Motion presented by Councillor Cogliandro: That the Mayor request the Chief of Police to appear before or provide to the City Council, information regarding existing Massachusetts laws and local enforcement options related to excessively loud motor vehicles, modified exhaust systems, street racing activity, and other vehicle noise disturbances impacting neighborhoods throughout the City of Revere. Further, requesting that the Administration and Police Department consider establishing a clear and accessible reporting process for residents experiencing ongoing disturbances from excessively loud vehicles.

Motion presented by Councillor Silvestri: That the Mayor request the Chief of Police and the Director of Parking to appear before the City Council to speak about flock systems such as how they are used, who has access to the data, and how that data is being shared.

Motion presented by Councillor Mercurio: That the Mayor request the Chief of Police and the Commander of the Traffic Division, to appear before the City Council to provide an overview of the operations of the Traffic Division to assist the Council in better understanding its enforcement efforts throughout the City. The presentation should include, but not be limited to, the following information. 1.) The number of officers currently assigned to the Traffic Division and their respective roles and responsibilities. 2.) The total number of traffic citations issued since January 1, 2026, including, if available, a breakdown by type of violation. 3.)The locations or areas within the City where the greatest number of traffic citations have been issued. 4.) Whether the Department has an officer with specialized training or expertise in commercial motor vehicle and heavy truck enforcement, and how such violations are addressed. 5.) An explanation of the Traffic Division's enforcement strategy, including how patrol locations are selected, the factors considered when conducting speed enforcement, and the general approach used in deploying traffic enforcement resources throughout the City.

Motion presented by Councillor Guarino-Sawaya: That the Mayor request the appropriate City departments to establish a requirement that all qualifying construction and demolition projects post a clearly visible project information sign at the property for the duration of the permitted work. The sign shall be posted in a location readily visible from the public way and shall include, at a minimum: permit number, property address, name of contractor and/or developer, permitted construction hours, project contact telephone number, and City department/contact information for residents to report complaints or concerns. The appropriate departments are further requested to determine the types and size of projects that would be subject to this requirement and establish appropriate standards for the size, placement, visibility, and maintenance of the signage.
