Good morning, Elise.
Good morning. Hi, Tim.
Yeah.
Hi, Tim.
Hi, Charity. Sorry, I didn't mean to ignore you. Elise's name is bigger than yours on the screen. OK, we're going to start. Here comes Christina. OK. I do have some questions for Meg, so I hope she's coming. Coco, could you just find out if she's coming or not? Sure. Hi there.
Hi. One meeting to another.
Pardon?
Running from one meeting to another.
Yes, we know the feeling. OK, we're going to start. OK, did everybody have a chance to read the May and June minutes?
Yes. OK. And just with one very minor change, the deadline date is on the May minutes.
is of course 12 31 27. oh yeah that was my oh yeah yeah my note was here that's the only change i saw deadline is still 12 31 26. but it says yes but it's 27 yeah good morning it should be 27. oh i'm sorry i screwed up i screwed up okay wait a minute
The deadline for being fully yes.
Yes. Yes. Sorry. Sorry. Cocoa. I apologize. It's a problem. Terrible map. Good morning.
Good morning.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
Okay.
All right. Anything else?
I didn't see anything else. Have we started the meeting?
Yeah, we started the meeting. Oh, okay. So you've read the minutes?
Yes.
Okay. So I make a motion to approve the minutes.
Second. Okay.
All in favor?
Aye.
Okay.
Aye.
Done. I'm going to skip through some of these things very quickly. We had an invasive plant forum a week ago. It was very successful and really informative. It was fabulous. We had about 45 people come.
Yeah.
It's really interesting.
Thank you, Don, for your help.
Well, it wasn't used. Didn't need it. I know.
But it was help nonetheless.
It had not shown up. It would have been needed. It wouldn't have wanted one. And I'm thinking, I don't know what time I have, but I'm thinking of doing a series of articles for the reporter, picking an invasive plant per time, what it is, how you get rid of it, what you replace it with.
And just a question is, can the pictures in the reporter properly depict these plants or not. You know, you don't want a small picture.
No, you don't. And actually, one thing I looked at the brochure that they're planting, I think the DEC, I forget who was putting it out, of all the plants. I looked at it and you can't tell from the photos what the plant is. Yeah. So that's actually crucial.
If you do one at a time, I love that idea, then I think you can, you know, like, if you want to do the siltweed in my front yard... Um, I can give you some good pictures of it.
Okay. Um. Okay, so the recycling, but I think you wanted to tell.
It'll be better.
Yeah, no, I would do 1 at a time. So go in depth on each 1. I like, okay. Moving on to solar and the recycling center, as you all know. Because I shared it with you. Joe has, and the town lawyer has reviewed it and we're ready to send it out. A little, so the Joe said, essentially, the green committee should be responsible for sending it out and keeping track, etc.
So a little out. I thought the town center.
So I'm a little. Yeah. So I don't know, Ben, if you can sort of help with that. I thought this is, this is for the town.
Okay. I'm trying to think how we work. I'll talk to Amber.
I know Joe is upstairs if she wants to come down and just talk about that. He's not upstairs? Okay. Anyway, I was just a little puzzled by that because it's for the town. We're not.
Yeah.
I mean, we're advising the town.
I mean, when we did the RFP for community housing, it was done by CHB. It was? Yeah. They put it out and kept track of it.
so they sent out the RFP and they okay so maybe that is the way it works all right um I can double check with Amber just to see if if that's what so and then are there any liabilities for you know you know volunteer members should something go sideways and
know do we have any personal liabilities and if we're front and center on sending it out and i will ask that question i thought we were covered i'm sure we are i think i think we are yeah because but i there should be some mechanism for the town to make this public well they are going to do that
On their website or they are, we're going to be targeting specific contractors.
It's just based on my experience and what we've talked about previously, we need to alert an actual real life person at these companies. Yes, for sure. Yes. And I mean, whether it gets sent.
uh by us literally or or the town i don't think is terribly important but uh we need to make sure they understand it is there yeah don we i'm sure we would i would imagine we would link to whatever the posting is on the town website so we wouldn't necessarily be sending it as an attachment in an email we would you know in other words we're alerting them to the availability of this RFP, which is on the town website, right? So how...
