like driving my car. I don't think you let me drive. [Music] Yes. Thank you. for them. Oh, okay. I thought we were talking about the party bus. No, they have for that, I think. And we're going to use the party bus also. Oh, okay. I was thinking last year when I went on the thing, I was talking to some of them houses are so congested, so hard to get nice. So, so we're going to do that. Yeah. Yeah.

0:55 – 2:040

Very little parking. 30 to the flag of the United States of America. [Music] motion from last meeting. Second commentator. Follow up on ordinance violations.

2:00 – 2:490

Ordinance violation update. 402 Western Street, there's a $50 fine for the abandoned vehicle record. 555 Jefferson Street, there was a $100 fine for unvaccinated unvaccinated. 355 B was the same $100 fine for an unvaccinated dog. 102 Weston Street with a $50 fine for the nuisance driver in the front yard. At 155 Martin Street, they got a $50 fine for the nuisance hot in the yard. At 399 Jefferson Street, that was resolved with a letter. And then for the abandoned vehicle on 16 North Street, it was resolved by being paid.

2:45 – 3:020

Good job, guys. We appreciate it. Sometimes they're sitting or get overlooked and people wonder what's happening. [Music]

3:05 – 3:490

Um and I have a meeting with them on the 30th um to to discuss that. We want to go ahead and have the rate books the books already put in. I don't know that we're going to have enough time to have that meeting to have the next town council meeting out to people. What's the delay in this study? I mean, we went out early enough that it should have been stacked last month. Well, yeah, we tried to have it even this week, but it it didn't work with their schedule. Okay. First between now and December. Okay. They usually get them in December. just tell you what their pay was going to be in January.

3:47 – 4:020

Um, we still will go with that increase with the ordinance that we have put in place. Okay. [Music] Isn't that correct?

4:02 – 4:390

I think that's what we agreed to and we'll have to leave it till we get our study back. 2026 budget adoption. Um, one of the items on here are the policy. Is that the fund for the police department?

4:36 – 4:570

It's law enforcement continu. Yes. Um that go in or shouldn't all those things in there go on to the general? Not that well not that is one of our line items that we have when they get donation money at

4:56 – 5:380

is that not donation money it is and it's used specifically for their training. So what they're ending is going to be the local option or the local lip and those are the same kind of line items that would be in general budget except some of those were moved out when it was given to us in 2016. So those line items will have to be moved back into general years otherwise. So, and and Heidi, we looked over it, but I don't remember specifically what the line items are, but so you don't have the line budget out here.

5:36 – 6:020

So, there's like I think there's six line items that have to go back in general. And Heidi's looking at um areas where we can cut to get those back in. We'll probably have to cut more because we're going to have less money. So, have you heard whether the SE1 pass

5:58 – 6:440

it passed it's now called SE senate enrolled act one I so been hassled we've we attended two meetings this last week um on this issue one was with sick at the the county council meeting because the way they got this set up is county council will have to be the ones to adopt a local option of tax for us for towns that are under 3500. So, we're basically going to be begging them to adopt a tax for us so we can continue to operate. But we don't we don't

6:42 – 7:170

we won't no we won't be the only ones doing that because what the state's doing is they're basically taking away what their control over it was and they're saying they're giving it to the locals but they're only giving enough control. Let's just put it. They're not giving us the same amount of money to work with. Yeah. you're cutting the dollars and then they're telling us they're giving us control which I don't really see how those two in their minds it works out as 1.2

7:15 – 7:540

but it's it's 1.2% and that is taken over all small towns in so we're not getting 1.2% if there's six of us we're getting 1.2% 2% divided by six. So at the last Ben had a meeting about it and some of the things that are in the bill that people don't realize and actually the assessor didn't even know about it until he already put through his numbers for this year's budget because the county starts earlier than we do

7:52 – 9:020

to get all their stuff together. And so that bill was approved after they had already sent their numbers in. And in that it says that people who had deductions or credits, I don't know what they call them because I don't get one, but for solar or geothermal, those are all going away. So if you bought those items thinking you were going to get a credit for it, we're no long. And that went into an action this year. So he this 2026 that actually was taking one and he talked about a couple other things. Those were the big ones because because there was no warning on them. So because he said he could have because assessors do have some leeway and things they can do differently if they know about them. all went into the binding of the rules, but they didn't know ahead of time. Like saw them blow at all. And then we all know that homestead credits change.

