All right. Making a motion, 6180 Winchester Drive. Why don't you do your report first?

Read the ordinance, okay. 6180 Winchester Drive, Ashley Crouse Shed. The board voted whether or not to grant an applicant Ashley Crouse, property owner at 6180 Winchester Drive, a 40 square foot size variance to ordinance number 919.03b, accessory building and structure area standards, and a variance to ordinance 919-03H2, accessory use setback standards to allow the construction of a proposed 240 square foot accessory building to be 30 feet six inches from the southerly side yard lot line and 24 feet from the northerly side yard lot line as depicted in the submitted drawings. The motion was denied by the zoning board because at that particular evening they did not have a quorum or they had a quorum, but they needed all three members to vote yay for it to pass. One member voted nay, so it did not pass. Now, go for it.

Thank you, Chairperson. Yes, this is for the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting held on June 10th, 2026. Three out of five members were there. Chairperson Snitsky just read to you the variance request. The practical difficulty here is substantial. The reason for the request is that there is a current playground structure on the property to the right of the proposed shed. It's very beautiful. It's put up with cinder block and bricks all around the area, which makes it not easy to move. To the left of the proposed shed is a mature tree and landscaping. We have five adjoining residents that have no issue with the placement or site of the shed and have signed a letter as such. Additionally, the secretary, Terry Mattson, did provide counsel with a copy of the letter of the signature and a color copy of the proposed area. As Chairperson Snitsky mentioned, because there was only three members available, that constitutes quorum, which means all three members have to vote alike. Council has the power under our charter to approve, amend, modify, or reverse the findings of the ZBA. Again, one committee member from the ZBA voted nay, two voted yes.

THAT'S ALL I HAVE. THANK YOU, CHAIRPERSON. CHAIRMAN SISKY? YES, MA'AM. SO TWO VOTED YES, ONE VOTED NO. THEY BOTH EXPLAINED IT DIDN'T PASS BECAUSE WE NEEDED THREE, MAJORITY OF THE ZVA. I REVIEWED THE NOTES. I REVIEWED THE REQUEST. AND AS COUNCILMAN KELLY SAID, THE PRACTICAL DIFFICULTY IS SUBSTANTIAL. so make a long story short this is about a slam dunk as a variance request that has come across my desk in a very long time so i urge council this evening to reverse it and by reversing you'll vote no and if you concur with that and vote no they will be able to build as they desired in a very reasonable manner thank you chairman thank you mayor um is anybody here

An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of Seven Hills, Ohio, a certain charter amendment pursuant to Article 10 of the Charter of the City of Seven Hills, Ohio, for the purpose of amending Article 5 of the Charter of the City of Seven Hills, Ohio, for the purpose of amending Article 5, Administrative Departments, Boards and Commissions, Section 8, Zoning Board of Appeals, to amend the Zoning Board of Appeals process.

An ordinance authorizing the purchase of 3,920 tons of road salt sodium chloride through the Joint Municipal Improvement Consortium and authorizing an amount not to exceed $279,888 for said purchase during the 2026-2027 winter season.

Thank you, Council President. I'll be brief. I want to thank Taylor Tomeko for putting together a senior trip today down to the good time three. Number two, I want to thank Brian Kelly and the Seven Hills Horseshoe Club. You got a lot of good publicity for the city today. Their club was featured on New Day Cleveland. And they're looking to keep that long tradition in their 55th year. And they'd like to see their numbers grow so that it continues for another 55 years. And we had a part of the 250 celebration america 250 celebration today and remember american legion post 572 played taps outside city hall today he's been going around every city doing this and since i was a part of the senior crews i'd like to thank council president pro tem justin costanza for filling in for me today and presenting the proclamation on behalf of the residents of seven hills and uh Oh, and Tony Terry and the Seven Host Foundation. Um, for all they did and the service department and the rec department, we had another record crowd and our Friday night concert, a group called rumors. It was really good. Um, you know, uh, one police officer covered the whole thing. A food truck ran out of everything. A foundation ran out of their supplies, but not till later on in. TO EVERYBODY INVOLVED IN THOSE EVENTS, IT REALLY BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER AND HAS A CHANCE FOR THE CITY TO SHINE. AND THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR HAVING ON YET ANOTHER GREAT FRIDAY CONCERT. THANK YOU, COUNCIL PRESIDENT.
