First of all, I want to thank you for presenting this proclamation and for drawing our attention to the fact that Mrs. Lin has been working for Seattle for more than 50 years. And every time you see her, whether in a coffee cart, in the elevator, on the floor or in a meeting, she is always smiling, always so helpful and always happy to be there. She devoted her professional life and a large part of her personal life to public service, spent many years in the district department which, as the president of the council said, is under my committee, and we are lucky to have had someone as devoted and attentive representing our city. We are very grateful. She started working in Seattle in September 1975. Wow! Take note! In 1990, it joined the neighborhood counterparty fund program in the department of neighborhoods. For those who do not know the neighborhood counterparty fund, it is a fund to which any neighbor in the city can appeal to carry out projects, going from neighborhood parties to other community and cultural events. It is a fund that our residents have really learned to love and appreciate. She was there in 1990, working hard to ensure that we distribute funds to our neighbors for these cultural events and these important neighborhood parties. I would also say that she supervised more than 10 million dollars of investment as the coordinator of the counterparty fund of the neighborhoods. and also as a fund project manager for food equity. So I really feel very grateful to be part of Alain Root's story. I think that, as you mentioned, 51 years old, it's very special. When I worked 30 hours a week and I was tired, he just said, student, you can make it. When I got a job at the municipal council and I didn't know how to manage a budget, he said, you can make it. He always said that. And people in the neighborhood see him when I'm given something difficult for me. I still have my brother because my favorite phrase is, I'm going to tell my big brother everything. And Tony, I know I'm here for some things I've done. But you know I'm here thanks to you. And now the whole world knows it. And I love you with all my heart and soul. And he was my only brother to really survive in Vietnam. Impossible. Thank you. Thank you. A good brother.
