Good afternoon. Uh Derek Rooney Isles. Um I think I'm the same as everybody else here. really looking forward to see what the uh report has and and hoping that uh there's a something some silver lining to to do something to fix these problems. Thank you. Anybody else? Good afternoon everyone. I'm Brian Clemens. I'm the city engineer. I'm just going to do a brief introduction and then we'll uh we'll follow my short presentation with a presentation from our consultant. Um so we're here today. This is one of uh one of two public meetings to keep keep you all informed of where we are with the progress on this project. Um,

just so if everyone isn't familiar, I uh this map up here, this is the primary area that we're focused on. So, you're basically at Mod Street over near Fisherman's Village. Along the south, you're kind of uh our linear trail to the railroad tracks and then it follows Cooper Street up to the harbor with the harbor forming the uh north side of the project area street. I just want to bring up a couple key points. You know, this is just a an update to keep you informed. Right now, we are at the um we're performing the existing model and

we are I want to remind everyone the intent of this study is to evaluate rainfall and elevated tidal events. This isn't uh your surge events like you saw with Debbie, Idelia, Helen, Milton.

You know, uh think of you, we've had some pretty um intense rainfalls just recently. Um and what we're looking for, one of the things we're really looking for from you all is if you have any photos um that you can provide. Uh later on, we'll provide a an email address you could send those to. Um You know, ideally we would like to we need to know the location of it. Um the date if you know the rainfall um any information you can provide photos or video. I put this little photo on there because you know even though that was after one of the recent storms there's no water in that photo but you can see that that uh vegetation that rack line of debris and that helps. Um, I provided that to Kimley Horn and they can look at that in their model and to try to the goal right now is to calibrate the existing model before we start looking for answers. So,

with that being said, I'm just going to turn it over to Kelly Clark of uh Kimley Horn to run through their presentation. Um, after we get through that, we can have some public comment and uh get any uh information that you all may have. turn it over to Clark.

All right. My name is Kelly Clark. I'm with Kimley Horn. I'm a professional engineer. I specialize in uh storm water uh improvement projects. So, just like this one. And I'm going to talk a little bit about our scope just to understand where we're at in the process. specialize in water. I'm going to talk a little bit about our scope where we're at right now. So that led to ancess If you're looking at it for us, we want to make sure toward What are improvements downtown

with those options as well as the benefits? so that we can benefit. And then from there We'll have a final report. Second And I do want to assist me. So this is a storm water model's overc information.

All of that information together in the model. building up and then as occurs 24 hours of kind of the idea of And so that helps us alternatives alternatives. So I do want to ground it. Florida, the light brown, the yellow bottom right area. There's the middle

and that's something that water Sometimes we can't improve all condition. So in terms of the model we're looking at 25 years 24 hours of that event occurring every Everybody only% chance.

That's occurring. All right. So then these are standput our model. So what you see here is the year 24hour ground. So you're like one thing I want to home. They were hiding.

I can't help but think that we now have a good writer and put together a course. We don't take away emergency situations. very opportunity might be coming together for us to provide landcess.
