Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the City Council special meeting this Monday evening, August 17th. City Clerk, please call the roll.

Here. Thank you and welcome. We're excited to be here in person with options for those who choose not to be in person to still participate virtually. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain an efficient and accessible meeting environment. There are several ways to participate. For those attending in person, you may complete a yellow request to speak slip and hand it to the city clerk. If you're participating remotely, use the Raise Your Hand feature in Zoom and you'll be called on at the appropriate time. If you're calling in via phone, you may press star 9 to raise your hand, and when you're called upon, you may press star 6 to unmute. These options for public comment will remain available until I close public comment periods for each specific item. For members of the public who may be watching us on YouTube, just a note that we don't currently support public comment through YouTube itself. We have a Zoom webinar, so please join the meeting through that using the access information listed on our agenda, which can be found on our website, cityofsanmateo.org. We will now move on to... The next item of business with one closed session item. This is item number one, conference with legal counsel, anticipated litigation. Yes, thank you, Mayor. So at the closed session, the City Council, by unanimous vote, approved intervening in an action. The action, defendants, and other particulars shall, once formally commenced, be disclosed to any person upon inquiry. Thank you.
