Okay. Public comment. Clerk, will you announce public comment, please?
I have no speaker cards.
Thank you. Public comment period is now closed. We're on to item four, consent calendar items. Consent calendar items consist of matters deemed routine and noncontroversial by staff unless a member of the Planning Commission wishes to pull an item for individual consideration. All items will be approved by one motion. Are there any items Planning Commission wishes to pull from the consent calendar? Seeing none. Clerk, is there any public comment related to the consent calendar? I have no speaker. Thank you. May we have a motion to approve the consent calendar? Thank you. Commissioner Sauce? I second. And second by commissioner Raymon.

Yes. Commissioner Forschette? Aye. Commissioner Hewen is absent. Commissioner Raymon? Aye. Commissioner Stoss? Aye. Vice chair Stevenson?
Aye.
And chair Molden? Yes. Motion passes with a six oh vote.
Thank you. And we'll move to 4.1, adopting our minutes from the regular meeting on December 10.
That was the consent calendar.
Oh, sorry. Thank you. Okay. We have no consent public hearing items. So moving to seven point one.
Can we also clarify for the record that there's no public hearing items?
Yes. Six. There are no public hearing items either. Okay. And 7.1.
Clerk, will you announce that subject, please?
Yes.
Thank you.
A resolution finding that the acquisition of property located at 3215 Prospect Park Drive, APN 072 Dash 0680 Dash 042 Dash 0000 for public purposes is consistent with the Rancho Cordova General Plan, CEQA exempt pursuant to CEQA guidelines sections or section one five zero six one b three.
Thank you. And Arlene, do have a staff report for us?
Yes. I do. Thank you, chair, and happy New Year to everybody. So before you today for, item 7.1 is an item regarding Folsom Cordova Unified School District's intent to acquire the property located at 3215 Prospect Prospect Park Drive for a small high school with a capacity of about 300 to 500 students. Pursuant to government code 65402, the school district is required to notify the city of their intent to acquire the property.
And as part of that process, city staff is required to provide background on the site in terms of their zoning and general plan designations. Then you can direct us to prepare a report to the school district with any recommendations that you may have on the school. So the subject property identified in the FCUSD letter is designated office mixed use in the general plan and its zoned office professional mixed use in our zoning code, which permits the high school use. So tonight staff is looking just for direction from commission to prepare the report that we would submit to FCUSD in order to find the site consistent with the general plan. So that's the conclusion of my presentation.
Thank you so much. Clerk, is there any public comment?
We received one public comment via email from James Garcia that was distributed to commission as well as the public and placed in the back of the room.
Thank you. And public comment period is now closed. Planning commission comments, questions?
No questions. I used to work in this building when it was with EDS. I worked there five years, so it's nice building.
Great.
I think it's a great use. I think we need another high school, Tegan. You probably can tap into that and bring him on more than I can at this point. It's like my son has passed that age, but I'm all for the school.
Yeah. Agreed. Exciting. So we need to make a motion to approve staff's preparation of that report?
I'll make that motion. I second that. Can you clarify the motion? I'll I'm I moved the staff recommendation. The staff recommended Okay. That's sufficient.
Yeah. Perfect.
And can can we get a second?
I second that. Yep. Mhmm.
So roll call vote, commissioner Deborah Polly?
Yes.
Commissioner Forschette? Aye. Commissioner Hewn is absent. Commissioner Raymond? Aye. Commissioner Stoss? Aye. Vice chair Stevenson? Aye. And chair Molden? Yes. Motion passes with a six o vote.
Great. Alright. We're on to item eight, planning commission comments, ideas, questions for tonight. Let's start with commissioner Deverpalli.
Happy New Year to everyone. Nothing specific, but we had a nice holidays with the family and friends and had fun.
Great.
Move right along. Yep. Commissioner Stevenson?
Yeah. Everything is good with the family and friends, and happy New Year to all my fellow commissioners and chair. Nothing really to report. Cordova High School is getting ready to go to the second semester, and so we gotta get ready for basketball and track and field. So I'm glad to be here with with my esteemed individuals, and it's just a blessed evening for everyone. So thank you for allowing me to be here this evening.
I'm also gonna piggyback and just say happy New Year to everyone. I'm excited for this new year. I feel like we've this last year, I've gotten learned a lot, and so excited to actually put some of my learning to work. So, yeah, let's let's do this.
Ditto. Happy New Year to everyone. It's great to be back here amongst friends and esteemed colleagues. My family had a wonderful holiday season, and we're looking to getting to work.
I don't wanna say happy New Year because everybody else said it, but happy New Year, and enjoy the holiday on Monday. So I know we'll have another meeting this month. So if I missed anything, we'll catch it then. But thanks. I like a quick short meeting.
It's a great start to the year. I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm and energy, and we're just looking forward to a great year. So thanks for being here and a part of this. Alright. We have the planning manager report.
Yes. Thank you, chair. And I think the only thing that we wanted to get, just clarification, I think we had conversations about the Planning Commissioners Academy happening in March from March '13. So if you haven't responded to Kelly's email, please do so so she can start registering everyone for the hotels and the actual event conference because it fills up fairly quickly. They've already said that they were not going to book the hotels unless you have a conference registration.
So we know that it's going to be very quick. So please respond to her. If we do not have a quorum for the March 11 meeting, which I think it sounds like we will not, we will be canceling that meeting, and we'll be holding the second meeting in March. So just FYI for everyone. So thank you, chair.
Great. Thank you so much. With that, we can go ahead and adjourn the meeting at 05:39 05:40.
Admitted this already.