I don't think it matters much either way. It should be a public document.
Correct. It's less, it's more public, I think, if we send a link than if we're sending, it doesn't really matter.
It could be on the town letterhead, but there's no one.
brother kid right now i agree ben that was my perception meg we're just discussing the rfp and i guess my question was because joe had sent an email saying it's ready but have lawyers reviewed etc and that the goc would be sending it out so the question was is that what we do or is the town sent it out
The town can send it out. Joe can send it out if you give them a list of the contacts you want.
We were just talking about actual contact, in-person contact, phone, email, whatever, to make sure it actually somebody at the other end.
That should be Joe? It depends on what they're asking for, right? So if they want additional information, the question should go to either, I would say,
I wasn't thinking so much about wanting information, but just alerting them that it is there because otherwise it often just goes into the black hole.
Right. So that's what I'm saying. If you give a list of the emails for the contacts that you want it sent to, we can have Joe send it to them so that if they have any questions, they would respond to Joe.
Well, could we send it? I'm a little bit worried about this all taking too much time because here we are July 18th and we were hoping the RFP would go out on the 1st. Right. So we're almost three weeks late in getting the RFP completed and all it had to do was have boilerplate language put in it. So I'm thinking if people are that busy, it might be better for the committee, us to send it to individuals you know, with those emails and say, any questions should be sent to Joe Finora and give his contact information. And of course, copy him on the email or copy whoever. But I mean, I think that way you can do that. Yeah. Okay.
yeah i'm just worried about losing the other couple of weeks on this thing questions yeah right that's fine yeah I would agree, we should not answer any questions other than stating what is already published. The town clerk Joe the address the info that information we can give out but nothing nothing much more.
Right, and you would just be reaching out saying, hey, here's an opportunity, please check it out, you know, that kind of thing. Right, exactly. Absolutely, that's fine, yeah.
Okay, good. So we'll come up with an email and we'll run it by somebody? Yeah. Send it to us. Send it to you.
OK. OK. And then on the email, can we sort of reiterate, even though it's in the RFP, that for any questions, et cetera?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes, yes. Sure. I'm sorry. That's what I just said.
OK. Yeah.
And you can either attach the link to the RFP or copy the RFP itself.
Right. And some sort of a synopsis, a very short synopsis of what it is that we're looking for should be part of. Right.
so does that sort of quell your set the right yeah that that's good so is the rfp like is it on the town website right now and so we can get that link and yeah i know just i did this morning so i don't know if it's posted yet he was talking to shelby about posting it so i just have to
We wouldn't know we can't exactly.
Okay, but we'll send this, but we're good yeah we'll send the direct email to you guys just.
So everybody is an agreement okay. All right, good um. uh community solar um so i apologize i i got the information from lynn arthur late last night um so you have yeah well i can tell you we've signed up for it um so i just want to explain what this is and actually she has a website also which the websites what got sent to you late um
The link doesn't work the way you sent it, Tim.
It doesn't work?
All right.
This must be the broken link.
That's the brochure. Sorry, which link doesn't work? What Tim just sent. It's fine. The site itself is fine.
It's not a link. It's a document. I couldn't open it either.
OK. What I did do is I actually printed out so many pages from the website, which I did way back, so I didn't have time to send to Coco. But I can... So this is to explain to both of you, Lynn Arthur, who's for many years has been a sort of somebody we've been in touch with because she was the energy guru at the Southampton Greening Committee. but now she's gone on a different venture and she's working with a company called Sustainergy. It's not entirely clear the way this website is set up, but she sort of set up her own contact information and her own name for what she does to sign people up for Community Solar. But Sustainergy is the actual Right.
Sustainergy is the rightmost tab on the website.
