Please note that Mayor Promfewer is leaving the office. Thank you.
In today's session, we are going to discuss the safety of road users in Dexter near North Miller, Wallyruth Street Business District. Greetings to the Mayor and Council. Ian Marley, Transportation Manager. Um, I am very sorry to say that this grant is for our consultant, but I would like to point out that this is one that has been waiting for a long time. I think we got this grant in the 23rd financial year cycle. Um, so it is a complete line. This will be the Dana whisky from Burgess Nipple to present to you. Um, Staff. Scott Bach is its project manager. I am the transportation manager. That's why I'm only a client at Project Management. But if you have any doubts, we're here to help. That's why I'm handing this over to Dana. Make it a little smaller. I'm sorry. Thank you, Ian. As he said, I'm Dana Biskin from Burgess Nippal. Is this working?
Thank you for inviting me here today to talk about this safety method. To be more specific, as he suggested, this train was provided by the Safe Streets and Roads for All program. This is a safe method. It focuses attention on road users who may be in danger, i.e. pedestrians and cyclists, i.e. those who are not protected by cars, We made this place based on the various local efforts carried out earlier in this cloud. The only plan to calculate this in the grand plan is the Vaya Plan Safety Action Plan. This can be calculated as an experience plan that follows it. Therefore, we included the instructions in that plan. We included the instructions in the ACPUP plan, which is the local sustainability plan carried out by Vaya Plan, and the various other efforts in the community. Then this is our style of mountain range. This is surrounded by the mountains of Gurley, Montezuma, Delano, Gayle Gardiner, Lashupathri, Presquitte High School, YMCA, Granite Creek Park. So when we started the project, we collected 5-year-old accident details and continued to investigate 10-year-old details in greater detail. Because such accidents that occur to road users are usually less, this is the case. So when we conduct an investigation, it is helpful to get more details. We are not going to make sure that the incidents were very serious. In those 10 years, there have been 44 cycle accidents in our city of Meghalaya. Four of the accidents were caused by death. This shows the history of the accidents that have happened this year. So you can see small differences, but unfortunately, such accidents have been increasing since 2022. Our ship was made up of seven units. To put it simply, it was to collect the information available on the ground. We examined the methods and ships available on the ground. We saw the shortcomings of the multi-modal seringala, the places where pedestrians, cyclists and pedestrians are more likely to get injured. We also conducted the inspection of the destination and the destination of the journey. About this, our steering committee, i.e. Project Steering Committee, gave suggestions. To decide which places to give priority, we examined where cyclists and pedestrians start and end their journey. So we can understand where such users can be seen. We also examined Strava and Strava. This is an application. It can be said that it is for those who use it as a normal equipment. However, it can be tracked in any activity that starts with running, cycling, hiking. This is like an activity tracking social media platform. Therefore, the detailed resources used are, we will go to more details, and we have made it possible for the general public to know what the solutions are and where they are needed. Therefore, as I mentioned in the previous video, we have examined various underground facilities that are used by cyclists and cyclists who travel to Karnataka. We have examined where there are safe crossings in Karnataka, where there are underground facilities in the middle of the signals, the location of ramps, the accuracy of them, the location of cycle paths, and street lights. As I told you, we conducted a tour of the destination. That is, it is possible for people to start and end their journey from anywhere. This will help us to understand the important steps to be taken to solve the issues of poor road users and multi-modal facilities. Some examples of possible facilities can be thought of differently in Greenway Trail. Some of them include accommodation facilities, parking spaces, and so on. The places we considered as destinations are schools, churches, libraries, and parks. We worked together with the steering committee to get more information about them. We also examined the opinions of the public. We found some major roads that could be used for more safety in the context of our accidents. Miller Valley Road, Iron Springs Road, Root Street, Gurley Street, Willow Creek Public participation was ensured in various stages of the process. Even when we were working on projects that continued to develop the needs of the process, we used various methods to inform the public about this project. A website was provided to the city. There was a survey on whether an interactive map and the participation of residents would make it easier. Our staff spoke on the radio to encourage residents to participate in the survey and to share their opinions on the interactive map. We conducted a Facebook advertising campaign. This was carried out in two parts of the process. We were able to provide information to the staff through the emails that came in daily couriers and to reach the public. Even though the