like to call the meeting in order. Yes, I'll just get back. Well, here I'll sign that. Okay. Like to call the meeting order and I have a few words after fight to the flag of the United States of America to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, liberty and justice for all. A few reminders before we get going. Please state your name and title when you first begin speaking. Public comment will be allowed to the extent that it's on topic. Persons participating via Zoom are currently muted. If you have a comment, then please let Mark know via the chat function. Mark will it inform Chairman Trinko can take up the comment in a manner that doesn't disrupt the agenda. And if an executive session is needed, then we'll mute and turn off the video. And when we're done, we'll turn everything back on.

10:44 – 11:08Speaker 1

Heather, you there? I am. Can you hear me? Sure. Can you answer? Okay. I have three updates today. The first is that I met with the city of Sawyer and KGS last week for a project update. They have installed 26,000 linear feet of the pipe. There is going to be 29,000. So, they expect to finish this week.

11:07 – 13:05Speaker 1

Um, they are utilizing a contractor to do all of the road crossings. So hopefully that'll all get done this week. They then will transition to a different team within KGS to talk about how to pressurerize that system. They used a bunch of words I didn't really understand. The bottom line is that this fall the system is hopefully going to be operational prior to um the heating season. The other really good news is that they are not going to hold up the pressurization of that system or um getting it all connected until the other two cities involved in the project, Sharon and Hartner, um they're experiencing some technical difficulties with their projects and having to cross railroad crossings. And so they promised to hook Sawyer up before the other two systems are probably going to be complete. The last piece of good news was it appears that the project may come in under budget. That is a good problem to have, but a problem nonetheless. Um, I will communicate with the KCC to determine if there is excess funds in the project, what has to happen to those funds because those are ARPA funds that flowed through the state. So, that is all good. And the city of Sawyer was really happy to possibly have that system online before the heating season so that they'll have time for testing and all of that sort of stuff. The next update I have is the Kansas Department of Commerce has announced a new grant called Iron. It is um for communities under 50,000 people that might have an industrial building that could be rehabilitated um and put back into use. Um the grant is for up to $200,000. the business is a co-licant with potential government um entity to get the 200,000 to essentially upgrade the building to make it more marketable to a

13:03 – 14:57Speaker 1

a different business. So, for example, if there was a building that if it had an overhead crane would make it more um marketable for a business to come in and use it or if um there needed to be higher overhead doors, those sorts of things. This is a pilot grant. It's the first time Commerce has done this, but they're looking to award to smaller communities across the state that might have an industrial building that just needs a little bit of help to be able to get it back online. And then the last thing I wanted to share has to do with I know you're getting ready to move into budget season. The consensus revenue estimates um were just done in April, which is when the um economists from the state universities get together and do some projections on what's happening with the Kansas economy. the last last month um was when they were reset and in April tax collections were down for the state of Kansas pretty significantly. For the month of May or April um they were up 1.9% but uh commercial income tax so corporate income tax was down significantly as well as retail sales tax. So, when you think about what consumers are spending their money on or if there's any discretionary income in the Kansas economy, the uh that retail sales tax number is something to keep in mind and it was down um for the month and um projections of corporate income tax were missed significantly. So, in terms of signs for the Kansas economy, knowing what gas prices are doing, knowing what uh a input prices are doing, the price of crops, all of those things are just things to keep in mind as um people are making decisions. So, with that, I'm going to be happy to stand for any other questions.

14:58 – 15:42Speaker 1

He Heather, we did have a joint city county meeting this morning. We talked about revitalization. And so I'm going to send an email out either late today or early tomorrow and um I'll probably give you a call after I send it out. We could discuss a plan to getting out to the smaller taxing entities. That would be great. I don't have any questions. Thank you, Heather. Thanks, Heather. One way. Yep. I don't know if you guys are giving something away today or the raffles later. The raffles later. tornadoes or anything. There's a lot of lot of hail. Okay. No,

18:48 – 19:11Speaker 1

no, but on the checklist just follow like it's all public record to print out.