Yes. And so I'll just read Sustainergy. I think they're based in New Jersey. Sustainergy is a community solar program administrator. Sustainergy manages a portfolio of solar projects. Sustainergy connects renters, homeowners, businesses, communities, and organizations with an electric bill with subscriptions to local community solar farms to save money. Um, And then it says, as program administrator, Sustainergy performs the following services, enrolling subscribers, managing compliance filings, handling credit reconciliation for both the host and subscribers, ensuring subscribers receive what they are actually contractually entitled to, performing usage and generation reconciliation, providing customer service, managing billing and receivables, and ensuring the solar farm is 100% subscribed at all times. So, the website is pretty simple. I might actually... Just saying. You got it? Okay. I'll give it to you. It's a fairly simple website. So I think, Christina, you've signed up for us.
Well, we're in the process. They have to correct a few things on the form before we can sign it. There are just a few mistakes on it. From their end or from their end? From their end. They put us in at Sag Harbor instead of Shelter Island Heights. Oh, OK. Yeah.
Anyway.
Anyway, I know maybe you all want to sort of absorb this before we actually.
I have a question, and maybe this was answered by Lynn. Does it matter which PSEG rate you're on? And is that 10% still valid regardless if you're on a time of day rate, for example? Do you still receive that 10% of whatever you would have had as time of day? I don't know.
You can send any questions to the info at East End to send that email. That's Lynn. That goes to Lynn. Right.
Okay.
And you can ask her that question. I don't think it, you know, she asked me what kind of rates we had. And I said, I think we're just on the standard range. Okay. You know, so. On a flat rate. Yeah. Yeah. But we should, we should know what, how this works with the different rates. That would be a good question to ask.
We're on an electric heating rate different because we have a heat pump. So yeah, if we still get 10%. Yeah.
What I would suggest is everybody look at the material and send all your questions to me, and I can send all the questions to Lynn. Does that make sense?
OK. Sure. Where are they sourcing the solar power from? Do we know?
No, we don't know. We don't know. So I just think, I guess what's a little, not disconcerting, but I guess Lynn is an agent for Sustainergy, but that's not really clear.
She's on some sort of commission is the assumption.
Correct. That's what I would think. So you're sort of looking at something for East End Sun, but then actually there's something about sustainability on the website, but it doesn't really make a connection between the two entities. So I just think that that should be made clearer. I mean, maybe I'm wrong, but I just, there's just, there's some, for me, there's some murkiness in here.
Yes. I agree.
I haven't seen it, but yeah, it was a, you know, a lot of things seem right on the surface, but where you're sourcing it, where you're putting this infrastructure, what, second order environmental impacts that may have based on where you're putting it and things like that. So, I think, well, I don't know.
So, Don, you said nobody could open up the website that I sent, that I attached.
Yeah, as Charity said, it's what you sent is just a text block rather than a hyperlink. I'll show you how to send a hyperlink. Okay.
Oh yeah, you just have to do a control K, or whatever it is on your computer.
Okay. So I want everybody to look at the website.
Yeah, well, now we have it.
We have it, yeah. Okay.
Okay. But I think, I mean, I just, I have some questions, and it sounds like some of you have questions, so. Before I think, I think, Megan, Ben, I think what Lynn would like is that she would like to do a presentation to the town board about this. But I think I just feel there are some questions here before something like that happens.
It would be nice to clear up any ambiguity.
Chair, do you have something?
Yeah, do you know, does Lynn have a financial interest in hearing the commission?
She asked if she had a financial interest. I think the answer, Charity, is likely yes. Yeah, she's on commission, but, you know.
Yeah, I mean, I.
This is, it's also something that we agree with in terms of, I mean, I would agree. I think it's a great.
program um and very beneficial especially for homeowners who are not in a position to put solar on their roof you know so we don't have any i don't have an issue with that yeah it's just i'm a little confused by it it's like it's it's it's called one thing but then it's really representing something else so it's just i just find it a little quirky right now that's all And in the website, it sort of puts sustainergy at the end, but it doesn't really explain what they are.
So we could just answer a few questions, and then if we answer those to our satisfaction, would we then want to promote it?