area is small in size, we received about 175 survey responses. This is very good for such a small area. In addition, we received 97 MAP pins. When talking about MAP pins, we were able to accurately identify the places where users felt that there was a security problem by using a pin. By accepting those details, we were able to clearly understand where the problem lies. During the process, we had created a steering committee. They were required to investigate all the problems. We accepted their suggestions and updated our recommendations and recommendations on the basis of those details. We asked them to share the details with us. That is, in the form of Dario, in their past experiences in the city, in their interactions with the community, etc. Therefore, a few people from the public, as well as parkers, engineers, and people from various sectors who have started traffic, participated in this. Therefore, this was a great event. Then again, we approached them to get the details of the old ship and the dady and others, and then examined all our findings with them. Therefore, the anti-missile operations included in the instructions are such as small, medium-sized places for foot-travelers, as well as match-mixers that are attached to interlocking boards. This picture is made using the AIAI below, but this is intended to show the difference in this place where the cycle path reaches a major hill. If you draw the cycle path in the middle of the right turn lane, it will be clear to the cyclists where they should stand, the drivers will be able to understand where they should stand, and the vehicle turning to the right and the cyclist will also be able to avoid the possible collision. So, it will help to do a lot of matchmaking with such a small number of people. To match the multi-modal facility So, when you make a plan, it is easy for you to think about what you want, but we thought deeply about what can be implemented effectively. Therefore, the example mentioned above is one that can be easily implemented in the view of a method. This is not a big deal. You also have the right to it, right away, right? Therefore, when we developed the methods, when we examined the previously prepared ones, we counted the available land, traffic, drainage, land use, use of the surrounding land, and the properties that are affected. We also examined utilities. For example, there are appropriate facilities to add walkways, but 69 KV medical posts will have to be relocated, and it will be in front of people's houses. Therefore, we thought that such things are not so important, but it is very easy to make simple things like drawing lines happen. Therefore, I will introduce you to some of the Shubharshas. We have turned them into Hrishvakala, Idukkala and Dheergakala Shubharshas. As you know, those times are mainly from 5 to 5 years, from 5 to 10 years, and above 10 years. The reason for this is that it is easy to carry out activities that do not require a lot of engineering skills or unnecessary equipment. But some methods that need to be improved with other steps will require more time. So, Iron Springs Road has been highlighted now. So, in the context of the Hiraswakala proposal, we are proposing to stop the struggle between cyclists and drivers to complete the bike paths and return the cyclist to the walking path. We also suggested the signage for bike routes and the necessary signage in the meantime. There are some utility boxes on the sidewalk. If it is removed, it will provide more space for pedestrians and cyclists. Moreover, it will be able to manage other facilities. Cycle ramps are used to make it easier to enter the sidewalk. Then, in Dheergagala district, we are thinking about building a sidewalk in the north-south part of the area for cyclists and pedestrians. Therefore, instead of trying to build a 5-foot bike lane in a place where there is no space, if a few feet are added to the sidewalk, it will act as a multi-use path. The leading pedestrian interval directed to Hiraswakal through Miller Valley Road. When a pedestrian pushes a button, it means that before the cars receive green light in the signal, they will have the opportunity to walk a few minutes ahead. This is intended to increase the attention of drivers about pedestrians and to reduce the struggles between drivers and pedestrians. The retro-reflective tape around the signal plates is intended to enhance the visibility of the signal. Pedestrian walk faces are expanded for people who need more time when the road is cut. We are also planning a pedestrian signal head and a hawk system for Western Avenue crosswalks in the near future. Miller Valley Road has an underpass. Therefore, we are considering another type of crosswalk crossing in Dheergakala. The road to 11 feet wide in the Gail-Karnaril-Hrishwakalam area is being re-designed. That is, a 10 feet wide two-way left-train line to cross the bike lane going to Tekkot. I think it is a mistake to go straight in this area. Therefore, the idea is to give the same place to cyclists and drivers. The signage that warns the drivers to pay attention to whether cyclists are using sidewalks for those who continue to go north. Let's think about the increase in the number of sidewalks to build a multi-use path because the place is limited in the last century. So, even if the bike lane is 5 feet wide, it will be possible to add a few more feet on the walkway. In the near future, Whipple Street will increase the walk pace so that pedestrians have more time to cut the road. Again, retro-reflective tape is