9:00 – 9:300

Yeah. And then that'll be offset with parent income tax. So basically what he said is those that make the that have the higher income houses will see a more of a credit or money back than those that have a house that's 70,000. Their property tax will go up along with their um income tax will go up.

9:28 – 10:120

Nice. So, I think hopefully they're not done looking at it and they're going to make some changes because a lot of stuff's already being found. I know that Sue did say given a rough idea of the budget. Well, um Paul did ask Ben if there was any way he could figure some numbers for us and he said he could do that. So, we're just waiting on him to get back to us to see and either they won't be totally correct, but maybe it'll give us a parameter how much we'll have to cut. Well, Brad, there's something there with it would be.

10:10 – 10:440

Yeah. But when Sue Glick said the medium county council on Well, my my concern was that it diminishes for a year until we reach 78. I mean 20 28 28 or 2030 but Sublick said they're not done looking at it. They are still working on making changes. So we'll just open that. Okay. Changes will still are still to come hopefully.

10:51 – 11:360

Do you have any questions about question. That comes from and you can see there's not much going that's that was the line item the hell out of the river boat. We don't have that anymore. So that money goes away too. But we have 2,000 on them or something. 600. So, I mean it's we knew that was going away. Actually, it hasn't flooded for a couple years, has it? Yeah, we just got to check for it and we hadn't gotten one for a while just maybe they're just finishing it up.

11:34 – 12:060

One of the other things they did say about that local auction income tax though and they keep on say local auction. The income tax comes from the federal government. Okay. Our numbers get sent to the federal government. federal government then disperses the money to the states and then states disperses the money down to us. They're not really efficient at getting the money out. And the reason I say that is because the county sheriff's department gets money for each prisoner

12:04 – 12:490

because I don't know I don't if you know how many years ago they decided that the local jails were going to house some of the state. Yeah, we started that right before I left. So it would have been 2019. Okay. So they started doing that and then they would reimburse the counties for holding these prisoners in the local jails. They are still waiting for their money from last year. Wow. So not feeling real good about this new system they're putting in, but I'm hoping they'll get it together.

12:440

Yeah. I hate that I use

12:49 – 13:330

I don't know. Well, the county just I think has put a halt on bringing any more in because they can't they don't have any way to pay for the people they have because they don't have the money. They can't take in anymore until they get the money. Yeah. Is there a number on that

13:37 – 13:540

ordinance or resolution for appropriations tax? So it should be ordinance number 202504 for the budget for 2026.

14:00 – 14:330

I have a motion for ordinance 2024. We have motion to approve ordinance 254. [Music] Second in favor, discussion of staggered election terms.

14:35 – 15:200

Got a yellow. Um, well, I mean, I've looked into the stuff on trying, you know, change over the election. So, I'm I'm still not entirely sure to us back. Um, couple issues. Right now, it looks like our terms of three years. We probably have to change those to four years to stay with them. Otherwise, we still have golf election that's going to coincide with general or primary or do twoear state. We got to jump to Is the state making this go to even they because I know they're messing around with the election stuff too. Well, I'm just saying presently though the normal terms are what? Three years. They're four years. They're four years.

15:19 – 15:430

Four year terms. Oh, okay. Sorry. And we're years off from the president. So, we accepted. So we'd have to change them for a short stint to get over to get over the this board would have to set for five years. Yeah. We have to find a way to get to jump into the Yeah.

