very happy to have survived this day and I would like to take a moment to think about the 25 years since September 11, to think about the lives of people who have been lost since then. And also to tell a little about my experience on this day and Flecks of Vela. So I was on the 24th when the plane hit my building. I made it about 8 to 10 minutes before tower 2 crashed. And I actually returned to St. Louis afterwards. I moved here about 20 years ago, so since then I've lived in the area of St. Louis. And September 11th has always been a lonely day for me. My family has always supported me a lot until I discovered the organization Flags of Vela. Ten years ago, I took part in a march that led March to the Archies and from West County to the Arch, and I came across Flags of Vela on Art Hill. And I was aware that we had not forgotten that the community came together and built this beautiful exhibition, a monument, to remember all those who came to life on September 11, 2001 and since then in the war against terror. It means a lot to me that this is in our community and I would like to hand over the word to Amanda so that she can tell us a little about Flags of Valor.

Around the basin are 412 flags of the first aid, which represent the 412 victims of September 11 in New York. Each photo has a mark of recognition and a picture of the respective heroes. And each hero photo bears their name, their power of participation, as well as their place and time of death. 500 voluntary working hours were necessary to put together the recognition marks with the photos. Hmm, eh. As you can imagine, there is no room for error. If you combine a recognition mark with a wrong photo, all heroes are wrong. Can you imagine how it would be to belong to the Goldstar family and to find something like that? So it was worked with precision and respect, eh. The flags were assembled on 9 weekends of 1,200 free volunteers. The flag was hung up to the pole, and lines were drawn to know how deep it had to be buried. And then these 1,200 volunteers came on Saturday, September 5th, to Art Hill, to Art Hill. And within two and a half hours they were set up with a distance of 2.5 centimeters on both sides. Everything was planned in advance, so that it was built just like on the Arlington Cemetery, where the lines are always straight, no matter from which point of view you look at it.