used to reduce the width of the cycle paths. In places that turn to the right, there are some areas that can be blocked by cyclists. Therefore, there are some places that can be blocked by cyclists so that the vehicles that turn to the right can also go to the other side. There are some places that cannot be done. Therefore, green paint is used to make the drivers understand that this is a part that can be blocked by cyclists. Some of the recommendations in the long-term plan are that it is advisable for cyclists and hikers to build large, spacious paths. We have also suggested to use retro-reflective tape for the galley street. This is a very cost-efficient way of protecting the galley street. This is a very cost-efficient way of protecting the galley street. This is a very cost-efficient way of protecting the galley street. This is a very cost-efficient way of protecting the galley street. This is a cost-efficient way of protecting the galley street. There are barriers to cycle paths in areas that are not wide enough. Therefore, we intend to remove those barriers and make it a shoulder. At that time, people will think that it is a wide path and will not drive the vehicle fast. But the purpose of it is clear. In the meantime, using a refuge island in the summit avenue in the mid-term directions, RRFB or PHV is also called, and the establishment is also being done. In the mid-term direction, the addition of ramps to the sidewalk and other entry-level problems are also being addressed. Again, some of them may need more time and money to walk. The local authorities are investigating these needs. We suggested Brandon. A hawk signal is to be set on Brandon and Miller Valley roads. There is a crosswalk on the ground, but this is a large part of the need for more safety measures. We are also suggesting that the sidewalks be repaired. There are some important gaps in this path, so we are making a new path. Prescott High School is located on Ruth Street, near Prescott High School. The school zone in Prescott High School may not be in a good condition if the local laws are reviewed. There should not be a school zone there. So, instead of a yellow crosswalk, a white crosswalk should be made. We have also instructed to set up flex post boards to reduce the speed of vehicles and to drive carefully. Please take care of pedestrians, but we would like to follow the rules. Continue. The plan is to complete the walkway in the north part of Sun Street to set up the Kavalain Lighting, which connects the Root Street and Sun Street in Birghaladistan. Therefore, there is a vacancy there. Many of the comments made by the public are related to the trail system. People are very interested in using this. The question of whether to build other parts of the trail system or whether a crossing facility can be built for it was also asked by many. The directions and wayfindings for finding a way, and the things that help people understand where to enter the trails were also needed by the public. We are trying to use a footbridge as a crossing to operate the light there. So more safety and safety will be ensured in that place. Then some connections to the trail. They may not be operating the ADA, i.e. the lights. It will be a little difficult to use them. So Shubharshi is trying to make those connections. This was the general opinion we received from the steering committee and the public. If the trail system is maintained, it will be very helpful for those who want to walk or cycle. Therefore, the fact that there is another path from the road system seemed very attractive to the public. In addition, apart from the development of underground facilities, we also designed things for underground facilities that are not suitable for some authorities. Therefore, we made sure that the use that was not in line with the requirements was used. Now, we have seen that this is necessary in some places without multi-use paths. You can build a multi-use path, but at the moment cyclists are trying to walk on the sidewalk, or cyclists are riding on the road unexpectedly. Until a large multi-use path is built, it can be estimated that this will be allowed in the medium term. In addition, the restrictions that have been imposed to travel in the direction of cyclists should also be implemented. When a vehicle is hit by a cyclist, a cyclist is hit by a cyclist in the opposite direction of the traffic. So we are trying to avoid the possibility of accidents and make practical changes. Therefore, people should be aware that they should follow traffic rules and use cycle paths. In addition, it is necessary to provide specific directions for pedestrians to move forward and to control speed. For example, it should not be allowed to cycle at more than 10, 12 or 15 miles per hour on walking paths. Then, I know that many other communities are in the same way as the Prescott Valley, are investigating the rules for these bikes and scooters. That's my presentation. Do you have any questions? Okay, thank you, Dana. I think your story was very appropriate. I believe it was necessary for us to give some information. I really liked your stories. For example, changing utility boxes. Because utility boxes are common in corners. Then the driver cannot see what is coming. This will be a normal motorcycle or cycle traveler. This is not in your country. But this is an example of a cone that connects Plaza Drive and Thambiuta Road, near the bowling alley. There is a huge utility box there. When I go on a truck, I have a hard time there. Be very careful in that cone.