I think we should have these questions sent to Lynn.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I just don't think the way she's presenting it right now, it's clear.
Yeah.
Yeah, this is one of those things where if it's supporting like one individual business entity or something like that, we would want We wouldn't want to just have one person come in representing their interest. We wouldn't want to have options for the public. It's like if the town tries not to support one business over another. So we have to be careful that this isn't a private business that we're not supporting through a town. Totally understandable.
Right. The only thing is, I'm not sure anybody else is doing this, is promoting it. But I could be wrong. Right.
And there may be other, you know, community solar programs out there, so maybe there was an opportunity to demonstrate that there's multiple solar programs, like maybe I heard one maybe in Brookhaven. I've been involved in one for a year.
Right, right. So I think the question is whether she's now, whether there's been a consolidation and she's now representing a bunch of different solar projects because there can't be that many and you know, it's economies of scale. So it would make sense to have them bucketed. But anyway, those are all good questions to ask.
Totally understand, yeah. Right, right, right.
Yeah.
Okay.
I mean, I'd be happy to ask her the questions because
That's fine. I just, but if you could all sort of just put all the questions, so I have an inkling of what all your questions are. Great. That's what I would like. Got it. I mean, Meg, I know that sometimes, you know, come attended town meetings and a company has come and given a presentation, but you're saying essentially the town's not going to support a company like this without considering other companies that do the same thing.
Yeah, I think it's one thing to get a presentation on community solar, what it is, what the opportunities and the options are, but to only provide one option would be You know we wouldn't do that we would provide multiple options or opportunities for them to investigate it would be wouldn't be supporting one over others, you know it's. One of those things like we can talk about community solar what it means, what it brings the Community and then. encourage people to look into it for ourselves and here are places, you can start to search. Right, we wouldn't be like community so there's awesome go here and sign right right right yeah yeah that's how the town. Okay.
I mean, almost like we want to have a database or something.
That's right. Yeah. Yeah. Like a reference section.
Yeah.
For this specific people could go.
Yeah. Okay. It's actually been even longer.
I joined the Brookhaven Community Solar Project back in February of 2025.
But how did you find out about it? Because you knew somebody related to it, right?
There's someone in the industry, and they're like, this is happening, you should sign up. Right.
So I think this may be an opportunity or an effort to make it more visible to people, more streamlined. You know, it only just started on the east end of Long Island, or on Long Island, like around when you, I think, signed up.
Ben, so you get two bills, then PSEG and Brookhaven?
Very confusing.
Yeah, I think on this, anyway, that's another good question to ask.
Okay. But again, just any questions you have.
What's the other entity that you found on her website that you wanted to ask about?
It's just Sustainergy.
Sustainergy. Yeah.
It's just sort of tacked on to the website, but you don't know. That might be her business. No, Sustainergy is not her business.
Not her business.
She's representing sustainability and she gets commissions.
Right. Okay, that's right.
They're in New Jersey, I believe. Okay. And you go on and read about sustainability, but it's just the website doesn't make it clear what the connection of East End Sun is to sustainability.
Got it.
So you don't know really what you're... your science is more suspicion is that east end sun is but it says in this handout you just gave a it's a standard you can't just support a portfolio of solar projects yeah i mean explains explains who it is but but again i just think um anyway i don't want to keep repeating this okay um anybody have any more questions about this okay So I think I'll just get back to Lynn and say, you know, we're assembling a bunch of questions and we'll get back to her. The Green Expo, I'm not going to have a whole lot to say. Some people are dropping out. Comic Estuary Program and Comic Baykeeper, but other people are coming in. Megan, I have a question for you about the road signs. I know that I need to come and Do a presentation to the town board about where I want to put them?
You can just write a letter asking permission to put them on town property and give kind of like the locations you're looking at.
Where are they going to go?
We'll just review their work session and approve it.
Okay. It shouldn't be a problem. We've done enough with them. When do I need to do that by?
Yeah, I would do it. I mean, we have until August. When do you want to put them out?
I usually do it, like, five days before.