19:07 – 19:50Speaker 1

Yes, no problem. better. I put in an order um for some rain for tomorrow night. I don't know if he'll Okay. DJ come in earlier than half. Yeah, you did that on April Fool's Day, too. And you got everybody all excited. But it was April Fools. So that's on you.

19:47 – 20:13Speaker 1

You believed it. No, it's looking I think there's 70% chance. They're only talking. Well, we could half an inch in some places, but it's just it's going to be a slow drizzly, but it's moisture. True. Drury day. Drury day. I'm in protest. I'm not haircut.

20:16 – 20:45Speaker 1

You're getting shaggy. I am not quite as bad as when things were shut down for CO, but I'm getting Yeah.

20:48 – 21:23Speaker 1

Yeah. Five minutes. I know. Always. Yeah. Four now. Anybody got anybody got any good jokes? Easy. Especially you. What has the adjuster been out there that

21:21 – 22:06Speaker 1

I don't know if the adjuster has. I know the u a contractor came out and take a look. They called me and I think him and Brian have been talking and then it got handed off to another adjuster. But I think Wednesday, today's Monday, right? Wednesday is I think they'll be down. Okay. And making their rounds. That'd be good. My surprise the city silver didn't have anything busted. They're all facing this pretty well north wind. Yeah, it was coming from the north northwest. Those panels are rated to basically golf ball size hell. Well, that would have got

22:03 – 22:46Speaker 1

it baseballs, did you? Yeah, there was pingpong and they had tennis ball at the airport. Yeah, tennis ball at the airport. Jeez. When was that? That recent Sunday or Saturday? Week go Saturday. Mhm. The day after I painted my windshields damaged, that kind of stuff. Windshields, vehicles, trees. Yeah. Animals. Oh, yeah. A lot of hawks and feasant north. A bunch of dead birds and stunned birds walking around.

22:47Speaker 1

Um, well, out at the building, it was a good solid 10 minutes non-stop of just bang. You're so loud.

23:06 – 23:49Speaker 1

We were fortunate at our place. Not one hail stand. Yeah. Well, and that storm was um barely moving at 10 mph. So just sad. I I watched it form over like the LED area which is basically an hour or so north and it just 10 mph when that hell storm came in. It just kept on pounding over and over and over. It was a really big uh path. um where it when you have that kind of wind and slow storm, it just keeps on lofting it back in the atmosphere and gets bigger and bigger.

23:46 – 24:24Speaker 1

Sure. kick the attorney out. Go ahead and start. Yeah, he's sitting there staring at me. DJ, I didn't wear my other glasses today because I didn't want people to confuse me for Tyson. So, I had to stick with my other ones. Can't wait for Halloween. You can start. Let's go.

24:22 – 25:24Speaker 1

Okay. Good afternoon. So I have a application here for Nextera for a uh battery storage. It is um actually the NUSCall battery storage facility um NESCO Flats Energy Storage LLC. So that first paper I have you is the actual copy of the uh application and then after that is the unapproved minutes for that meeting and then we also have that meeting on Zoom that we will um get put on the website so recorded that way. Well, before you before you get into anything else, uh Morgan, will you just go through the call on your checklist that way?

25:23 – 25:54Speaker 1

Okay. I call agenda item number four, which is on case number SU2602. This is for an application for a battery storage facility as a special use in a A1 agricultural district. Does before I proceed does any of the board members intend to disqualify themselves from discussing or voting on this case because it's on

25:56 – 26:41Speaker 1

no the minutes show nobody has disqualified themselves. I don't either. So we have a quorum of three present for consideration of the case. Has the county clerk received any protest petitions? Yes. Do not. I would remind the board that a unanimous vote is necessary to approve the course. Did the planning board receive any comments from a city on this case? Uh from the city? That's what it says.

26:39 – 26:59Speaker 1

That's what it says. say did the commission receive any comments from the citizens on this case? No. Um not from I did I had three people come to the office or the meeting that uh said that they did not want it.