15:40 – 16:070

Have you heard of any thing that they're talking about doing because I know I've heard some stuff but not anything specific. I know they were talking about on the referendums that those had to be done during other elections. They could not do them on off years. There was something that

16:03 – 16:570

that was that just came through or that was just being discussed and I'm not sure why, but I think maybe it had to do with the cost of having it on and off election because I know um Central Mobile just did theirs and it was not passed. Well, there what what she had u [Music] here she was talking about there there is a code section allows us to we have to do an ordinance during 2026 to create essentially a one-year term for like the next term be one year to get us over and start back once we do that and then change it to this we have a whole organs to change myself. So,

16:54 – 17:360

so you'd be looking at 28 if we didn't do stagger. Yeah. Then the other question is then everybody would be on the same term. So all three members be out at the same time which would which is what they are currently which is what you probably should have been appoint. Yeah, because there's always potential then you have three members coming scary but I don't know how you do that but one off gets you know three members you can have somebody other two then you saw that election over two years chaos better than having an election over three years

17:33 – 18:140

yeah well yeah then we had an off year where we have made for put back in. Well, so you've got the is the county election is that on an even year? I can't remember. Well, I guess I do have. So, they would be So, the presidential election comes up on what? 28. So I don't So then that would put the county people on 26 possibly because they they go every they have county people at the presidential election too, right? They go they do stuff every two years.

18:12 – 18:460

So I get Yeah. So yeah, the Indiana election cycle in like three years. So 18 19 20 nothing 21 22 23 24 nothing 25. So 20 Yeah. 24 is presidential primary. So there's nothing this year. And then 26 would start with the midterm primary and 27 would be the municipal primary small town I believe. Yeah, I'm trying. And then 28 would be the right.

18:44 – 19:140

Well, I'm thinking they might want us with I don't know that they want us presidential election. They would want us with the count because I think we typically we typically are on odd years. municipal was. Oh, we may have to talk to somebody down there at the election. Yeah, be 23 and my term is 27, right?

19:09 – 19:530

So, we have our 27. That's what they're saying. I guess one year term. The last of these Shel comment she was here no cost obviously with us looking at budget cuts. How can we assure that that well us getting on the general the general election I guess schedule or with the county piggy back piggy back so we don't

19:52 – 20:300

so essentially that's where the cost was coming from yeah we had to run our own right you have to um you run your own and then they they bring the machines so that's what they're paying for you're paying for the machines and the people that are there, you know, running them, making sure that everything's running properly. And there may still be a small cost if we piggy back on with another governmental entity, but probably wouldn't be as much as it is when we have it on the mountain.

20:28 – 21:010

I don't know. She didn't she made it sound like there were other small towns that were considering it or planning to do it, but I don't I haven't heard of any others at all switching over. It hasn't been a topic of discussion town managers that that doesn't mean their brains to see what they're thinking over in the process or if anybody's done it recently practice

20:57 – 21:390

we don't understand well right so there might be someone somewhere local's always been on But other towns are on all the all the other towns that I know of are on staggered terms. But the staggered term would have you'd still probably have two people on one election, don't you think? Because you if you got four year Yeah, because that Fort Wayne, they're all elected every four years. every every single member of right because local government is always on and on

21:37 – 22:200

but they've been talking at the state level that all these elections are gonna go to even years so that there's less presidential election less elections and hopefully staggered they're not staggered what your municipal elections no I'm talking about the actual people that are running stagger terms right but currently municipal elections are not staggered everyone gets elected in every community at the same time. All city council, all your mayors, not city clerks. Correct. But not each board member would run at the same time. Not in can I know in they're they're separate. They're already staggered in development.

22:18 – 22:470

They're they're staggered. So one year one person's up and the next one person's up the next one. They're not doing it just on the municipal election year. No, but they're having right but they're ending up with three or four or five elections depending on how they've staggered them. Like they could have staggered two and two or three and two or Yeah.

22:44 – 23:390

which this would probably be two and one most likely. So I can reach out to Alia and Willa and see what their staggered terms are. It might say on their website now this stuff has to be on there. And it's something we want to you know consider change something crafted be ready to adopt 26 time to create our one year for 27. I prefer

23:48 – 24:470

I like I like the way that we do it. Well, because that way it's, you know, that people that are showing up are actually people because if they don't have the voter roles, right, which they did the last couple elections, then they wouldn't let people vote. They didn't realize he escaped. Let's turn off Rose City Council for 500 200. It wouldn't be unusual to lose a road by your position by 17 just small number.

24:460

Sure. But but still a loss. Yeah.