Okay, yeah. Do it this week, if you can. I mean, the 20th is our next meeting, so it probably won't get on that agenda, but we can do it the next meeting.
Okay. All right. I will do that this week. Okay. I have no news on the membership positions. I heard...
Increase their interests? Well, yes.
And one person said they were putting together their resume. OK. Another person, I think it's just way too involved in what they're doing right now.
That's fine.
Which is fine. They need to make a living. Green options, website contact. So our page is a little outdated. So at the very least, we need to put up to do a photo of the new bag and the new price. And then anything else you want to add to the other delete or add to the website again, just send something to me and we'll update the page. Oh, well, it's terrific. Oh my, the next thing, quality control. So I'm really, I will admit it, I'm a little bit OCD about things being level. So, but if it doesn't bother anybody else, we'll let it go. But it's printed as
Oh, you feel it's a little...
It's a little off-skew. I think...
I didn't notice.
This one was kind of blurred. So what I could do, I did sort of randomly go through the top 25, and some were fine and some were slightly askew. So do you want me to go through all the bags, which I can do, and just check for quality? Or do we just want to let it go and move on?
How much are we charging for that?
$10. I would let it go.
Yeah. OK.
I understand the OCD. But I feel like when people are moving, you're not going to notice if it's slow.
No, I don't think so. I didn't know. Well, maybe mine is slow. Don't mention it again.
Most of them seem fine for all of you out there. I just wanted to bring it up. Okay, great.
Well, it might be good for them to know that there are issues with their printing, too. I mean, they may be aware of it, but it
We could do that. I mean, imagine, but the problem is that you have... Do you have an example of a blurry one?
We don't know if it's hand-fed per bag or how it's... I'm sure it's not. Well, what do I know?
I'm happy to do that and just say, look, we're not going to ask you to redo it, but we just want you to know.
I can do that.
Okay. I won't ask you to do it, Don. Thank you, Tim. But actually, do we have a photo of, I can't remember, don't we have a photographic of this? uh yes uh coco uh yes thank you coco has the proof which is probably the best photo okay so coco when i hear back from everybody about the page updating the page um we'll just replace the current graphic with the new one and the new price but i'll send you all this information in one email so it's not like dribs of different things
And then we can do social media. Is that what you're talking about too?
What's that?
She had social media.
Yeah, advertising.
Yes. Yes. Yes. We can do all of that. Okay. Apparently they're already selling. Okay, this is a small thing, but it just, I just remind everybody. Please check the town email. yeah on a regular basis i don't know i'm not i caught up last night and i realized oh um because stuff does go out that we need to yeah and i could send you texts saying but i really don't want to do that yeah yeah fair enough um
Put a reminder in my account. I've mentioned, I think, a couple of times.
You can set it up to come directly to your phone as soon as it's sent.
All right.
And you can also set it up with whatever email client you have. If you use Outlook, if you use what I use is called Thunderbird, most any email client. you can connect to the town and so it will come in your usual stream as opposed to going to the town website clicking on email for town employees i get it through throughout look up yeah exactly that's what you should be doing yeah no actually so would not ever go through the town is everybody getting it through their phones
Yeah, and on my computer. I just have to go into it. I have to open up Chrome, and then that's how I get into it. I don't want it coming in through my regular email. That would be insane. Sorry.
That, of course, is your choice. I'm saying it's possible that you can have it most any way you want. The ports to do that, what are called, the outgoing is SMTP, the incoming is an IMAP port. All of that is available, and I can tell anybody how to do it.
Okay. Let me do... Rob, how do you access the...
I have Outlook on the phone. Yeah. What I'm doing now is I'm actually setting up notifications. So I get a little banner thing.
You have it on your phone. You don't want it on your phone or you do want it... Christina, do you want it on your phone?
I have it on my phone. I could... I mean... Yeah, anyway, I'll figure it out. Don't worry about it.
Charity?
I just need to have a reminder to check it. That's right. I'll set that.
I have it on my phone and on my computer, and I think I've been staying on top of the emails.