26:56 – 28:55Speaker 1

Okay. And I asked the board members if they've all received copies of the unapproved minutes for the planning board on April 20th. We all have. and it summarizes the hearing on the case. Having determined that members have received the required information, I'm going to call the zoning administrator for a report and then ask the applicant and any members of the public who wish to speak on this case to confine their presentation to new information only not otherwise presented at the hearing. The board may also direct questions to applicants, staff, and other people present. call on our zoning administrator BJ to provide us with a report on the case and recommendation of the planning board. Okay, so case number SU 2026-2 applicant's name is Nennis Flats Energy Storage LLC. The request is for a battery storage facility. Uh the case history application was received on 310 of 26. East A1 agriculture u residents within a th00and feet and then the west is A1 agriculture residents,000 ft. Um application NISK Flats LLC for battery storage. Then for the factors and findings,

28:51 – 30:48Speaker 1

uh what are the ex excuse me um what are the existing uses and their character conditions on the subject property and the surrounding for the neighborhood? Uh current use of subject property is surrounded by areas primarily agriculture. What is the current zoning and subject property of the surrounding neighborhood in relations in this request? The current zone is A1 agriculture. Uh is the length of time that the subject property has remained undeveloped or vacant as zoned a factory in the consideration? No, it is not. Would the request correct an error in application of the regulations? No. uh is the request caused by change or changing conditions in the area of the subject property and if if so what is the nature of the significance of such change or changing conditions? No, not within the subject property. Um, do adequate sewage disposal of water supply um and all the necessary public facilities including street access exist or can they be provided to serve the use that would be permitted on the subject property? That is yes. Would the subject property need to be platted or replatted in lie of the uh dedications made the rightway easements, access control or building setback lines? No, property will not be divided. Um would a screening plan be necessary for existing uh and or potential use of the subject property? It's not feasible.

30:48 – 32:45Speaker 1

Is suitable vacant land or building available or not available for the development that currently has this zone as requested? Yes, other vacant land is available. However, applicant would have purchased the land or um or buildings not currently on the application site. Uh if the request is for business or industrial use or such use needed to be provided more services or employment opportunities, there will be more employee opportunities. Is the subject property suitable for the current zoning to which it has been restricted? Yes. Um to what extent would the removal of the restrictions um the approval of the zoning request determinately affect the property in the neighborhood? Uh the removal of the restrictions would not affect the property in the neighborhood. Will the request be consistent with the purpose of the zoning district's classification and the intent and purpose of these regulations? Yes, such structures are permitted as a special use in the A1 agriculture district. In this request, is the conformant performance uh in the comprehensive plan uh and does it further enhance the the implementation of the plan? county doesn't have a comprehensive plan. U what is the nature of the support or opposition to the request? Um you know my office has not received uh any correspondence in support of the

Is there any information or are there recommendations on the request available from uh professional persons or persons um with related expertise would be helpful in this evaluation? It's not applicable. Uh, by comparison, does the relative gain to the public health, safety, and general welfare outweigh the loss in property value or in the hardships imposed upon the applicant by not approving the request? Loss in property value and hardships imposed upon the applicant would outweigh the negative or the relative gain to the public by not approving the request. um three conditions. 34:29 – 34:53Speaker 1

Well, student AJ, you said the applicant. Oh, well that's what it I'm just Does that have any new information that it wants to post? Yeah, it would be it'd be the same presentation that we gave the plans. Okay. So, it's all recorded in events and everything. Okay. How about from the public? Do we have any public comment?

34:56 – 35:46Speaker 1

Guess not. So applicant has no more comments and we don't either. Assuming we've received all the information needed on this case, you have received we've received an outline of the choices provided under the state statutes for the board's action. How do you wish to act? One is to approve. Two is to re override the recommendation to approve and three is to return it back to the planning board and four is to table it. Do I hear a motion on anything? I'll make a motion. I'll move to adopt the findings and factors. Do we have to go through those or just

35:45 – 36:01Speaker 1

Okay, I'll second that. Well, hold on. Move to adopt the findings and factors and recommendations of the planning board on case number SU-2026-02 and approve resolution number 4-20-26.

