So, then the next one there's three different Each city can put in as much as 10 votes for their own person. So we got Justin Richardson from Brucei and then Jason is the black. You said Jason. I think that's one of the kids.

14:49 – 15:33Speaker 1

I was just at a Atlantic wedding, so I think Yeah, big one. Um, I mean, we're talking about where we're throwing votes now. I say as many as we're allowed to throw at 10 and then 10 for 10. 20 total. I do. Makes sense to do since you only do 10 for him, do five for each of the others. Getting five more votes than each of them are. Yeah, it does help. We're here to help.

15:31 – 15:45Speaker 1

So, who all votes on that? Everybody in precinct one or what? We're place five. We're place five or just those three. Bruce, will Eddie us and Lorina be the only voting? I guess

15:48Speaker 1

I guess so. There's a tie judge.

16:05Speaker 1

You're the man, man. We'll see. Might be one of the other guys.

16:19 – 17:03Speaker 1

Did we notify anybody from public works? Missy to be here. Nobody's here. So David will be here street department show. I guess that'll be it. agenda item and number 105.

18:47 – 19:12Speaker 1

I didn't know was coming. I told you Michael was amaz right right in the center of it kind over there by the I don't know. I try to eight us to get the most out. They have all those big cool murals on the buildings and stuff. Yeah. Last time we were there. Yes. Especially

19:19 – 20:04Speaker 1

saw some of those others. And then the next day we did that trip where we went almost twothirds of the way to Edinburgh to have this lunch up in the middle of nowhere and then came back. So by the time we got back on the road eating lunch was really cool. The place we went to it was really really cool. I guess our goats big goats. It looked like cows when we first got there. You see the numbers? Yeah, we saw some there getting ready to I mean there was we were there in May so there was there was lots of little

20:02 – 20:25Speaker 1

so she claimed herself had a house. So she got her little money back. She got some money there. She's going to hustle the rest of the summer. I talked to her boss. I'm like, "Hey, work like a dog until it was a pretty cool lunch thing." And she was kind of a thing they do. Yeah. We got there and they had she was an RA at her dorm.

20:28 – 20:57Speaker 1

A lot of people don't like And then this is kind of the farm. This is where we had our size extra large. And then they asked me like what size. These are those Sheep goats. They're They're go I guess they're ghosts, but they look like cows. Yeah, but they're not. See the horn? Looks like a cattle's head, too. Yeah. Okay. This This is the house where we were at.

21:00Speaker 1

Yeah. So, we we didn't get a whole lot of time,

21:08 – 21:40Speaker 1

but hear some of those murals. It's a beautiful That's a modern bird. That's a modern Really? Yeah. That's what he what he would look like if he was alive today. Up until then Duke Wilmington statue. Yes. Traffic cone on his head. They said a trash bag. Yeah. They don't think we're highly of him there.

21:37 – 22:22Speaker 1

More expensive. I'm playing Jeremy now twice. I don't think he's ever been late. Never late. Just on time. And the city actually pays them to do it to decorate the because it's the backs of the building and stuff and they're kind of real. No, you're good. This one here looks like the walls are broken away and there's nature on the other side of them. Before I came in the back of a parking lot, blood

22:23 – 23:08Speaker 1

the mud there. Mud, the blood and the grease. Got two guys. They they told them don't drive on this area on this particular job. No, they had to mention something that you mentioned because he was concerned if they had water for it or not. So I literally had an ax in a ditch. You know that you know that in the ditch. You may have a chance to go to the French bakery downtown. I'd love to. Oh, two minutes. One to two minutes. Let's just say seconds right next to

23:06 – 23:45Speaker 1

say I'm late a little pricey in my opinion but then again I'm my body no no business you've been a couple it's okay I went to Christmas time coffee did you get spirit spirits I'll drink coffee but they all this. It's all right. And then you get on the roof and you go up these stairs and every single stair had like a bow on it in line to take pictures on the stair for the Christmas cards.

