City Council - Special Meeting

Good evening, everyone. This is a meeting of the San Rafael City Council. It's a special meeting. Today is Wednesday, February 11th. And I request the city clerk to call the roll, please.

Council Member Bushey. Present. Council Member Hill. Present. Vice Mayor Kurtz. Present. Council Member Yadenskaladi.

Present. Mayor Kate. Present. All five of us are here. I'll ask the city attorney to report out on the closed session, both from February 9th as well as from today, February 11th.

Mayor Mrakas, Thank you, Mayor kate no reportable action was taken after the or in the closed session on February 9 and no reportable action was taken in tonight's closed session that just concluded.

Thank you. So we have one item on the agenda for this special meeting. It's an acting city manager appointment, and, as I understand, I'll turn to the city attorney to give an oral report in addition to the brief staff report that was in the packet.

Thank you, Mayor Kate. City Manager Christina Lillovich is on leave, which necessitates appointment of an acting city manager. I have provided a written staff report. It explains the background on that. and I don't view it as requiring more from me at this juncture. So unless the Council has any questions, I would suggest you open the period for public comment.

City Council Chambers, I will go ahead and make a motion to adopt a resolution of the City Council of the city of San Rafael appointing city employee Paul navazio is acting city manager.