36:05 – 36:25Speaker 1

I'll second that. It's been moved and seconded to approve and adopt the findings and factors and recommendations of the planning board on case number SU 202602. All in favor say I. I.

36:20 – 36:58Speaker 1

Opposed same signed. Motion carried. Persons agreved by the final decision of the board on this matter have 30 days until after the effectuating resolution is published with it to appeal to the district court. And thank you for participation in this case. should be the very last paper there

36:55 – 37:32Speaker 1

while you guys are all here. Um the drafts of the decommissioning agreement, road use agreement and um contribution agreement have all been provided to my guys on the road use agreement. We're waiting to hear back from Kirk and Michael on because that agreement differs slightly from the previous road use agreements because there's still construction on the solar. I anticipate I actually had a call right before that I didn't get a take from Perk and Michael. So I'll have a conversation within the next session about that.

37:29 – 38:09Speaker 1

Um just a reminder too before any construction takes place we need the all the decommissioning stuff. We need the shies in place and then the COI as well and I can send that out in an email if you need it. But I know you guys in addition to the conditions that are in the the resolution itself obviously you guys got to follow the rags which is what I was you want to send me a copy of all of this and um are you going to put it in the paper? I can. You'd like me to publish is it it needs to be published the resolution. resolution just once.

38:10 – 38:55Speaker 1

Just send me a copy of my files and appreciate you bringing everyone I'm going to try this again. I tried it earlier. It fell on deaf ears. But may the force be with you. See a little better response. That's not awesome. There we go. Don't you hear any this morning? Okay. Yes. Where's your Where's your I'm a nerd. Yes. So, is there anything else you need from me? No, I don't think so. Okay. See you tomorrow. Yep. I'll see you tomorrow. Thank you. Look forward to it.

38:52 – 39:13Speaker 1

Yeah, absolutely. Should Yeah. Where's our luck? We have an agenda later. I kind Thank you guys.

39:17 – 40:02Speaker 1

Me and you. I guess my schedule. I think I have an open day. You want to join that? Jared's not here yet. You got anything? Well, yeah, we don't have minutes, do we? I kept looking at you like, "Where's the minutes? You already told me you don't have them." Uh, 15 minutes. Yeah. I mean, we could probably do an executive session for 15 minutes

39:59 – 40:44Speaker 1

for attorney client to discuss both PRMC and the zoning related documents that we'll be executing. Okay, I'll make that motion. I'll second it. Been moved in second we go in executive session for 15 minutes for client for zoning rigs and PRMC PRMC leases. Well, they're here. We postpone it. Yeah. Yeah. Let's do that. Come on up. Come on up. Withdraw that motion. We can wait. No. No. We're glad you're here early. Come on up. We want to withdraw the executive session motion. Don't tell us you found dead bodies or anything like that.

40:42 – 41:27Speaker 1

It's been received. No. No. Not yet. No. I just got a quote for the electrical. We've got to do some electrical in there. So, the box that you have is a federal breaker box. We all know how long those run. And everything is fused instead of breaker. And you need since we're going to have more motors, we've got to have some more starters. So, um that's two starters. There's a chance we'll need a third one. The box is the box that I have quoted will be big enough to add a third if needed. Yeah, we'll need the third when we go eventually go to the four. We'll have three.

41:24 – 42:06Speaker 1

Uh, are you removing the excess stuff out of there, too? That that big ass box right in the middle. Yeah, this will replace that and go on the wall and all that will come in. Okay. Is that the one the water's dripping on? That is the one. That is the one. And uh and that's a federal. And the starters that are in there, I'm surprised they're still working with I'm surprised they did they gig us on that. They did gig us on that, didn't they? Yes. Oh, no. Not the federal. Not the fact that it was a federal. I don't know how that was missed. There was one upstairs, too. We had to switch out a bunch of federals, but that one was missed. That was for our insurance purposes. But I guess with the water dripping on it, they probably didn't.