24:56 – 25:330

Yeah. And for those that are just don't go out and vote. Okay. It just cost money machines for that special. I'm going to see how they do their turn, but I don't I don't see how they're going to go to [Music]

25:35 – 25:490

I mean, I know why they wanted to do it. If you're already going there to vote for the president, then you're most likely going to vote for your county people and your state representatives,

25:45 – 26:560

right? And your local if you're there. Some people might say, "No, I'm one person or two people and I'm leaving it." But most people would probably vote if they get them if they get them in the door. People won't vote. And I think that's why they're trying to change the referendums to even here so that they're in an election when they're on an election when people are actually voting on something else. They're not just coming out to vote on one item. I look into started new website. Yeah. Can South Bend Drive be a oneway during the Lakeside Holiday House Walk on November 15th?

26:57 – 27:390

So the um there are two houses in that area that are on the house. Um what we what we don't want to have happen is South is so narrow. What we don't want to have happen is have um somebody, you know, having people going different directions on South when there's no BM really to get off and no B here. There's no BM. You're going to be in the lake. I I don't want to pick little old ladies up out of the lake. Yeah.

27:35 – 28:200

Is is really what it is. Um, so if just during that housewalk time we could make it, you know, like from Lion's Drive just say don't do not enter and then have it you come oh Lion's Drive from on the south side. It would if they came in from the north side, you know, coming from town dropped off at Chell's and then the but the bus and the cars could follow on one way going south through South Bend Drive. We feel like it would be a safer situation. Um especially because we do have people coming from all over the county and even people from Angola and Fort Wayne that come to the housewalk

28:18 – 28:580

and they really are not, you know, familiar with our lake and how things how the roads go. Yeah. They wouldn't know that. So whose driveway is most affected? um Edwards and Edwards the two um rental places well actually three rental places so there's that peninsula that comes out is that one running during the I don't think it's rented in the offse but the two um log homes are there but they're at the front end of it and what's your timeline

28:56 – 29:410

the it would be like if we could do it from um just like an hour ahead and an hour behind. I think it would be from 10 to 4. That would be down to one just the one way on that one day. Have you looked to see if those Airbnbs are rented? No, because it it'll show if they're rented for those weekends. Okay. Not the ones that Shaver. Okay. What? I know. He doesn't own them anymore. I'm pretty sure the one is rented like fully rented. Okay. They have all street parking as far as

29:38 – 30:220

it's just that they would be they can still access it. It's just they go [Music] it's not used that much. So for especially for that period of time and does everyone have off-road parking um they have their own driveway. Yeah. Yeah. Honestly, I don't know why it's not one way, right? We have looked at that, but the um Edward Chadels and at the time it was

30:19 – 30:560

they said they can't if the weather is really icy, they cannot make it up that hill to come out of the drive and go up. So if we put it that way, they didn't want to go they didn't want it one way from south to north and then I don't remember what the other reason why they didn't want it from north to south. There was a reason but there was a reason why they didn't want it. So maybe we didn't pass it but we're talking about just one day

30:58 – 31:420

or like a motion to allow that house to 10 to 4. 10 to 4. That way we make sure everybody gets out of there. the the houses will close at 3, but that way the the workers and everybody will, you know, be somebody. Well, that's what I was going to ask. So, I mean, we can set them out like on Friday, but somebody would need to set them up and take them down. Figure out. [Music]

31:38 – 32:120

Yeah. I think we've got committee members that could do it or the guys that are, you know, like Jim Omire that's running the bus or whatever. I think we can get it done. I'm just trying to think about um a temporary stand, put those on. Then we could just like lay them down side of the road. You guys can pick them up on that phone. Wait, I need a second on that book. All in favor I I

32:13 – 32:370

from 10 to 4 agreement for STO maintenance. You want to think about something?

32:35 – 33:330

Yeah. Did he give you the information for it? So it was initially presented that we wouldn't have the cost going forward, but it was actually the first seven years recovery and now going into the eight year the maintenance cost return is no longer covered and that's our system that makes us with the rest of the count our CAD system. Um, the new annual maintenance fee will be $1,137.87 for our part and uh it goes according to how many users you have on the system. So like Crowells would be 500 but they don't have that many users. Pavville is 20,000 because they have a dispatch center and more to be 3,000. So you can see it's depending on size of the department. So that that would be an annual cost.

