The Portsmouth Town Council held a special recognition for Carrian Nelson, designating February 8, 2026, as Carrian Nelson Day/Cancer Warrior Day. The council also discussed the fiscal year 2027 budget and approved the submission of a Stage 2 capital plan for school facilities to the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE).