42:03 – 42:38Speaker 1

They probably wise decision. Yeah. Okay. And that's got the buttons and everything for the new motors and everything. Turn key. The only thing we would have to add would be another starter or maybe two if we ever decide we need. We'll need another starter. We only It all fit in this box. Okay. Yep. There's breakers for everything and stuff like that. So I I don't have a problem with it. We're getting all to be done. Yes. Yeah.

42:36 – 43:18Speaker 1

Simple. Yeah, I'll make a motion to approve inter green to get rid of our illegal breaker box and just redo that whole thing in there that room uh for $13,995. I'll second that motion. Been moved and second we have inter green change our breaker box in the boiler room for $13,995. All in favor say I. I post any sign motion carried. Would you guys like that initial? Would you guys like that capital improvement courthouse?

43:16 – 43:50Speaker 1

I think we're taking it all out improvement. I thought that you guys want this back. I mean, yeah, the last one. That's why. Okay. Update in there. Things are coming along. U we got kind of held back on those pumps. There was a little bit of a lead time on those, but they're since installed and piping's going in. Um, we're just showing some flanges that showed up incorrect. I'm hoping I'm hopeful end of the week we're going to be back up and cool. So, supposed to be cooler after it.

43:48 – 44:33Speaker 1

Yeah, we kind of lucked out weatherwise, but that's that's the goal here. Uh, we will have some air issues. So, essentially just going to have to reach out to me and like, hey, this room's not cool. Because there is going to be air issues. We've drained the entire Yeah. So, we'll troubleshoot it. Yeah, we got through it. No big deal. Yep. No big deal. Just takes a little time. So, they get too overheated, they can come in here. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. My office down in here. It room. Yeah. You're not coming in here bothered. He's in the corner for a reason. Got his own window. You guys got any questions for me in there?

44:32 – 45:14Speaker 1

Not yet. Yeah. I'm just glad I figured you come in here and say, "Okay, you got this and this and this and that's wrong and that's wrong." No. No. Everything to me last week. Yeah. Everything's good so far. Just that electrical panel. It's It's We need to clean all scary. So, it's it's not good. There's panels in there that aren't being used. I think we'll look into it and see if there's anything. Most everything in there is being used right now. We've removed some stuff. This big panel will definitely help the cause. Okay. So, we should shut anything down in the courthouse. The only thing it controls I'll have to shut the courthouse off for a little while at some point in time. Switch stuff.

45:12 – 45:57Speaker 1

Yep. I've got So, there's a 400 amp sub feed that goes over and down to that. So, at some point in time, I'll mount the new panel. I'll have everything ready to go. So, maybe Friday at 4:30. Yeah. Whenever I'm allowed to. We'll get all the pipe run and stuff like that. That'll be check with district court because I think they have a trial going on or something. I've got to get all this stuff. I'll need to cut down servers and stuff too. Yes, sir. I'll make sure everybody knows. But half an hour is a good time. That way I can I just do Friday at one or something. No problem. You guys Yeah, I see no problem with that. I'll get with you guys and we'll get get it on the books.

45:55 – 46:37Speaker 1

Sounds great. Would you like me to scan this agreement and send it to you guys the signed agreement? Great. Does that work? Good. Okay. Thanks. Appreciate it. Appreciate it. Have a good day. You can go back into your executive. Okay. Oh, you revoked the last I'll make a motion to go in executive session for turning client privilege to discuss PRMC lease and zoning regulations. For 15 minutes. Second the motion. been moved and second we go into executive session for 15 minutes to discuss attorney client privileges for PRMC and zoning updates. All in favor say I.

46:34Speaker 1

I oppose. Same sign. We will be in executive session.

1:02:27 – 1:02:50Speaker 1

Okay. Make a motion we come out of executive session. No action taken. I'll second it. Been moved and second we come out of executive session with no action taken. All in favor say I. I. Oppose. Same sign. We're back in open session. Jason, how you guys doing today? Good.