One of the things you suggested, some of the reactions from the public, is the cycles in the foodpots. My husband rides a cycle. When necessary, he rides through the foodpots. But that's not this bike. Isn't it? I think we can make everyone safe through education, enforcement, engineering. But what we have to discuss is not only about E-class 3E bikes and scooters. They are going too fast. They are not legal on the road. They don't have side mirrors. They don't have lights in the back. No one is wearing a helmet. I have felt that they are seen more these days. Let's start with easy things like striping in engineering. We have our own striping program. We can start with green paint. Then we can look at the back plates around the traffic lights. So I think we've got a good start. Jai, you run a lot of cycles through the city. I'm sure you'll see a lot of things.
This is my idea. I'm happy to get some attention for this. This is a very good view of Avalokanam. Miller Valley's underpass is the most important thing I see here. From the place where the rodeo is going to take place and from the press community grounds, there is an entrance corridor. From there, pedestrians and cyclists can comfortably walk across the road. I think that's the most exciting thing about this area. Have you ever checked anything about the drainage system in the northern part of Lincoln Avenue?
We have generally tested the drainage method, but we have not conducted any hydraulic irrigation or anything like that. For example, we are thinking about a method that can be used by the roadside if there is a waterway to turn it into an underpass in the Miller Valley crossing you mentioned. We have also tested places with retention basins, but we have not particularly conducted a hydraulic irrigation.
I don't know if this will come to the extent of Grant, because there are actually drainage problems in that area. One year ago, when I got into the house and got down, it suddenly rained. Then a housekeeper came out and said, the facilities in Mount Sumai are not ready to pour water, so the water will flow here. Everything he said happened within 10-15 minutes. Oh, it was difficult.
That's why there is a great dissatisfaction among the villagers that drainage problems have not been solved. I know that there was an effort to solve it through the CDBG grant, but it was not the right way. So I wanted to ask if it was a matter of the grant. That would be a matter to be asked to Gwen or Scott. Namaskaram Council, I am Gwen Roge from Public Works. Let me repeat your question. This is not in line with this particular grant, but we are currently preparing a plan to address drainage problems in Lincoln and Merritt individuals. About 60% of that plan has been completed. The fund has been provided for its construction in FY28. Okay, I will inform the villagers about this. Then there is one more thing to add. When talking about utility boxes, you should pay special attention to community development while inspecting the plot maps and site plans in the process of making a plan. You should ask the applicant where the utility box is going to be installed. If it is placed in the corner of the road or in a public place, it is not a good way. If possible, it should be their own property to be built, and the buildings should be in a way that there is no obstacle behind the road. The other suggestion you gave is that the cost is reduced, that is, the parts that end up in the mud after walking 50 feet and then it starts again. For example, the part in front of McDonald's in Miller Valley. Their front part. Because they did not build a sidewalk there, when people try to go on their scooters and wheelchairs, there is a big dirt road there. So I think we got a lot of good news. Mary, do you have any comments? Yes, thank you. Some things to say. 1. Cycles run on sidewalks. I was surprised when I heard that you had one of your wishes. To be honest, I was shocked. You said it so quickly. I have to make sure I understand it clearly.
