General Legislative Session - public_hearing

Good morning, everyone. Snohomish County Council is called to order for our public hearing. Today is Wednesday, June 15, 2026 at 1030 a.m. We're meeting in the Jackson boardroom and also remotely. I will read the script for providing testimony and then our clerk will take role. Public testimony will be opened on each agenda item. We'll take testimony beginning in person and then remotely. On Zoom, click on the hand icon to raise your hand. If you're calling in by phone, press star nine to raise your hand and star six to unmute. Each speaker will have three minutes to speak, and please start your testimony with your name and city of residence. Next is roll call.

Chair, we have five members present. Thank you. We have one action item today. It's Ordinance 26-028.

Council considers Ordinance 26-028. approving an interlocal agreement between Sonomish County and the City of Stanwood for flood risk mitigation.

Good morning, Council Members. For the record, Jim Martin, Council Staff. This ordinance authorizes a county executive to execute an interlocal agreement with the City of Stanwood for the repair of approximately 1,000 linear yards of a flood damage levee. The county will fund emergency repairs as described in the agreement and will provide up to $1,750,000 in funds in support of the project. These funds were originally provided to the county through ARPA and requested actions to move to Council for consideration.