33:340

Well, it's something we can

33:42 – 34:180

I'm going to need a motion for that. What is it? What is it? So this is our dispatch system communication system and u it the first seven years were covered by I don't know I would assume maybe the county state but now that we're going into the eighth year of using it that the maintenance cost for it is no longer covered or wasn't the cover no cost it was no cost for the first seven years so it wasn't

34:16 – 34:290

I'm not not presented by Mr. [Music]

34:320

All in favor.

34:34 – 35:180

All right. [Music] Thank you. Thank you very much. 102 Martin Street payment right off of 686.

35:15 – 35:530

Yes. So we had David call in that property went up for sure. um in August and it closed in September. So he doesn't feel that he is responsible for the August payment and did reach out to Bill. He agrees that he probably shouldn't be responsible for that payment that he didn't. Just wanted to ask for a motion if we could write that off. [Music] No. [Music] All in favor?

35:580

Pick up schedule.

36:00 – 36:590

Yes, I attached it to your family report. So, we always start in town right of Halloween. So, October 29th, 30th we'll be in town. The town's second pickup will be November 17th and 18th. South side of the lake will be November 3rd through the 5th. And then their second pickup will be 19th through the 21st. North side of the lake will be November 7th through the 13th. And then November 24th through the 26th will be done for its nose. have always hope or a big win. The big one just makes them less pick up in my yard.

36:58 – 38:560

Yeah, they're not at the curb. We can't pick them up. Manager report had eight meetings for the month. 10 building permits issued in September. One whole barn, one church addition, one new house on the lake, one demo demo garage. Yeah, she one foundation, one remodel where they added a bathroom and a bedroom, one screen porch, and one house addition porch. and two decks plan commission. We did not have a meeting in September BCA. We had a variance on a hype um approval that was denied. The streetard setback was approved and then Dustin and I had a meeting concerning a settlement in Sweden. It's still in orders. Um the their administrative appeal was tabled for month September because phase um Larry Weisenberger as far as I know we're still waiting on the court date on that. We take the agenda for September and relationship party finding action sheets conservancy district. Um, our budget was approved, paid the bills, bouncing gateway, the annual dam inspection went well, no problems. Park board typed the agenda in the minutes. We had the concert with part of the wise men. They're really good band, but I think they've decided that we're to do a September concert anymore. We just don't get people out for it. I think once Labor Day has passed us, we we lose our

38:53 – 39:090

crowd. So, they're looking at doing June, July, and August next year. And then the update on the tennis court paving, they're supposed to still try to get that in this fall, but they will not be striping it until spring next year. Yeah.

39:07 – 40:010

Because it's two different companies. One is a paving company and one is a company that does nothing but striping. So hopefully we'll get it done early enough. Um bike trail is finishing up purchasing those few items that we have that leftover money. Level Trails is working on the trail down Villa and Lrange County. Still putting down the markings on the pavement at the different roadways and they're also putting on the little markings to let people know where they're at on the trail. So if they have an accident, they can call in that number to the dispatch and then they know exactly where they're located trail. of course.

39:570

Yes, they actually just um closed on the Moody property

40:03 – 41:030

finally. So, they were talking that they were going to talk to um oh API I think either API or Pulver to get closed on paying that. So they'll pave it from in the well from the curb in there. You kind of see where the rail line would have went straight, but they turn to go up to the faras there at was that 350 and 850. um that would go straight across there and then come down along the edge of what's now the Piper property and then go across and connect into that gravel portion and then come across to Lion's Drive to connect into the old portion where Ken's property is. So I don't know if they're going to be able to get that done this fall. They were hoping they could, but it's, you know, everything's weather dependent at this point,

41:010

but it did take a while to get that parcel, so it's good news. right here.

41:07 – 42:260

Um, chamber has the lakeside holidays on the 15th of November and then they have the Christmas tree lighting here at town hall on the 14th. And the guys are working on reringing some of the lights on the different decorations and they'll probably put those up maybe the end of this month. I told them they could do it whenever they wanted to while the weather still bright is still doing their fiber install. We're working on the wershed plant. So the two buildings that are out end of Kelly Park um they've been in bad need of repair few years. Um we decided that they needed to look at the block on it because the one building had a lot of cracks and stuff. So we had Jim Wilkinson, he's the one that does our mason work on all the signs. He came out. He goes, "Oh yeah, this building's needing some some work." So he fixed them all and then Travis and Scott painted them. So if you get a chance, drive by them because they did a really nice job on them. And then we found a guy um in Kendville who does the type of roofs that are on those buildings and he's supposed to be in the end of this week hopefully to put new roofs on them.