1:02:48 – 1:04:10Speaker 1

Good. I just have a couple of things, get you guys updated a little bit. Uh we have a cleanup week next week, 11th through the 16th. We've got everything we need from the city. They're going to send two people. Um I mean, a lot of people think that this week is cleanup week, so it's been interesting this week already being Monday. So, uh other than that, landfill side, everything's going just fine. Uh had a little bit of repair done on on the scraper. Uh but other than that, everything's running fine. Doing fine. Uh recycle side of things. U we're shipping out I've shipped out everything I possibly could here lately. Prices are up slightly and I don't see them going up much more than what we're at now. So we moved newspaper, office pack, cardboard, tomorrow's magazines, and HDP2. Only thing that's not worth much is uh Pete your water bottles. So, we're gonna hold on to them for a little bit longer. I have HHW going out uh hopefully next week if we can make that last barrel. So, uh the only thing else I have is Carl's sixmon

1:04:10 – 1:04:45Speaker 1

and Carl's Carl's doing great. I mean the the the people love him I mean he opens and closes car doors for people and I mean he just he's really hard worker too. He's not one of them damn it calls. Not yet. Not yet. Okay. Uh I'll make a motion that Carl Scriml did I say that right? Uh gets a six month raise from 17 to $18 an hour. Second that

1:04:42 – 1:05:20Speaker 1

been moved and seconded we approve the wage in six-month wage increase for Carl Striml from 17 to $18 an hour. All in favor say I. I post same sign. Motion carried on cleanup week. Jason, can I literally bring whatever I want out there other than HHW? Like can I bring a mower? Yep, you can bring a mower. You can bring pretty much anything that you can think of except for liquids. rimmed tire. Yep. Yep. They're all three. Yep. They're They're paying It's got to be under 20 inches. Okay.

1:05:18 – 1:06:03Speaker 1

That's the only stipulation on tires this year. I think next year is probably going to change a little bit. Tire prices went up for us again. Not only like 20 bucks more a ton, but then a $16 or 16% uh fee of some sort. So, we've changed our prices to reflect that. in the city. Um I think they're gonna make changes next year on that. So if you have some extras, I'll be there. Yep, we'll be there, too. You want more? Come out to my house. But other than that, I think everything's going good. I don't think I have any complaints as as we sit. Did you guys find somebody to mow yet?

1:06:01 – 1:06:45Speaker 1

We do on the 11th. On the 11th. Yeah. and talked to a lot of guys and a lot of them said they're not even interested if they have to water. Yeah. Which this last one we put out it we didn't Yeah. We're going to have to put something. I've had one person called me about Well, if it gets tall again, I'll come over and run through it real quick. Rain first. Well, supposedly rain and Wednesday. Yeah. Tuesday night, Wednesday. Well, we thank you for doing Yeah, we thank you. I just like it. It looks nice when it's done. Understandable. Our only bid had a wreck and

1:06:44 – 1:07:07Speaker 1

1:07:10 – 1:07:45Speaker 1

Is you have anything else? Do you Did we want to talk about Did we want to go back into executive session at all? I don't know. Let's Let's do another 10-minute client to continue discussion of the PRMC. Okay. I'll make motion we go into executive session for 10 minutes for attorney client to discuss the PRMC lease. Second. The problem with that is that Mark uh called out to go with Jared. Let me go hunt him down.

1:07:53 – 1:08:20Speaker 1

I didn't even I saw Jared come in. I never even noticed he wasn't here. I'll make a motion we start paying the vouchers in. I'll second that. She's got to record everything.

1:08:16 – 1:08:58Speaker 1

Okay. I'll resend that motion. Oh, it's interesting. Just teach us how to do that. I think it's just a couple of clicks over there. Yeah, that's what it seems like. I wouldn't trust myself. Sorry, Mark. Sorry. And it rains a poor made a mot make a motion or we had a motion to go executive session join executive sessions for 10 minutes

1:08:58 – 1:09:13Speaker 1

attorney client for attorney client for hospital leases all in favor say I. I oppose same sign motion carried will be in executive session for 10 minutes.