That's against the law, isn't it? Yes, Councilwoman. That means there will be a change in the law. The intention was to make it a temporary event in some special places.
That is, if the speed determined in places where people can't get through the road is more, it will help cyclists and drivers to overcome their difficulties. That law is in the state, isn't it? Isn't this an ordinance?
Yes, Ian Marley, Transportation Manager. We discussed whether we should stop this project. Again, this is just an invitation. There are instructions like a toolbox on how we can move forward. I think if I am wrong, I can change the attorney. This is part of our city law. Some cities allow cycling on sidewalks. Some do not. That is my opinion. So, when we say that we can re-examine this, it is a wish, but there is certainly a discussion about it. If this society does not want to resolve this, that is the final decision, we will not go into it. Another thing is that it is only an option to solve some problems that do not have other ways, rather than walking and cycling. For example, Gale Gardener in front of Walmart is a good example. One part of the road there is very steep. It is 25 miles per hour. People may be interested in walking there and especially cycling, because they do not want to go through Willow Creek. For example, Gale Gardener in that area is in the middle of the place where they get off from Willow Creek Road. So, we don't need the money we need to build a multi-use path that can be a great solution. We are thinking about a temporary solution that can be put forward as a practical way to solve some of these problems. Previously, we had been shown that ACT UP, ACT UP, and other studies had been conducted. Often, these studies say that we have to provide cycle facilities on the road, but they do not look at the real possibilities of the road to find out whether it is possible. So, through this study, we wanted to find out whether it is useful for us to arrange cycle paths or widen the road. It may not be useful, and spending money there may not be our priority. So, what other options do we have? For example, in some places, we do not need to change the city laws in the way that cycle is allowed to run. It is not only in some places, but also in some places where it is allowed to fund a problem-solving method. That is why it is included in the law. But it does not mean that we will do it. It only means that we should not investigate it. Therefore, I do not want anyone to use it. We thought a little differently about what can be done to solve the problems of places where it is historically known that it is not possible to build cycle paths on Iron Springs Road. There is no place there. I can't build it in Gale Gardener. There is no place there. Those who use the cycle ask, what is the solution? So far, we have not found a solution to it, unless we get a big amount. That is my opinion. That is why it is included in it. If we change the legal terms of this, my wish about cycling on sidewalks is, what is the importance of cycling in this day and age?
Then, It includes vehicles that are very close to electric or electric-assisted cycles, including vehicles that are very close to motorcycles. Then,
How do we determine where we are and how? Where do you say, this is not a cycle? This is like a small motorcycle, it will not walk here. I think it is an effort to make it possible for motorcycles and motorbikes to use the speed control in the food path. When a baby is walking with a child, if a cycle passes too fast, it feels like it is going at a high speed. Is it really that fast?
If the rule is to go below 10 miles per hour on the food path, the baby with a child will experience it as 50 miles per hour, because they will experience the wind blowing quickly. That's why I think it's dangerous. I understand what the solution to this would be. Use vehicles on roads. Is it dangerous? Yes, in many cases. But I don't know if foodbaths are the answer to this. Then another thing, if I talk too much, please forgive me. When I talk about these utility boxes, am I talking about the utilities in the city? Because I thought about the big APS, APS or Telecom boxes seen in the foodbath. I don't think we have the right to tell them to change those big boxes. That's a violation.