42:23 – 42:360

So then we won't have to do anything more with the outside of the building. I might paint them on the inside. So, they look much better.

42:34 – 44:120

They look much better. And and Travis also painted the main building on Front Street. Here it goes street. You're going out of town. It looks nice in the same um the light brown on top, the dark brown, and then the green doors. So, they'll match the park buildings. Lumber loss landing. I did not check the bill, but he is working on an agreement for us to take over that sewer extension. And then I'm working with Josh Lash to get the annexation legal description so that we can move forward with annexing that property. I don't know that we're going to get it done in time before um the tax bills. So I think I have to have it done by March 1st and I don't think we have enough time to get it done because there's certain restrictions on how many meetings we have to have and how much time has to be between each meeting. So for those at this point, we'll get them reviewed surveys and plans for buildings permits. Held the grievance hearing for a renter at the housing authority. So the housing authority had a renter that they were evicting and then she asked for a grievance hearing. So the town is the grievance office officers on that. So we set it all up and she didn't show up. So I voted for eviction, recommended eviction.

44:10 – 44:550

Correct. Spoke with the owner of the video store about cleaning that up. So he actually called me once he received his um certified letter and he said he was working on getting someone hired and I sent him the information for the gentleman that I had come out and look at it and so he said he was going to get somebody to do something. I haven't driven by it since I was gone this weekend to see if they did anything. Do anybody happen to notice? I never Well, you're so used to seeing it look that way. So, you just kind of not Yeah, I didn't pay you don't even pay attention to it anymore. I'll check it tomorrow and then I was going to call in this week anyway. So, nothing. Not even taking care of it promoting it. So,

44:54 – 45:350

nice. Yes. So yeah, I mean there's still time to get it cleaned up before the weather turns. So I'm going to keep pushing it. Um conservancy district had the large sycamore tree in the parking lot down there at Sycamore Park taken out. It was starting to die and there was limbs falling on people's people when they're walking through there and it was just dangerous. But the company that came in and took it out did a really nice job cleaning it up and can't even tell there was every tree there. They did a great job. They did. I think most people drive by now and forget there was ever a tree.

45:330

Yeah. You can't even can't tell that there was ever a tree there. It's a big one.

45:38 – 46:260

And then I had met with a gentleman that was interested in buying a large pon lots out at Oak Shores like two or three different times, but I've never heard back from him, so I'm not sure he was real serious about it. and I attended a meeting with INDOT about the repair on the state bridge. Plan is to start this November. I think it's just going to be doing some of the smaller stuff, maybe some surveying and things. I don't know. But that project probably go through August and Front Street will be closed down during that project because they're doing that alternative lane shut down. So that might help some businesses on that street that I've been letting.

46:23 – 47:070

Will they be able to go in the back way? Yeah. Down the alley. The alley still be open. So they can get to the liquor store and have room that way. Then they can come around to Weston and hit the dog place. I can't forget the name of the dog place, the the dog groomer and then Karen's and NY's place. So, they'll just have to I think once they let their people know the first time, they'll won't be a big issue. But West Lakes, people that go out to Westlakes, they'll have to around a little bit, have them get out there. But

47:05 – 47:340

it won't be nearly as bad as what it was. Oh, right. Well, no kidding. every I mean, how much traffic went down there? At least the traffic is still going to be able. Yeah, that was their first thing. Well, we're just going to close nine again. I go, no, you're not. We're still going to be able to go n Yeah, it's going to have they're going to have that traffic light. So they'll stop going,

47:30 – 48:140

let traffic go and the alternating lane scenario, but the way they they have to have so much space for the cars to queue before that light. So that's why they're shutting off front street. They'll have to leave Lake Street open. They won't have the choice. But that that could be blocked at times, too, by traffic queuing up waiting for the light. Yeah. Just have to wait in line to get down to the street. just get 26 over and hopefully the state will be done with their projects for a few years. That would be lovely and that's it for me. You want me to do stats? Yeah.