Okay. All right. So, okay. We're done with this? Yes. Okay. Good. And then the other thing is the Water Advisory Committee is having – they're having a know your water initiative on july 25th weather permitting um i think sean davy thank you um yep what else's last name pop uh sean davy sent this to all of you and they're looking for volunteers I guess I'm a little, Meg, you probably, and Ben, you probably know more specifically how this is going to work, but, and I was at a meeting, but the, there's a QR code set up with a sign.
Yeah, so we have a QR code that kind of leads to a document about water quality on Shelter Island and just fun facts everybody should know. Things people should be aware of if they're living on the island and using a private well. so the goal was to get people from the town and different committees from the town to talk to the public about water quality and just things that they should know about having a private well and how to you know be sensitive to that well and where they live on the island um not everybody is going to be totally up to speed on water quality issues on the island and kind of know all of that so um I think he's kind of reaching out to any group or committee that you think might be in the know or have some interest in talking about it with the public. So if you don't feel like you're knowledgeable enough, that's fine. He's just sending out a net to see who would be interested in participating and sharing their information.
Is there some sort of standard spiel? Oh, yes.
Yes. And I actually asked Sean for that. And I'll share. I don't remember if he sent it to me or not. But I did ask Sean for that.
Yeah, I responded to Sean and I asked him the same question if there were talking points. And he said that there were talking points. He didn't call them talking points, but he said that he would circulate them beforehand. I think that there was a website that he directed me to. I have not looked at that yet. I do think, though, that there was, you know, his the tone of his email was was very off putting to me and I you know I understand their interest in trying to get everybody on board, but you know Meg you just characterized it as uh you know people who are in the know should be doing this and he made it sound more sound more like no you you are required to do this yeah charity you're not the first person who's commented on the tone of the email so that's a discussion i'll be having with sean
But it is something that you need to feel comfortable about the topic in order to have dialogue with the public about it. So I don't think it's appropriate for absolutely everybody to sign up. I think you have to feel comfortable discussing and fielding questions. So if you feel like you don't have a solid grasp on some of the struggles with water on the island or you know, it's okay to say no.
I mean, no one is required to participate. I was trying to say no because I have out of town guests coming that day and I'm not going to, you know, rope them into spending two hours at the IGA. Right, right.
That's the other thing. Our kids are in town for like, they overlap for a couple of days and it's Chris's birthday, so.
No, this is something that's on our advisory committees, you know, so it's really their responsibility to the staff and if they're in the know as to what they're supposed to be talking about. I can understand where they're asking for help, that I got kind of worried.
Yes, this is not a requirement. Sean asked me to share this. It was shared with all of you. And so we're just talking about it.
Yeah. So it's an opportunity if it's something that you guys are passionate about.
Yes.
Great.
Thanks. What else do we have? I think I went through everything. Yeah. Any other? Where are we? Anything anybody wants to bring up?
I think I just want to mention it wasn't invasive plants, although it did touch on invasives. But native plants, there was a really nice presentation by a woman from the Cornell Extension on native plants that was sponsored by the library and the garden club. I think the garden club basically provided the resources to make it happen. It was at St. Mary's last Thursday. And, you know, it just, it seems like it was a nice compliment to the invasives because here's the, what you can plant and what, you know, more on what should go in these areas that from which you're removing the invasive. So, and I just think there's, it feels like there was really good energy from both meetings. you know, the one you organized was really terrific. And and then this other one. And I just would say encourage us to move in more in that direction, you know, or to keep going in that direction with people. Cause I think there's a lot of interest and it's important too.
I agree. I mean, actually one component that was supposed to happen at the basic plan is that there was going to be a third person who would say, okay, instead of you've gotten rid of this now.
They did talk a bit about that.
They did a little bit.
Yeah.
Um, I think, I think it, the perfect earth that form was a little bit different from what they normally do that's what tim wheeler told me afterwards um but he thought it was a good thing to do um but normally eduino sort of took more of a back seat after she introduced sort of the topic and then the other two sort of really talked much more um questions and answered the questions more But I thought they were a good combo, the two. And actually, maybe we could talk about, John had a suggestion about somebody who could, a possible candidate.