Dani, let me say this again. Of course. When we make a plan of things that we can use, we need to examine whether we can make the cost of it feasible. The opinion in Dani's part may be an expectation about some things that cannot be changed. It's not a bad thing to have a view. It's all about the cost. Let's leave that aside. The mayor's investigation into whether the city's view is being obstructed or whether it is being built in places that are not supposed to be built now is correct. In 2017, when we made general engineering projects, and then when you made some changes to the next level, I would say that it is a good thing that we are now managing it better in places with site visibility triangles. We are trying our best to use our projects to prevent things like before from being built. So, when we move forward, I think we have good solutions. We will not establish them in places where problems arise. However, when we look at the old things, if we are running machinations, it should be part of our design. For example, I think that Miller Valley is now in the design phase of a large-scale machination method. I can't say that there were big problems with utilities in that. But we talked about where to put some things and whether they should be changed. So, there are many things going on. We have some good news. We have to continue those efforts. That's right. Very good. I will end with a good thing. I don't mean to disappoint you. Regarding the availability of the railway system,
If trailways are built and made more useful and safe, it will be useful not only for cyclists but also for people in wheelchairs and other people with physical disabilities. I think this is a very easy thing to do. It is a great help to change people from walking paths to roads for each cycle or other difficult paths or for walking needs. It is a very good thing to travel through the Greenway rather than walking. Therefore, I think it should be seen as something to be done first to match the trail roads. Yes, Patrick, do you have anything to say? Yes, thank you. I agree with that final opinion.
I think that the trail system will be a good solution for some problems in other roads.
This is a question related to nature. This affects many different directions, right? Did they have any opinion about these demonstrations or did they only agree to the problems and needs? I think they were talking about the violations of the Gayle Garner. We haven't particularly gone to the streets and had a discussion, but some demonstrations were given to the public. We were able to spread it through social media and the start of the paper. We apologize.
We have not conducted any special discussions on these issues. What we did was to make use of our project website and interactive app. We shared those corrective suggestions and asked the public for their opinions on them. The council woman suggested that the Greenway Trail should be re-established, which was greatly appreciated by the public. We also saw that more cyclists came to the public for the past few months to present various wishes. Did you have any particular biking incidents like Pimba Pimba? We had included PBETAC and PBTAC in this project. Any members of PBDS were part of our project steering committee. We had asked them to provide detailed information to the cycling community. Yes. So PBDS will get a share of this project.
Yes, they have told us that all this is happening. But we haven't talked much about it. First, we wanted to announce this in front of the council. However, as Dana said, some members of the community were directly involved in this. They are either on boards or are associated with many biking associations. There was a member of the Prescott Alternative Transit with us. So, most of our efforts to reach the public were to bring these people closer. Because they are the ones who have the ability to correctly identify and give good feedback on the map.
Yes, thank you. Mr. Garing, do you have any comments?
Thank you, Mayor. I have a few things to say. I have great doubts about the idea of cycling on sidewalks. There are many reasons for my doubts. I think all of you should think about this with respect again. If you search for this online, you can see some pictures of Phoenix. In that, this is more dangerous than cycling on the road as per the law. If further investigated, Joe, if what I say is wrong, it should be corrected. If the Arizona law is investigated, it can be seen that the same laws should be applied to cyclists who do not drive motorcycles. If you see someone cycling against the law, you are seeing someone who is cycling against the law. That is not according to Arizona law. They must stop at the stop signs and traffic signals, and show the signal that is visible. Have you ever seen a cyclist stop at a stop sign here? This is a problem of awareness. I am referring you to the Bike Book of the Arizona Department of Transportation. You can see various instructions and pictures describing how to ride cycles on roads in it. So, there are some reasons for this, but there is another reason related to my past. My father was a very interested cyclist. He had three cycles. He was allowed to ride 75,000 miles in them. For 20 years, he was the chairman of San Luis Obispo County Cycle Club. He joined the club and traveled from San Luis Obispo to Tuxedo, California, to visit my grandparents. In his opinion, it was a good time. If you ask my father today, unfortunately it is not possible. Cyclists should be on the right side as much as possible. If there is a bike lane, you should go through it, not through the sidewalks. Oh, one more thing. If you visit San Luis Obispo and go through Foothill Road, you will see a blue board that says Bob Gehring Bikeway.
Mayor Rosin, Councillor Gumboji has something to say.