1:19:19 – 1:19:56Speaker 1

Make a motion we come out of session. No action taken. I'll second it. Been moved and second and we come out of executive session with no action taken. All in favor say I. Post. Same sign. We're back in open session. I'll make a motion we pay the voucher. I'll second it. Been moved and second and we pay the vouchers. All in favor say I. I. Post. Same sign. about there's only three of them.

1:20:06 – 1:20:24Speaker 1

There you go. Enjoy that one. Yeah,

1:20:29 – 1:20:43Speaker 1

it's some sign very good session.

1:20:40 – 1:21:32Speaker 1

Thank you. Sasha, was this what you were talking about the other day about setting up the save postage on these type of checks or just

1:21:30 – 1:22:03Speaker 1

on our accounts direct deposit stuff? Um well both on our on our accounts payable. I um I have a call the CIC just to see like what that process looks like for AC like if it's automatic on the business side that will work. If it's not it it's a lot of extra work to go to each of their web pages. Yeah. Yeah. So I'll I'll see kind of see how it works and see how it sets up. But if we could start moving that direction that's one check we don't have to print,

1:22:00 – 1:22:40Speaker 1

right? And it's one envelope we don't have to use and one postit we don't have to is the city's law. He said they cut it in half. I have to look and see.

1:22:36 – 1:23:20Speaker 1

I mean, we got a 3/4 cent sales tax for the hospital and it brings in what 1.2 two million or something like I thought it would cut it in half. Yeah, I don't they put that out Friday. Well, to me looks like their total they have 53.139 mills.

1:23:21 – 1:24:06Speaker 1

How much tax money do they get? I'd have to do the math. Yeah, the extra 1% would almost if they somebody bought a new pickup would almost wipe out that savings. Well, yeah. I mean, not only that, but I'm worried about the businesses because people that call me that don't live in the city limits. Any big purchase that I make, I'm going out there. Going out there. Uh because they're not getting the benefits of sales cash. Yes.

1:24:02 – 1:24:46Speaker 1

And it's cost them money. I didn't I know some people that shop from my company, they said the same thing, you know. Yeah. I'm not getting a benefit from that. So I'll go to Great Bend or I'll go to Alva. Yeah. Because the real people in anybody outside the city limits of Pratt Yeah. is getting help on their property taxes except for the they're the only ones and that county people are paying for. I get the principle behind the sales tax. Yeah, I do. But it's not a fair

1:24:43 – 1:25:06Speaker 1

No, 28,000ish for How much? 28,000ish. 28,000. what the good old guy says. Okay. See, they make money. We don't. So, yeah.

1:25:04 – 1:25:47Speaker 1

That's why I was wondering just how much tax pulled that on me about the thousand thousand ton asphalt and he said they just been buying that for years that same amount. And he said, "We had that made already for him. Then they come up with only one 250." He said, "I'm stuck paying for that 750 that they normally pay for." They could use it. I could show them. Oh, I could too. You want your ro page? You got a thousand tons sitting out there. Better go somewhere else.

1:25:45 – 1:26:27Speaker 1

We did have a vendor stop by. It's the Mountain Man Nut and Fruit. Have you guys ever heard of them? Um, they asked if they wanted if it would be okay if they started stopping by. I guess someone invited them to the hospital and they go every I used to come. Okay. Are are you guys okay if I tell her she can come by here or would she vinders? Do you guys want some of her stuff that she's selling? I mean, I probably won't, but I don't know about anything else. I just didn't want to tell her she could come. And I mean, I don't know if we can ban them from Yeah. Okay. legally. I don't have a thought. I mean, I'd have to.

1:26:25 – 1:27:01Speaker 1

I mean, be If we do that, we got to ban the Girl Scout cookies and Yeah. All that stuff. Yeah. Okay. Anything else? I'll make a motion we adjourn. We recess. Oh, we got Yes. I'll second the motion to recess till tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. for budget workshop. Been moved and seconded to recess till 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning for budget workshop. All in favor say I. I oppose.
