Start free trialPlacer County Sheriff's Office Establishment of a Regional POST-Certified Law Enforcement Training Academy
1. Receive a presentation regarding the establishment of a regional POST-certified law enforcement training academy operated by the Placer County Sheriff's Office. 2. Approve and authorize the Director of General Services, or designee, to execute and administer a Facilities Use Agreement with Auburn Union School District, a public-school district of the State of California, allowing County's use of an approximately 11.75-acre property improved with 41,000 square feet of buildings located at 3050 Bell Road, Auburn, for a three-year initial term for $7,000 per month, subject to County Counsel and Risk Management concurrence. 3. Approve and authorize the Placer County Sheriff-Coroner-Marshal or designee to execute the Instructional Service Agreement with Sierra Joint Community College District with a reimbursement amount to Placer County Sheriff's Office not to exceed a total of $620,100 annually, with a term of July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029, subject to County Counsel and Risk Management concurrence. 4. Approve and authorize the Placer County Sheriff-Coroner-Marshal or designee to execute amendments of the Instructional Service Agreement in the maximum amount of $62,010, and to sign all required documents consistent with the subject matter and scope of work, with Risk Management and County Counsel concurrence. 5. Determine that the requested actions to approve and authorize the Facilities Use Agreement with Auburn Union School District and to approve and authorize the Instructional Service Agreement with Sierra Joint Community College District are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301. 6. Approve a FY 2025-26 Budget Amendment #AM-01316 in the amount of $236,892 by increasing appropriations in the Sheriff Administration budget. 7. Adopt a Resolution authorizing the Sheriff-Coroner-Marshal, or designee, to accept donated supplies and non-capital equipment in an amount not to exceed a cumulative estimated value of $9,530 from Sierra Joint Community College District to support academy operations.
Regional Forest Health Division Annual Report
1. Receive an annual report and provide direction on the Regional Forest Health Division, including current areas of focus, strategic direction, and key activities.
Inpatient Psychiatric Health Facility Services | Agreement with El Dorado County
1. Approve an agreement with the County of El Dorado to provide medically necessary inpatient psychiatric health facility services in an amount not to exceed $490,000 from date of execution through June 30, 2027. 2. Authorize the Director of Health and Human Services, or designee, to sign the agreement, and to exercise the option to extend the term for one consecutive one (1) year period unless otherwise terminated, and sign subsequent amendments that cumulatively do not exceed $49,000, consistent with the agreement's subject matter and scope of work with Risk Management and County Counsel concurrence.
French Meadows Ecological Restoration Project Thinning Services | Award of Agreements
1. Reject eight bids submitted for competitive Bid No. 20637 and approve the award of competitive Bid No. 20637 to AAA Tree Service LLC, Dowling Underground & Networking, Inc., and McKellar Tree Service and Logging, Inc., for mechanical thinning services as part of the French Meadows Ecological Restoration Project. 2. Authorize the Director of Agriculture, Parks, and Natural Resources, or designee, to execute an agreement with AAA Tree Service LLC, in an amount not to exceed $515,518 for the period of March 10, 2026, through November 15, 2026, and to execute any future amendments, subject to County Counsel and Risk Management concurrence. 3. Authorize the Director of Agriculture, Parks, and Natural Resources, or designee, to execute an agreement with Dowling Underground & Networking, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $495,000 for the period of March 10, 2026, through November 15, 2026, and to execute any future amendments, subject to County Counsel and Risk Management concurrence. 4. Authorize the Director of Agriculture, Parks, and Natural Resources, or designee, to execute an agreement with McKellar Tree Service and Logging, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $324,900 for the period of March 10, 2026, through November 15, 2026, and to execute any future amendments, subject to County Counsel and Risk Management concurrence. 5. Approve a FY 2025–26 Budget Amendment #AM-01313 to increase appropriations for Regional Forest Health – SRF in an amount not to exceed $1,335,418. 6. Determine the proposed actions are exempt from environmental review pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15308.