23:44 – 24:28Speaker 1

It was really neat though. It's like a bow of every like decoration on every stair. Yeah, it's coffee drinks. Like you walk in, it's like a coffee bar and then you go it's like a little wall top and you walk through and it's like a regular bar. a coffee shop. The fridge plate. They had one in DC. He says, "I have a radio here and then decided to just open one up and they're from You can't even understand the husband. She you can kind of get

24:27 – 25:11Speaker 1

honestly is a strong French accent in American. I mean, to me, it was kind of like, you know, trying to communicate with somebody from South Louisiana. I mean, it's like But even the But even the direct translated transcript, it reads different like the the way they phrase things just different. I was I was reading some French the other day. I'm like, either either Google Translate drunk. They were drunk when they were talking. I don't know. Probably probably just finished a treat. That thing now you can put these little ear things in. Yeah, it's a 13.

25:09 – 25:50Speaker 1

Well, you know, glasses will do it. They got metagasses will do it. I was at the eye doctor yesterday. They have another brand that all it does is for this time It'll help your hearing, boost your hearing, but it'll also translate all fun stuff. She had a friend of mine just get back from the Dominican Republic and he used the glasses and say it works well said he'd have to say whatever he wanted and then show up on his phone and could read it,

25:47 – 26:31Speaker 1

but he could then, you know, translate what they said. I put a pair on like these are too big too big for my head. again. They're just regular rain bands. Well, they're they're so No, no, you read it off your phone. It it doesn't display. So, it's got cameras right here and it's got speakers on the inside right here. That is the weirdest part to me was like I think the latest version will also Oh, you can see it on your on your That's what that's what he told me. He said he didn't have the latest one, but the house what he said, but he said his were it just it would just he could just hear it. Yeah. They have it where so

26:30 – 27:11Speaker 1

so like if you want to listen to some music, you can turn music on and y'all not hear it over there. I'm like so these are real thick. I mean if you remember like I like that but they're a little thicker this way too. He's cutting he his neck was hurt. He didn't he didn't wear them all the time just because instead of just doing a box in that small piece. Yeah. Yeah. Like you going right now like better take a picture. So I'd always said because

27:09 – 27:53Speaker 1

I made a lot of claims through my insurance and investment so many years. We we started off insurance but then we ended up with Go watch the Jetsons. That's what we're going to. Did you ever check out that AI receptionist? No. No. No. I did not. I didn't. Yeah. You got a plan so far. I had Well, so I've experienced it, but I didn't call that one. So that's the best one like by two times of any other one that I've seen. That one honestly that one sounds better than that in my life. I I actually agree with that. So, where was the company I called the other day that did that and it was

27:52 – 28:09Speaker 1

you obviously know you're talking about artificial intelligence, but it was very efficient. Um, and it it was landing you in all the right places and you know how many times you called for customer service and you're like talk to me.

43:50 – 44:07Speaker 1

All right. With it being 6:30, we'll go ahead and get this meeting to uh order. Um if we could all rise for the invocation. Pastor Freeman, thank you for being here. You're welcome. Absolutely. Let's pray.

Lord God, we remember that you call us to be something greater than ourselves. Whether that's being part of a a family, part of a neighborhood, part of a community, whatever it is, we recognize, Lord, that you are the one who's calling us to this. So tonight, we pray that you'll help us to look outside of ourselves, outside of our own desires, our own wants, those things that we think that will satisfy us and help us to look around and ask the question, what is best for the bigger group? What is best for this community? I thank you, Father, for this for this uh group of leaders. I thank you for the for the gifts that you've given to each of them. And I pray, Father, tonight that you will help them to use those gifts in a way that bring glory and honor to you. We pray, Father, for our first responders, for whether it's uh police, whether it's fire, whoever it might be. We ask, Father, your blessings upon them. And we pray, Father, that you will protect them in every way. Lord, continue to shape us, continue to lead us, continue to help us in Jesus name. Amen.

45:30 – 45:45Speaker 1

Roll call. Ben here. Here Rogers here. Here.

45:41 – 47:40Speaker 1

Okay. Citizen comments. Uh the city council invites citizens to address the council on any matter including items on the agenda except public hearings that are included on the agenda. Comments related Oh yeah. Comments related to the public hearings will be heard when the public hearing starts. Limit your comments to three minutes. Misty, we didn't have any cards and I don't think we have anyone, but at least set up for the record. So, uh, moving on to presentation. We have two proclamations for this evening. The first being for the public works week. Um, we don't have anyone from public works, but I'll go ahead and read this just so that way we're all familiar with the proclamation. So, this is a proclamation whereas public works professionals focus on infrastructure, facilities, and services that are of vital importance to sustainable and resilient communities and to the public health, high quality of life and well-being of the people of Robinson, Texas. And these infrastructures, facilities, and services could not be provided without the dedicated efforts of public works professionals who are engineers, managers, and employees at all levels of government and the private sector who are responsible for rebuilding, improving, and protecting our nation's transportation, water supply, water treatment, and sol solid waste systems, public buildings, and other structures and facilities essential for our citizens. And it is in the public interest for the citizens, civic leaders, and children in Robinson, Texas to gain knowledge of and to maintain an ongoing interest and understanding of the importance of public works and public works programs in their