Oh, yes. Yes. The first name, I've forgotten. I'm sorry. Don't say it. No, that's OK, because we're- Don't say it right now. Yeah.
On camera? Yeah.
Do we want to go into executive session?
Yeah, should we just go into a quick executive session? Oh, wait, before we go, Elise, do you have any questions?
Yeah, thank you. I'm sorry. I just wanted to just jump in really quick. Tim, was there on the invasive therapy workshop, was there any handouts or presentation that you could share now?
So that would be put up on the website, any handouts. Exactly. Yeah. So I couldn't hear the presentations or PowerPoint from like the PowerPoint would be where that's available. But if we could link if he has it up and we could link to it, I can ask I can ask Andy about that.
Only because, you know, we have our party this week and then an upcoming meeting. And at the CPF meeting this week, I had mentioned, I don't know if you heard it, that I thought that the stewards of a lot of the properties, the preservation properties, should really be involved in that, too, and kind of learn stuff like that to make sure that we could keep an eye on things. And not only our own properties, but the preservation properties. But yeah, any handouts or anything else we could possibly share with our neighborhood, that'd be great.
Well, okay. Actually, a year ago, the CAC, the Conservation Advisory Committee, asked me to do a native plant list, which I did. And that's posted, I think, on the CAC page. And it should be on the Green Committee page. They also asked me to do an invasive plant list. So.
I guess my concern with along with everybody else is to making sure that we have clear and specific photos of these things. We don't want people starting to rip things out that are not.
So this is the time to do it.
Yeah.
So maybe instead of doing reporter articles, well, I could do both because they would both have the same material. I could work on an evasive plant, a brochure, but a list with photos and descriptions and all that stuff. And that could be you know, available for all the associations. We have the talent website and all that stuff. And it's easy, really easy. Like the native plant was just really easy to access. And I have a lot of photos and Anyway, I won't have it before next week.
That's okay. I just wanted to get it out there because I think that we could, as the associations, could get this information out and stay close to it in our own neighborhoods.
I'm just wondering, can we find out at the PowerPoint that he used for the invasive plants? Yeah, so then the question is, it's hard, it can be hard to share a PowerPoint because it's a lot of data and it won't necessarily go through email. So it needs to be posted somewhere. And then could we post it on the Gawk website or does he have a place where he could post it? I mean, we just, you know, then we could link to it and then they can look at it.
Yeah. That's easier to share.
True. Oh, good point. Yeah. Fair enough. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yeah. Okay.
That's what I did. I made a PDF and then,
But we could just convert his PowerPoint.
You can. I just have to look at it again and just make sure there's a lot of language in there because he talked through a lot of it.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, even if there's some things, if I can look at the PowerPoint, then you could grab screenshots from different things that might be more pertinent, not having to have all of the verbiage or anything like that.
Yeah. I don't know. I've been trying to think of ways to follow up on this. So thank you for bringing that up. And I'll talk to Andy. I'll look at his PowerPoint again and figure out if it could be tweaked a bit to add more information, if necessary, to the images.
Yeah, because what you're saying is he, in the presentation, gave a lot of information that was not included in the PowerPoint. Correct. So you might want to load some of those.
Yeah, as a PowerPoint just to show you what they look like. Right.
and I'm bummed I wasn't there and I apologize I would have liked to have grabbed that information for our group but for the meetings and upcoming information but anyway I'll follow up with you Tim if you don't mind just say if we can get that together at some point I know you're really busy so thank you it's something that we need to have so anyway I'll keep in touch I'll keep in touch with you about what we're doing thank you
Okay, thank you. Anything else? Elise, anything else?
No, I'm all for it.
Okay, all right, good. Okay, thank you. All right, will I make a motion to close the public meeting?
Second.
Okay, all in favor? Aye. Yes, okay. Okay, we're out.
Second.