Okay, go ahead. I have a few things to say. Um. When I was driving in Prescott, I had more problems than utility boxes when I was driving in Prescott. There's one more thing to say. It's about the cycles on the roads. Before discovering the chakras, Gehring's father thought that he would have made the cycle his own. Then I remember the wheelchairs on the sidewalks. I don't want them to share a sidewalk with a cyclist. Some places are safe, some places are not. It is difficult for a cyclist to understand this. I think it will be difficult for the police to make this a sidewalk too. Therefore, along with Councillor Gehring, I also say that I do not allow cyclists to walk on the sidewalks. That's all. Thank you, Ted. Have a good holiday. Um, I have a comment to make.
There are a lot of people using motorized scooters here. They have to be connected to the city center. Sometimes I see them in bike lanes. It makes me a little nervous. I want to see them on the sidewalks. So, what are your suggestions for people using motorized scooters? Should they be on the sidewalks or on bike lanes? Yes, Mayor. There are many motorized scooters in other communities like Tempe. They are promoting it. There is a similar law in Tempe. You can't say that. We are talking about wheelchairs. Forgive me. Motorized wheelchairs.
We have many people who come in wheelchairs and go to Fries. Forgive me. I got that question wrong. I don't know the maximum speed of it, but I feel that she will be more safe if she doesn't walk. Many of the people in this are connected with the hope that they should be good people. I have a daughter. She is 13 years old, when we go for a bike ride, I feel more confident about leaving her on the street than walking. She is not a well-known rider. Even so, I can teach her to behave with respect to others in those situations. So, I will say that the wheelchairs must remain on the road until the speed is checked. Thank you. I am very happy that you have installed Greenway Trails in your city. Because we used a Circle Grand to rebuild our Granite Creek Trail system. Actually, it was a place full of crimes, but now I can't believe how much it has changed for bikers and pedestrians. They are getting along well in Tamil. There are bikers and travelers.
This has helped that area a lot. Because it was full of crimes. I would like to see it change. Jay, I can tell you anything. Because you ride a bike in that area too. I'm going to talk about the road in Lincoln. Right? Because I live in Lincoln. Every Sunday, within an hour, you can see a motorized wheelchair. You can see two kids in minibikes. You can see an electric motorized bike. You will be able to see all the forms of Gathakadam that can be imagined. People walk like this. If the reason is to go through the road, it is dangerous. When people come from the grove to Lingan, they go down to the well and increase the speed through the cone because it is dangerous. So I know that no one wants to ride their own bike on the road. Right? That's why there are only 4 feet of space for the sidewalk there. Now it has 20 feet of space, so it's safe. I think the fact that the sidewalk has more space should definitely be improved, because people are not following that law now. So we are investigating how to make this safe. The purpose of the law and the law are different in Tamil, aren't they? I don't think people will stop cycling on that sidewalk. We have to accept that as a reality. If they say not to ride on the sidewalk, it will be more dangerous for them. Thank you.
Mr. Garingil has another opinion. Thank you, Mayor. Yes.
When I first heard about the Arizona cycle laws, I understood that the cycle means that pedal cycles, e-bikes, and bikes with engines up to 50 cc are included. Here, I saw a man riding an electric scooter in Prescott traffic. He was going at a speed of 35 to 40 miles per hour. So, it would be a big problem for such a man not to walk. I think we need to pay attention to the press code value. They are trying to learn about the different classes of these bikes and bring in new laws. Like they do, we need to think about making them walk the same way, because their usage is increasing. It's a quick thing for Class 3 bikes to go through the road at a speed of 30 miles without a helmet. The same staff is paying attention to what is happening there. We are taking part in those events. We will continue to take part. These bikes and the things that are related to them are a problem on the roads. We can think differently about the issue of driving without walking. We can look at what other communities are doing in the matter of these bikes and we can follow it. Because there are accidents on the roads. That's why we are paying attention to this. Things like cycling without walking.
Yes. Okay, Mary, do you have another opinion? Yes, it's about motorized wheelchairs. I asked my husband.
