City Council - Special Meeting

Welcome to the City of Pearland City Council's special meeting. I'll call this meeting to order at 5.53 p.m. At this particular time, we'll have a roll call and certification of quorum. Madam Secretary, all members are present except for Mayor Pro Tem Chavarria. At this time, we'll move to any citizens' comments. I don't believe there were any citizens that signed up for this portion, special meeting. Seeing none. At this particular time, the City Council will now recess the open portion of this meeting and move into executive session pursuant to the provision of Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, which allows the City Council to discuss items listed on the agenda under executive session, but the Council cannot make a decision or take action during executive session. After the executive session, Council will return to open session. We will now recess the open portion of our meeting at 5.54 p.m. and enter into executive session. Council is now returning from executive session at 6.19 p.m. Member Byrum, would you present new business item number one, please?

Number one is 074, Associate Judge. Both the same number.

All right. Certainly, Mr. Mayor. So we have Resolution Number R2026-179, Resolution of City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, appointing Robert Richter, Jr. to Municipal Court Associate Judge with a term beginning September 14, 2026, ending on September 13, 2028. So moved.

Resolution number R2026-178, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, reappointing Eric Bailey to Municipal Court Associate Judge with the term beginning on September 14, 2026, ending on September 13, 2030. So moved. Second.