47:38 – 48:24Speaker 1

respective communities. And the year of 2026 marks the 66th annual National Public Works Week sponsored by the American Public Works Association. Be it now resolved. Therefore, I Jeremy Stiverner, Mayor Pro Tim of the city of Robinson, Texas, do hereby recognize May 17th through the 2023rd or sorry, May 17th through the 23rd, 2026 as a National Public Works Week in the city of Ronson, Texas. And I urge all citizens to acquaint yourselves with the issues involved in providing our public works and to recognize the valuable contribution these public works professionals make every day to our health, safety, comfort, and quality of life.

48:26 – 48:58Speaker 1

Um, okay. The next is for the National Police Memorial Week. So, who all wants to join me down here? I didn't know how

49:02 – 51:00Speaker 1

y'all ready. Okay. So, this this is a proclamation. Whereas, there are more than 800,000 law enforcement officers serving in communities across the United States, including the dedicated members of the city of Robinson Police Department. And whereas, since the first recorded death in 1786, there are currently more than 24,500 law enforcement officers in the United States who have made the ultimate sacrifice and in the line of duty. And whereas the names of these dedicated public servants are engraved on the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC. And whereas the service and sacrifice of all officers killed in the line of duty will be honored during the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund's 38th candle light vigil on the evening of May 13, 2026. And whereas the candle light visual is part of the national police week which will be observed this year May 11th through 16th 2026. And whereas May 15 2026 is designated as peace officers memorial day in honor of all fallen officers and their families and US flags should be flown at half staff. Now therefore, I Jeremy Sidner, Mayor Pro Tim of the city of Robinson, Texas, do hereby proclaim May 15, 2026 as Peace Officer Memorial Day and May 11th through 16th, 2026 as National Police Week in Provinson, Texas, and publicly salutes the service of law enforcement officers in our community and in communications across the nation. Thank you so much.

50:56 – 51:37Speaker 1

Chief, can I get you to switch places? Thank you all. We don't take what you do for granted. Appreciate that. Thank you for being here.

51:40 – 52:20Speaker 1

Okay, moving on to consent agenda items. Uh, do I have a motion for the consent agenda items? Motion to approve consent consent agenda items seven and eight with eight uh having the votes split 10 for whole camp and five each for the two candidates. Okay, I'll second that motion. All right, all those in favor. Any oppose? Okay, motion passes. Moving on to regular agenda item. This is for mayor and council member updates and requests for items to be placed on future agenda items. Anybody have anything that they want to bring up?

52:17 – 52:58Speaker 1

I have one thing. I'm going to question the chief. Do we have an ordinance to restrict or prohibit pan handling in the city? I will have to research that. Not 100% positive, but most cities have ordinances against it. Okay. because you drive through Waco now and that's all you see on almost every corner and I'd like not to have that happen here. Even though we only have 77 in a couple major intersections, not only is it a safety hazard, but it's also a aggravating part of the lifestyle area.

52:56 – 53:40Speaker 1

I do remember Swatton saying that Waco had to remove its ordinance because of it was no longer allowed by state law to prohibit it. Okay. So, I think there's a It's been a long time since he's been around, so I don't know if something's changed. Have you noticed any or not in town yet, but it's going to it's going to filter up. I did notice today that over by American Bank Woodway across from the mall. I was headed out that way toward McGregor. I saw that police two police cars were there. I know. Many municipalities had ordinances against

53:40 – 54:16Speaker 1

Okay. Thank you. I don't know. The only thing I remember is that they the state passed a law that you can't in the roadway to solicit. You have to remain off the roadway. But a lot of that was for like pass the boot and all that kind of stuff. Different groups collecting money and things like that. So you're not allowed to step onto the roadway to do it. Anybody else? Okay, with that being said, we will adjourn at 6:41.