His wheelchair is 12 miles high. However, if we tell the truth, he will be afraid to see that he is going that fast. However, I don't think it's appropriate to say how fast he can go, and that ADA, that is, the entire order, that is, the order not to allow him in the food path, is legal or safe. Isn't it? Yes. Okay, we have some public opinions to accept. There are no public opinion cards, Mayor.
Oh, I think there is a person here who doesn't know that a card has to be issued. If you want to give a card and talk, there are blue cards at the back. Otherwise, you don't have to force it. Okay.
Is there anyone else who forgot to issue a card? Okay. Okay. Thank you. Yes, I think this is an ambitious plan. This is something that can be easily implemented. This will bring big changes. But as I said, if we can inspire schools to provide education to children about cycle safety, that is, I remember what I said about cycle safety in class. Yes, I know it was a time when the outside of the earth was cold.
But it's stuck in my mind. I'm happy to say that I've never had a cycle accident on the road. Mountain biking is another story. But anyway, let's wait for a few minutes until we get an answer.
Okay, Charlene. I wrote to the CET Council about this. I live near Whipple. Can you talk to the microphone? That's right. I live in Whipple, 689 Whipple. So I'm in the middle of it. I walk a lot. I used to ride a cycle until I moved to Prescott. I decided that riding a cycle here is very dangerous. I avoided my cycle. I. You stand a little closer to the mic. I have a special interest in any instruction that allows cyclists to use footpaths. I don't think it's safe. I know you're talking about the Lincoln thing, because I walk there too. That's how I go to the parkway system. Then I don't know. There were cycling and food paths in other cities where I lived. But there were special paths for people who walked on special paths. So she was different. Obviously, they don't share it. Maybe it's a wish. One thing she doesn't talk about is the lines to turn right from Miller Valley, Whipple, Iron Springs, etc. Then that whole area. Then for pedestrians and cyclists, one thing that makes it very dangerous is the paths with those big turns. Because when the car drivers look this way, the car will come. But the traffic is coming in this direction. So that's all I have to say about it. I think the signals of the pedestrians in Kavala have helped. Then the other thing I am saying is about more trees walking. Because trees reduce the speed of traffic and a big problem in that area is the excess speed of traffic. There are a lot of places in Prescott to share roads with cyclists. I don't think it's that safe. As I said, I'm not safe to ride a cycle, so I stopped it, but when I walk, the road is shared more than the cycles on the footpath. If I hit a cycle, I'll be in trouble. That's why I don't want it. Then, when you turn from those streets, it is an effort for those who drive cars to pay attention to the cycles that go faster than those who travel by foot through the food path. These are my opinions.
Thank you. Okay. Thank you. You said good things. Mr. Ruby.
There is a bridge that links Lincoln to the water. It is always used by motorcycles and motor vehicles. That's why I think we need awareness. Also, we need to check how the facilities there are used by the people. Because then it becomes a problem of re-awareness. If there is water, everyone who comes through Lincoln Road will use that bridge in any vehicle they have. Okay, Patrick. Yes, I have one more thing to say. Um. I know that the Community Development Department is reviewing very old urban planning methods. I don't know which places they are from, but I think we need to find out the opinions of the local residents involved in the planning process outside the associations and cyclists. I don't know what their schedule is, but I think it will happen in the next two years, because some of our urban planning methods are ten years old. Our CET Manager, you are a cyclist, right? Do you have any opinion on this discussion? I am now questioning you a little. This is a good discussion. Let me say that I am a cyclist who likes trails. So I really like the Granite Creek Park Trail. It takes you from the middle school. You can come to the park here. You can go to the rodeo from there. It is a pleasant path. I had told you about the underpass earlier. It is an underpass that turns into a short gear and tries to climb up the rocks. But what we talked about today is right. We are discussing everything correctly. If you go to Europe, you can see cycles everywhere. I don't remember seeing any accidents, but they somehow survive. Okay, do you have any other opinions? Okay, okay, thank you. This yoke breaks.
