Recommendation: Approve the Historical and Landmarks Commission Meeting Minutes of the June 4, 2026 Meeting.
26-795 Recommendation on the Major Significant Property Alteration Permit (PLN26-00338) for a Reroofing of the Existing Single-Story Residence on the Historic Resource Inventory Located at 834 Main Street
Recommendation: Recommend that the Historical and Landmarks Commission find that the proposed project located at 834 Main Street will not destroy or have a significant adverse effect on the integrity of the Historic Resource Inventory property and that the proposed construction is compatible with the resource and recommend approval of the Major Significant Property Alteration Permit to the Community Development Department Director.

26-583 Public Hearing: Recommendation on the Significant Property Alteration / Architectural Review (PLN26-00040) to Allow the Partial Demolition of an Approximately 810 Square Foot Non-Historic Rear Addition to an Existing Two-Story Single-Family Residence Listed on the Historic Resource Inventory; Construction of an Approximately 1,058 Square Foot Two-Story Addition in Its Place; and Formal Conversion of a Previously Operated Bed and Breakfast Inn to a Single-Family Residence Located at 1390 Madison Street CEQA Status: Exempt from CEQA per Sections 15332 (In-Fill Development Projects) and 15331 (Historic Resource Restoration/Rehabilitation).
Recommendation: Recommend that the Historical and Landmarks Commission find the proposed project located at 1390 Madison Street will not destroy or have a significant adverse effect on the integrity of the Historic Resource Inventory property and that the proposed construction is compatible with the resource and recommend approval of the Significant Property Alteration / Architectural Review Permit to the Development Review Hearing Officer, subject to conditions and findings.
26-684 Public Hearing: Recommendation on the Architectural Review of a New 395 Unit Multi-Family Project Located at 451 El Camino Real within 200 Feet of a Historic Resource Inventory Property. CEQA Status: Pending Adoption of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) Prepared and Circulated in Accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Recommendation: Recommend that the Historical and Landmarks Commission find that the proposed project located at 451 El Camino Real will not destroy or have a significant adverse effect on the integrity of the Historic Resource Inventory property within 200 feet at 1005 Railroad Avenue; that the proposed construction is compatible with the surrounding neighborhood and recommend approval of the Architectural Review at the Development Review Hearing.
