And then on the eighth, I attended all along with our mayor, the Centennial Mayor, Stephanie Peacows, goodbye celebration. very sad that her time is up because she did
wonderful things. It's one of our sister cities and I'm excited to see what she does next. I took a work of emergency annotation district tour. on the night with the director Ron Red. It was awesome to see the history that he has in the lobby. with the Parker Waters Orientation District Building, as far as our Native American history. our bolt mining, and then you can know existed right here in Parker in this round of year. So that was fascinating, but then I asked I got to go through the water drinking treatment plan. just how mind-boggling it is and how much infrastructure and science goes into making our are quickly to drink so that is fantastic. And then I suffer longer. our man and Katta member, Diock attended a meeting with our House Representative Anthony Harvey. So we did a tour of Parker with the impression of Ireland Senate market out league. I also attended the double County Homeless Initiative meeting and out that meeting they had a review of the statistics for 2025 in just debris statistics. 3,240 on services were provided in 2020. five from the Douglas County Hollis Initiative and that includes case management, employment referrals, food assistance, and hotel vouchers, transportation, resources, mental and behavior, health support and shelter referrals. And then as I'm excited, I sit on a local board here up one of the of a few called the Parker V. Council and our guest speaker with Senator John Carson. and send her Carson went over the legislative. priorities for this season as well at that meeting. You guys determined for efficiency purposes to put before the voters, whether or not we should repeal the board of adjustments and then put their duties in with the board of planning commissions. because the board of planning commission meets regularly and they're very familiar with the sub of the types of hearings that are
appeals that are these were. could just make wood here. And so that Belly question was on the November Special Election ballot. It was question 2D. and the voters approved it. So we are here tonight to have ornits number 1668. be approved and what that will do is it will transfer those duties that the Board of Adjustment have is repealed and put it into the Thanks a lot. 2015 franchise agreement in place with some minor changes. just these include deletion in a language and section 9. and the provision or a designated public out-sost channel updates to the technical is the Entesting Language and Inspection 11 in other minor clarification. a little bit more about the changes that were made. we're significant to franchise. So we won item was deletion. of the provision of a designated public outstress journal, which the town has not. pursued previously and in its place, Comcast, for all mainstreaming, which are actually planning to utilize for the AP equipment in Council chambers.