48:10 – 48:280

Here they had 1,42,292 gallons run through the plant and they outleted 3,148,444 gallons out of plant. Obviously, you can tell we're going into reduction mode for the winter. Yeah.

48:25 – 49:230

So, we have all the space we can have for the winter to hold it. We had three call outs and 65 locates. The wershed building that that's who's got that on there that they powerwashed the buildings, primed and sealed them um two toned with paint primer and then sealed the doors, made them green. At Grant Park, they had two repairs on a leaky toilet and boat ramp. They cut down pine tree by the drive for more clearance. So up at the top of the public access, there was that pine tree that was just kind of on the corner and you had like a pontoon or a long longer boat, it was tough to make that corner. So, I told him to take that tree out and then I still would like for them to cut back that inner curb just a little bit more so that there's a little bit

49:22 – 49:560

but we don't we don't really have the equipment but I do have um excavator giving me a quote on trying to clean out that pond some of that um sediment that's in there. Yeah. And if he does that, he might have a piece of equipment when he's here that he might be able to scrape that out and then the guys can go back with the bobcat or something and you know, flatten it out better. But it I've watched them and it's tough for larger boats and projects to make that curve.

49:54 – 50:370

And then at Lakeside, they installed the install park bench and poured the concrete path for it and they have the equipment put in. If you haven't been by there, they bought a new piece of the equipment with kids to climb on and uh let's see. Oh, we have the lift. Oh, they fix replaced light bulbs along the lake that were burned out. So, we rented a lift for the guides to do the work on the do painting. Uh that stuff back at the dog park. They poured a concrete slab for the covered bench that we purchased.

50:35 – 51:070

So that was installed. They held brush two times this month. Um they trimmed the trees out back here. They used the lift. They did it while they had the lift here. They also hung the signs on the street building. So those have been off for I don't know couple years now. But we have the signs back up. And Paul said he was going to charge us rent because the long sign's on this side of the building. I said, "No, we're not." And then at the

51:04 – 51:300

drainage at the the pond for the public access, there was a big tree that had fallen in there and we had the conservative district had the tree taken out. There was a big hole left from all the roots. So the guys filled that with rip wrap. That's it for now.

51:31 – 53:280

All right. For the marshall's office, our vehicle mileage for squad one was 926. For squad 2 was 701. For squad 3 was 817 ft and for squad 4,75. Paul worked 160 hours, custom work 116. I had 181. 55:48 – 56:160

Yeah. Put everything in the next morning as soon as that happens. So, it's just done. Also, as you all know, squad 4 that went down uh last week, it just shut off and went turned back on. It got taken to Shephard by Lakeland and they're saying possible fuel pump. So, they have that squad right now.

56:13 – 57:290

Okay. or down there. These fires are all pretty for incident analysis. And uh the town of Rome City, we had 163 in contrast. In June, we had 227, July was 233. In August, it's 210. So, we're definitely dropping down in our area. Uh we had 104 that we respond to. June we had 128. July 119 August 102. So that's pretty steady. The sheriff's department responded in town with 34 calls. I'll put a break down at the bottom there that they composed that there were. In contrast, June had 26, July had 29, and August had 32. Then again in our area the sheriff farms responded to 55 calls in our area. Then he's got break down all the PS that they actually took care of.

57:37 – 58:140

How's our speed sign doing? Speed sign. So our is still in the same spot there on Front Street. It's a good place for it. Our average speed was 25.63 miles per hour. There's a minimum speed of five and a maximum speed of 68. I was not better when that happened. I have the video of it. You do have the video of it. Okay. Maybe you can get that. Can I see the plate numbers?

58:11 – 58:360

He goes by. They're going by so fast by the time they hit our place and they're already going that fast before they get to. Is there any consistency on where we could have them be? We have some repeat offenders we could probably nail down to before work and after work.

58:33 – 59:130

It looks like the majority of uh activity is right at 2:00 in the afternoon. It really bites off after 6:00. But we had an average volume per day of 633 vehicles with a total volume for the month of 18,991 vehicles down coming into town. Can you guys start around? I will let Paul know cuz he's the one that's on that time.

59:110
