Board of Commissioners - Regular Meeting

Ministers, before us is item number 4592, 2027 Schedule of Value presentation. I'd like to recognize Richard Lawson, our Revenue Director, and sir, welcome.

Thank you. Good evening, gentlemen. I come before you this evening to present you with the 2027 Schedule of Values and the 2027 PUV. There's nothing to vote on tonight. This is just to let you present them to you and let you review them I'm also requesting that we have a public meeting on September the 24th for a public hearing Commissioner the items have been presented to us.

Basically, I just present these schedules, and then he gives you the time to review them. Afterwards, if you have any questions, I'd be glad to answer them. As far as a percent increase, I do not have that number yet. We're still setting the land rates. So we'll probably be setting the land rates up to the end of December. Okay. Because land's changing. Every time it seems like we have a sale, they go up a little more.

To clarification, tonight we received the presentation of the schedule value. And then October 5th is scheduled to an adoption of the values that you're presenting.

Yes, sir. Yes, sir. And it pretty well spells out in the book why we do this and our methodology and all that. But I'd be glad to meet with anybody this week who would like to meet and go into it in more detail if they'd like. Because I will be going out next Tuesday for back surgery. And I will be back for four weeks.

Is this available for citizens to look at online? It'll be online. It'll be after today?

Right now? No, it's not online now. It will go online once we accept. Then we will have a book here for citizens to come look at, and we have a book in our office that we keep there. Any taxpayers are welcome to come in and look at them.
